I was wondering if it would be possible to emulate touch controls with a USB keyboard similar to how you can emulate touch controls with a PS3 controller using the sixaxis app. I want to do this for some rhythm games.

I am trying to develop a device which would attach to my Droid and send keystrokes to it, but I need help understanding how the USB OTG works. I have the basic pinout, but is there a reference and instruction set guide anywhere, preferably with example code? Has anyone had any luck developing similar peripherals?

View 9 Replies View RelatedI have had my Incredible for 24 hours now, and I am having problems with the touch input becoming completely unresponsive. Sometimes just waiting will fix the problem, sometimes I have to turn the screen off with the power button and then turn it back on to get it to recognize input. Just as an example, for the last 20 minutes I have been trying to type my password in Market to associate my Google account in order to buy an app, and have given up because I cannot successfully get through typing my entire password without the screen becoming unresponsive to the point that I cannot finish.Also, in regards to the keyboard specifically and not the entire screen in general. When using the landscape keyboard, I CANNOT, no matter what I do, get the keyboard to recognize the character "G" every letter surrounding G works, but G is a no go.Last night I even did a hard reset and that did not fix the problem. Any suggestions or tips would be greatly appreciated.

View 1 Replies View RelatedI'm developing a solution that allows one to use a PC keyboard+mouse to control an Android game (e.g Shadowgun) as a Gamepad.
I want to do this via emulating an HID device connection (as one would connect a real gamepad), but instead I want to inject my own events to this virtual device. there is a shocking amount of material and I'm not quite a kernel/linux professional.
For example, injecting events to the touch input subsystem is easy: just write appropriate events to /dev/input/event2.
after update firmware to 150 & rooted it & repartitiond it & also install MOD CP5.3. All things work very fine except some issues.
1 - custom home screen functions disappeared !!!! (add & remove & rearrangement of home screens).
2 - the radio doesn't work without headphone .... (solved in the same topic mentioned).
3 - what about installing different roms !!!!! (what happens to the re-partition of 2.7!!) and what roms you suggests to me to play with.
and another Qs not about roms ....
1 -what if i want to update the phone to android 4.2 or 4.3 or even 4.4 kitkat !!!!!
2 - how to change lock screen !!! is there any app do that !
3 - how to change incoming call screen !!!!
Is it possible to add secondary functions onto the keyboard? I hate having to keep changing to the numbers screen just to put in 1 number. It has it on the swype keyboard but to get the spelling correction it has a huge box that comes up over the text entry screen . I want to be able to hold down a key to get a number for the occasional number.

View 7 Replies View RelatedJust a quick question about the Captivate. I just got myself an HTC Aria and I love how easy it is to use the touch screen on it. Its extremely responsive. Now my sister has the SamSung Instinct on Sprint and the touch screen is horrible compared to HTCs touch on the Aria. Im thinking about taking the HTC back to AT&T and getting the Samsung Captivate. I am just worried about the touch screen on it and if it will be like the Instincts? If the touch is as good as HTCs Ill get it. If its not, then Ill stick with the Aria because despite its size, its an extremely fun and responsive phone. Any thoughts?

View 1 Replies View RelatedI have a Qware TB-9718D tablet (rebrand of ployer-momo11-speed) with RK3066 CPU and Android 4.04.
I've installed the CWM-ROM-Ployer_Momo11_3-0-8_M1_software_chinese-version_4-2-2_20130425-4-2& CWM ROM (Android 4.2.2) on the tablet and it boots just fine.
However, the touch screen does not seem to work anymore with this ROM. I have tried two touch screen fixes (which were suggested on another site): one of which was the 907c_compatibility_1.2.0.zip
How to fix the touch screen with this ROM? Could I for example extract the touch screen driver from the original ROM's lib folder and use it in this new ROM?
If there's an existing app that offers the same functionality as the default stock options that the hard buttons do.
I'd prefer on-screen icons to 'click' for the
MENU | HOME | BACK | SEARCH
selections that the hard-buttons offer. Do any of the home replacement apps do this? Again, I am not interested in reassigning what the buttons currently do, but looking for any on-screen options instead.
I was using my phone (droid 3) and the app I was using force closed, my phone lagged for a few seconds and then I just put it down so it could catch up. While waiting the screen timed out and when I went to use it I could not unlock it. I can press the button on top and it will turn the screen on or off, and if I hold it it will bring up the power off menu. I tried to call it, and it went through. I got the normal screen to answer it, but I could not answer it. After I hung up I got the notification for a missed call. Everything seems to be working, my screen just does not respond to a touch. What should I do?
View 4 Replies View RelatedThe touchscreen is not responding randomly the device itself is functioning fine but the screen is not use-able. The simple turn off and on the screen fix the problem for a few minutes but then again is not working, and is frozen in the lock screen so i have to do the off/on trick few times to make it responsive. I tried the stock rom the modaco rom and now i am using AOSP JELLY BEAN 4.2.2_r1 but it is all the same. Every time i flashed a rom i did the full wipe. Sometimes is even frozen in recovery mode. It aIso sometimes reboot when it get frozen. I have 1.4a loader and i tried with all the twrp versions now i am on 2.5

Everything worked smooth since 1 year, and 2 days ago suddenly the touch screen stop responding. The phone works, I receive calls but I cannot answer since I cannot swipe. All the side button works, but the front button on the screen (menu, option, back and search buttons) do not work at all. I tried to reboot but nothing. I took sim, battery and microSD out for one entire night and then rebooted in the morning (without sim and microSD) but nothing. I also rebooted the same morning with sim and microSD but nothing. I ended up to try a factory reset even if I dont have a backup but I figured out I cannot do it because when I reboot and press volume up and power button then I cannot press the menu bottom when I see the robot with the box since the menu bottom does not respond!

View 1 Replies View RelatedMy son dropped his Nexus and of course it cracked the glass. The crack is on the side not affecting the view of the face at all and it has a couple of chipped pieces. I was just going to try filling the area with something like silicone, JB Weld, or auto windshield repair.
What I can use that will not interfere with the touch screen. I'm thinking that silicone might be too much like "skin" touching that it might not work.
I have a Chinese touch pad. I tried to install several custom rom (CM9, AOKP, etc ...) as well as Roma manufacturer of tablet very similar to mine (A90 Ampe, Sanei N90, etc ...).The flash firmware or install via Recovery is done very well. The android starts very well. However, the only problem I have is that my touchscreen is not responding.Indeed, I have to connect a mouse to use my tablet.
I love and I think it is possible created a sort of patch to apply via the recovery or via command ADB with the "drivers" of my touchscreen from my original rom.
I already recompiled the image of my ROM so I have access to the entire file structure. But I do not know enough to identify which files that match the drivers of the screen.
I have a Samsung Galaxy i9003(SL). I think there is a problem with touch screen response speed.Although Galaxy SL has a 1 ghz processor and better gpu than SonyEricsson Xperia Mini, It seems that Xperia Mini is faster when we're talking about touchscreen response(messaging,sliding the menu etc)
After trying another lower resolution(i mean lower than galaxy sl) android phones such as galaxy ace, galaxy gio or android sdk(because you can set any resolution with it) I realized touch screen response is related with resolution.
Lower the resolution faster the touchscreen response gets.I found this really annoying. You're paying much more to get a faster and big screen phone. But what you get is slower than the cheaper ones.
Do you think is there a way to lower the resolution on samsung galaxy sl to get a faster response? I found a way to change it but instead of changing the resolution(like 800x480 to 640x360) it changes LCD density and that is not what i want because it does not affect any response speed. or maybe another way? Changing kernel, improving gpu etc?
I flashed a rom then i went to flash gapps the bar was loading then it went off the screen and it didn't do anything.i waited about 5 mins and still nothing.i hit the power button and it shut off i go to turn it on and all there is a blue light where notifications show.black screen nothing else...

View 2 Replies View Relatedi got a brand new S3 In december 2013 , i dropped it an it broke ( both touch and LCD ) I got them replaced by a authorized service . It worked fine 2 months , Two days ago some problem appeared, Touch screen stopped working propperly , it worked only for short periods of time. Now if i press really hard on the right hand corner (Above the return arrow) it works Perfectly ( as long as i keep my finger there) but sometimes it works fine after reboot but in the end it stops (No signs of cracks or damage) , i had CM11. What i've done until now :
-Deleted CM11 and added 4.1.2
-Took it appart and checked the ribbon ( fine)
-Hard reset
- Dummy file generator
Everything works on it buttons ,Before the freezing screen flashes a bit .
I have a xi electronics chinese crappy tablet, it came pre rooted. So I changed he cpu governor and I pressed apply, after that it stuck , and I needed to reboot using power and vol -It booted up but now my TouchScreen doesnt respond on my touches!, I have already tried factory reset using adb , didn't work.
