View 4 Replies View RelatedI don't mean 12/24 hr format. I mean HH:mm:ss format. I want my status bar clock to display something like 23:59:59, I want the "seconds counter" included. How do I do this? Are there any app that can do this or I need to modify some system files (SystemUI.apk perhaps)? My phone is xperia mini pro (rooted).
View 3 Replies View RelatedThis is weird and hopefully only a Moto Droid or local tower problem.
There is a difference of 15 seconds between my Droid's idea of time and UTC/GMT. This supposedly can't happen as cellular communications rely on 10ms accuracy and the Droid internal clock is set by cell towers.
I'm looking for some other Moto Droid developers to take a look and report if there is any time offset in their area. I've written a test app and posted source and apk at http://a9k.net/#droid . There is a screen shot there. It's very basic - show internal time (both System.currentTimeMillis() and Calendar.getInstance()) and show web page at www.time.gov.
Another simple test is to compare the phone's time to a computer that is synchronized to a net time server. You'll need to check seconds or watch for a whole minute. The minutes will not be equal from 45-59 seconds UTC.
The repercussions of an error in setting the internal clock could be extensive. Then again maybe Verizon towers here are whacko in MT?
Is there a way to have the clock show seconds, along with minutes & hours? If not, does anyone know of a third-party widget/app to do this?

View 1 Replies View RelatedNot really a "problem" per se, but an annoyance.I ported my number across to Orange from Voda but in the Phone Status the MSISDN field is still displaying the old number. It's not that I can't remember my number (it's a memorable no. which is why I wanted to keep it), but it's annoying me as I can't seem to get this field to reflect the change.I've tried rebooting it after leaving the SIM out but no difference. Is this just a "bug" or is it something Orange will have to fix/update for me by sending a request to my SIM or something?
View 2 Replies View RelatedRecently, the weather part of the clock widget has not been displaying the right city. the city is very close to where i live though. it is currently showing "east san gabriel valley" but i actually live in "diamond bar". these are both little cities (very close to each ohter) in southern california. is this caused by the cell tower that the phone is connected to? if i enable wifi, the city does show diamond bar.
View 3 Replies View RelatedThey display wrong times when you have the city label enables but when I have the label disabled they appear to be showing correct times. Why is this? Anyone find a fix for this?
View 3 Replies View RelatedI'm looking for an alarm clock app with one very specific feature - allow me to set the alarm tone to automatically stop after X seconds, then start again at the next snooze interval, and play for another X seconds.
Sure it seems every alarm app out there allows me to set Snooze intervals and stuff, but with my waking up habit, I don't like to physically have to touch the phone to get it to shut up until the next snooze interval. I like to lay in bed and let the alarm go for like 3-4 snooze intervals before I finally wake up.
I've tried Alarm Clock PlusV2, Alarm Clock Xtreme, Quick Alarm. None of them seem to have this.
Anyway to remove it without getting rid of the notification bar entirely? When I started to type this thread a "Here are similar thread we found:" deal came up. (I think that is amazing btw) Only thing is all of those thread were regarding phones that aren't a Samsung Captivate. Also I am running Cognition 2.2 beta 2 if that makes a difference.
View 1 Replies View RelatedI apologize if this has been asked before or if this is in the wrong section. I have been searching the forum and the Internet for the answer on how to display the time on the status bar of the Droid. I think I remember seeing it before but now its gone and I've looked through the settings looking for an option to turn it on with no success. Let me know if this is possible.

View 12 Replies View RelatedI want to hide the two icons but not the whole status bar when user enters my application. After exit my application, the two icons can be re-displayed. How should I do?
View 2 Replies View RelatedJust wondering if there is a way to modify the main status bar at the top of the screen. I don't see the point of having a widget clock and a status bar clock, personally I don't want the one on the status bar. Any help is much appreciated. Any modifications are welcome in this thread.
View 3 Replies View RelatedFor the sake of keeping this from going the way every other thread I've seen on the subject always goes: Yes, I am fully aware that adw launcher and launcher pro give you the option of hiding your whole statusbar. No, that is not what I am after, nor is that what this post is about. This is a question for theme developers... Is there anyone out there that knows how to hide the statusbar clock in FroYo? I've been poking around for the past two days trying to figure this one out on my own, but it's not going as smoothly as I would like it to be.
Most of what I've been reading points to the Services.jar file. (Specifically comandroidserverstatusStatusBarIcon.smali)... but any of the threads I've found mention changing the border. I can't find anything in the StatusBarIcon.smali file that indicates border spacing at all. Am I even on the right track here, or am I looking in completely the wrong place?
I dont drawer type notification.. i only want only an icon as notification.

My HTC One's screen is timing out after about 5 seconds. By timeout, I mean going black and I have to unlock the phone to get back to where I was.
Initially, I removed Battery Doctor and I thought this solved the problem, but the issue it returned. Occasionally, usually after I've uninstalled something, it goes back to around 15 seconds, leading me to believe I solved the issue, but then issue returns.
I've gone through the following motions:
Settings > Security > Lock phone after - set to 3 minutes
Settings > Display, gestures & buttons is > Sleep - set to 15 seconds.
Over the weekend I restored my phone completely, which appeared to work at first, but now it's back to timing out abruptly.
As I've typed out this message, it was constantly timing out, then in the middle it did stay awake several times for about 5 seconds, then dimmed, but still stayed on for around 10 more seconds before blacking out.

I just got my new Droid 4 three days ago. It turns of and and comes back on every 30 seconds.
View 3 Replies View RelatedI would like to ask if it is possible to make app that would run on background and would change time on my device every few seconds. Lets say every 5 seconds change time by 3 hours (forward).
View 1 Replies View RelatedThe goal is to be able to change small things in some apps. For example, there is an app called SnapChat which allows you to send a picture for 3 seconds and then closes the picture. In this scenario, I would like to be able to edit the .apk file to allow to stay for 4 seconds.

View 3 Replies View RelatedI purchased a 2nd hand 16gb Tabtech M7 Tablet off ebay. Its running Android 3.0.
Its in great condition but it has 1 problem. When I turn on wireless it turns itself off after a few seconds. It doesn't even turn on long enough to make a list of nearby wireless networks. I've tried a full factory reset several times and this hasn't worked. The factory reset only takes about 2 seconds which doesn't seem very long so I'm not 100% sure that the factory reset is working properly.
My phone will not stay on at all. It will keep restarting unless plugged up to a charger or computer. It will just keep doing that every five seconds I have a galaxy s2 skyrocket.
View 9 Replies View Relatedi was trying to get cwn recovery onto my phone and as said i was unsure of what i was doing (i know im Stupid) i had already sucessfully rooted the phone and i opened mtkdroid tools and clicked backup and recovery the box on the right started to spit out text as my phone became detached from the data cable.
Now when i try to power up the phone the backlight lights up for 3-4 seconds then nothing if i hold
volume + and power with no data cable i get the same backlight for 3-4 seconds
volume + and power with data cable i get a dead droid with a red ! in a triangle in its belly ?
the phone displays a battry bar in blue if i do nothing
the pc seems to recognise phone as universal serial bus
mtkdroidtools does not regognise the phone at all
the phone did say android preloader driver not found but ive installed this and this has now disapeared?
I woke up today to my phone being off, I tried turning it on, and it said low battery - I was able to use it for 10 seconds and then it died. So I tried charging it. It has been "charging" for two hours and now refuses to turn on. But now it constantly buzzes every two seconds. I have 3 chargers, so in case the one I was using was broken, I tried the others, same thing. What is going on?
Now before you say that THIS IS THE REASON! My phone was on the sofa and fell into my dog's water bowl, the second it fell I took it out and checked everything. The inside didn't even have a single drop in it. And the little cotton indicator hasn't changed colour. I have small hopes that this can be repaired.
I am just PRAYING that this isn't because of the water. I am always careful and handle my phones well. But the rare times they slip, they fall in the smallest spaces with water in them. Example, my past phone was tipped from the nightstand and fell perfectly into a cup of water that was on the floor, that was JUST big enough to fit the phone. Same thing with the water bowl, out of ALL the spaces my phone could fall on the floor, it falls right into a tiny space of water...
I have been having a problem with my HTC One phone since I got it. My 4G connection will stay connected for about 30 seconds to a minute, and then it will revert back to 3G. I have already looked this up before and I have done the following:
-Changing my network mode setting to "LTE/CDMA", and then restarting the phone
-Making sure all recent updates have been installed
-Making sure my plan was actually eligible to connect to 4G (it is)
-Making sure there is 4G coverage in my area (again, it is)
-Always leaving "Automatic Connections" on
