My phone will not stay on at all. It will keep restarting unless plugged up to a charger or computer. It will just keep doing that every five seconds I have a galaxy s2 skyrocket.

I think I'm probably going to go insane if I see this stupid grass anymore. The picture isn't even on my phone (anywhere I can see, obviously.) I don't know what to do. I've flashed several Roms, done several factory resets, changed it to a million different images/live wallpapers.

Google Search says "Unusual traffic from your computer network" and WON'T SEARCH. This happens even if I try type in the search or use voice command.
Here we go: Go to Home screen, get into "Settings", then "Applications", then "Manage Applications"In my list, I selected Gmail, then "Clear Data" (when this option is available) and "Uninstall updates" (may be only "Uninstall")I did the same thing for the following apps:Google Play BooksGoogle Play servicesGoogle Play StoreGoogle Search
Then I powered off the phone, waited 10 seconds and restarted. I let it reboot completely and then the 'update' notifications appeared on the Home screen. I updated each app carefully, and let it settle, then updated the next, until all were updated. Google 'Search' now works perfectly!!
I'm an iPhone user. Upgraded from a AT&T Samsung Fascinate to a AT&T Galaxy SII Skyrocket.
When we put her SD card from the Fasc into the Sky, all her pictures didn't transfer over, I guess only the main "Camera" album. I used the Astro app and see that the additional images that aren't showing up must be in a subfolder called ".thumbnails", since it's full of image files.
I downloaded Rescan Media and ran that but it didn't work.
So I just got this phone - previously had a Blackberry - how do I get the led to flash when I get text messages? I did the whole sms settings - enabled led and still nothing

I haven't confirmed this but it appears to turn itself back up after being plugged in to a charger. Any ideas?

I own a Samsung Galaxy SII Skyrocket on AT&T's GO Phone network and I haven't been able to receive confirmation texts from apps and businesses that require phone number verification (Uber, Facebook, Twitter, ect.) Even services like ChaCha can't get through to me. Is there a setting I can turn off to allow these messages to come through?
View 1 Replies View RelatedI woke up today to my phone being off, I tried turning it on, and it said low battery - I was able to use it for 10 seconds and then it died. So I tried charging it. It has been "charging" for two hours and now refuses to turn on. But now it constantly buzzes every two seconds. I have 3 chargers, so in case the one I was using was broken, I tried the others, same thing. What is going on?
Now before you say that THIS IS THE REASON! My phone was on the sofa and fell into my dog's water bowl, the second it fell I took it out and checked everything. The inside didn't even have a single drop in it. And the little cotton indicator hasn't changed colour. I have small hopes that this can be repaired.
I am just PRAYING that this isn't because of the water. I am always careful and handle my phones well. But the rare times they slip, they fall in the smallest spaces with water in them. Example, my past phone was tipped from the nightstand and fell perfectly into a cup of water that was on the floor, that was JUST big enough to fit the phone. Same thing with the water bowl, out of ALL the spaces my phone could fall on the floor, it falls right into a tiny space of water...
I have noticed that after the last update, my touch screen doesn't work for a few seconds on random occasions and then works again after about 3 or 4 seconds. when I'm reading a book and they're about to reveal the mystery or enthusiastically playing a game and it stops working, I get increasingly frustrated that I can't turn the page or that I lost the game because during the last few seconds my touchscreen decided to temporarily stop working.. I just want to make sure there's not something wrong internally.
View 6 Replies View RelatedI have the screen timeout set to 1 min which works fine until I use the phone. When using the phone the screen times out (and locks) in about 5 seconds. This is a real pain when using voicemail etc and you need to interact with the keypad.

I started a thread (link below) at the end of March about having issues with my Skyrocket while using the Otter Box Commuter case. People I talk to sometimes hear themselves echo while I have no problems at all on my end. I've really become frustrated because I love everything about this phone except for this one problem and I'm starting to consider getting something else, such as the One X or the GSIII this summer.

View 3 Replies View Relatedi was trying to get cwn recovery onto my phone and as said i was unsure of what i was doing (i know im Stupid) i had already sucessfully rooted the phone and i opened mtkdroid tools and clicked backup and recovery the box on the right started to spit out text as my phone became detached from the data cable.
Now when i try to power up the phone the backlight lights up for 3-4 seconds then nothing if i hold
volume + and power with no data cable i get the same backlight for 3-4 seconds
volume + and power with data cable i get a dead droid with a red ! in a triangle in its belly ?
the phone displays a battry bar in blue if i do nothing
the pc seems to recognise phone as universal serial bus
mtkdroidtools does not regognise the phone at all
the phone did say android preloader driver not found but ive installed this and this has now disapeared?
When I first bought it, I was not happy with the features it was offering so I searched and found out about the CM7(Cyanogenmod 7) mod, and decided that I wanted to try out a modded phone. I've been using CM7 for a few years now and have just plain become unhappy with what they're putting out and decided that I finally wanted my phone back to being normal and rooted. I booted into my clockworkmod(after backing up all apps/data with TitaniumBackup pro & taking pics/vids/etc off through USB) and decided to wipe my sdcard and all other options that Clockworkmod offers. After doing that I realized I made a horrible mistake...every time I go to reboot my phone, it ends up back at the boot menu and at the top it says "Fastboot Mode - No boot or recovery IMG" how would I go about resetting my phone back to a normal OS without being able to transfer stuff onto it without it being booted and having a USB option.

View 9 Replies View RelatedI just got a brand new Samsung SGH-i727 that I cannot get into Debug mode, which means that I'm bored with it already! I want to ROOT!! I can navigate to the setting, select the check box, and it remains checked, however, it won't indicate Debugging mode ( in the status bar, with the pop-up or otherwise when connected to the PC), and I cannot access ADB to root it! I am at a loss. I have scoured the forums, deleted and re-installed the drivers, deleted and allowed the device to re-install the drivers, used different USB cables, including the original, and a decent aftermarket, used different USB ports, used different PCs, (Two Win 7's, and one WinXP, all to no avail. I am upgrading from a Cappy, that was rooted on this machine, but for some reason, the 727 just doesn't want to work!

Yesterday (08/08/10) my X10 said there was a new update available and to download correctly I needed to connect it to a computer update through PC Companion 2.0. I did this and followed all the on screen instructions correctly. I got to the final stage and it asked me to disconnect the phone switch it off remove the battery, reinsert and then turn it back on again. The instructions said it may take awhile for the phone to come back on again because the phone will be updating. So far my phone has not come back on again after 24 hours of waiting, all that happens is the sony ericsson logo is displayed for about 10 seconds and then the phone turns off then the same process is repeated. Any ideas whats happened or what I can do to fix this or will it be a job for Sony? I have emailed them but of course they were absolutly no help what so ever.

I backed up my phone through titanium backup then downloaded cyanogenmod and installed it through rom manager. i cleared my cashe and backed up in rom manager. my phone now just boots up to the droid screen then resets. its like a endless cycle lol. is there any way to get my phone back in working order or is it bricked?
