I own an HTC Desire HD, and the screen was damaged, by putting pressure to the device.The symptoms are the in its right side I have a black area which doesn't show anything, but does respond to touches, and also sometimes the whole screen doesn't show anything, at least until I give it a strong hit.I would like to fix it by myself, but I don't know if changing the LCD screen itself is enough.

I have my SD card full of music, well not full, around 3gbs worth synced with Silling media sync (itunes playlist syncer) i plug it into my car stereo via USB the stereo is the Alpine X305 which plays mp3 etc from USB drive. The phone works at first, plays the music etc all day long, but when i come to get out of the car and disconnect the USB from the phone, the desire comes up with: Preparing SD card then SD card damaged, you will need to format the SD card. I tried this again with a freshly formatted SD card and it does the same every time the phone is unplugged

Tried to push it down so it does not catch on anything, but it does not seem to help. Its always in a case and has no damage........on the phone to HTC support at the moment and sent them picks. Waiting on a reply at the moment.
View 19 Replies View RelatedI bought a brand new Samsung Galaxy S on 8th October 2010 in Bangalore, India. two weeks later my screen developed a bright white line on the bottom. ( see pic attached ) I have not dropped or mishandled the phone in any way. I took it to the nearest samsung service centre... they told me that the display needs to be replaced ... They say that the phone display is out of stock and they dont know by when it will be available.
I feel really cheated ... after purchasing such an expensive phone one never expects it to malfunction in less than 2 weeks. And samsungs customer care reps very conveniently replied that they dont know when it will be in stock and to keep in touch via calls. So much for buying an amazing phone.
I used Notpod to transfer music into my Galaxy S2 in the SD Card file but after I disconnected there was a notification saying "Media Scanner Running" And after it finished scanning it gave me a notification that the SD Card have been damaged, try reformatting. I formatted the SD card and proceed to redo the whole thing again only to get the same messaged. I've restarted my phone, I've took the SD card out and put it back in but nothing seems to work.
View 2 Replies View Relatedmy s4 was accidentally rained on for only a short period of time and was working other then it telling me i had head phones plugged in but that was no big deal. then the screen started to flash green and now won't show any picture. the phone is still working i have the little blue light flashing because i have unread msgs and the main button works just not the picture and im guessing the touch part of the screen. i have photos of my new born son on there that i wish to retrieve. when i plug it into the computer it recognises the phone but in the photos folder it only has screen shot pics not my camera pic's. would these photos be saved to anywhere else on the phone or on the sim. is there any other way to retrieve these photos.

It started saying it was full, so I'd delete a picture here and there but eventually it just stopped loading my picture gallery it was so full, and my sd card just stopped working completely. It said I needed to format it, so I took all of the pictures and put them on my computer and tried to format it, but It said it was damaged. Also, previously I didn't know that you had to mount and unmount it when taking it out so I don't know if that had anything to do with it. So anyway, I buy a new SD card, try to mount it. It says it's damaged. A little while later, I buy another card figuring it might just be that card was messed up. STILL SAYS IT'S A DAMAGED CARD. These are two brand new cards I tried, so I know it's something to do with my phone, but I don't understand.

Now the device home button no longer works, the screen does not lock anymore, I can make calls but can not receive, always falls on the mailbox, anyway .. Sometimes my mobile taker restart with that message when "SD card unexpectedly removed or SD card damaged" message is shown I am unable to use SD memory's apps.
Just got me a Guomi F3 (in Chinese, 国米 F3) and I'd like to do a clean install in English. I didn't know much about Android but I have been searching and learning to handle this situation I'm under.. I lost backup ROM and can't find a compatible one on the net yet.
This phone seems to be very new (and very minor) so I can't find a manufacture ROM or even manufacture's website..

I have Zenithink ZT-280 ZT 102. When I try to turn on it's only "System is demaged, please try to recover from external storage." I tried to enter fastboot (Home button + Power On) but it doesn't work. When I connect device to PC nothing happens. Is there any chance to repair it?

It doesnt recognize my sd card, nor its own internal nand storage anymore. (Apps from Google Play can still be installed on its App partition tho)
I dont know what to do, since i cant even flash an update through CWM anymore without a functioning storage medium. The sd card works fine on my pc and i cant format the internal storage through my tablet.
I already made a post about this (more than a month ago) where someone advised me to use ADB. But that doesnt work, so i installed Connectbot, which works.

Now my problem, I was recently running out of internal memory (which was 8 GB) so I formatted my internal memory from my computer. After that my internal memory has disappeared. Now I keep receiving a "damaged storage" message. When I touch it, a format option comes up but when I format it a message appears "checking for errors" but nothing happens. I tried reseting my device but no luck there. I can still access the external memory sd card.
P.S. My device is not rooted
my android phone is Alps MITOT300.I tried to format my mini sdcard to ext4 type using MiniTools Partition Wizard on windows 7 , but when I put it back to my smartphone it keep saying "Damaged SD Card" , I format it using different phone but it keep saying the same thing over and over ...

I have one Star LT29i (chinese xperia clone) with dual cpu (mtk 6577) 1ghz, 5mpx back camera end 1.3 mpx front camera, and android 4.0. I made the stupid this morning at the 3 am, i overwrited some files of the rootfs and now... I cant find a flshing tool and a valid firmware, Phone doesnt bootup, i made a emmc reset from the recovery, but the Android Boot shows the icon of Damaged FS, i can use the recovery.

View 1 Replies View RelatedI was at Benihanas last night and my Nesus One was acting a little sketchy. Glitching while going in and out of the camera/camcorder. Since I had quite a bit of up time I rebooted and got the "SD card damaged you may have to re format it" error. I have a 16g Sandisk micro sdhc class 2. I bought the chip separately at office depot 8 months ago and spent $100 bucks on the thing because I read all over the forums about how people were having issues with the cheap ebay chips. This happened once before on my mytouch with the same chip. After I was threw crying in my cool aid I just formated the card and moved all the music/movies back over from my laptop. No biggie.
This time, my computer isn't even registering the card when I plug it in at all. After pulling up the notification and formating the card it will check for errors for what seems like an unusually long period of time it pops back up with the damaged sd card notification again. I have formated over and over, pulled the battery and removed the card and rebooted several times and even checked for updates for my laptop and rebooted it as well and just cannot for the life of me get this card unlocked. Here I am on vacation with my bran new $500 phone with a custom $100 chip in it and cannot even take an effing picture. So of course my Iphone and Blackberry fanboy friends are having a field day on me.
how I woke up this morning to my phone saying the sd card is damaged? When I went to bed it was fine. It works in my computer?

I do have a back up SD files on my computer but I just don't know how to load it, since my laptop is not reading the USB connection.
View 4 Replies View RelatedI'm the owner of a HTC Hero for three days and I'm already thinking the darn thing isn't worth a penny. I bought it together with a 16gb Sandisk sdhc class 2 card and it keeps damaging the filesystem every day. It starts with the native media player not working correctly (Sorry the player cannot play this audio file), although it could play it like 10 minutes ago, then going on to not even recognizing the sd card anymore (showing Total & Available Space as 00). Unmounting the sd card and then removing & inserting it again then brings up a message that my sd card is damaged and that I should format it, however clicking format doesn't do anything.
The best part about this is that neither of the product reviews I've read showed this issue, although there are so many frustrated android users that keep telling the same story of not-working sd cards. I wonder why neither google nor HTC offer a patch / workaround. It's just not possible that no one noticed this problem during the development process. Is there anyone who has the same issues or can offer some advice? If I can't get this fixed in some days then I'm returning the phone and switch to something that will really work.
So I am using SuaveSmush as my current ROM, but I wanted to try a Froyo ROM out. I am currently using A2SD. When I flash the new ROM, it says that the card is damaged or not recognized and when I click on it, it wants me to reformat it. If the ROM (Froyo) supports A2SD, shouldn't I be able to use it right away, or do I have to revert back to an earlier state with the SD card and then repartition it when on Froyo?

I'm using the Oxygen ROM on an HTC Desire HD. When I leave my phone alone for a while and come back to unlock it, performance is often slow for 20 seconds to the point where swiping between launcher screens is sluggish. After this time it goes right back up to normal speeds.
Is this possibly related to the CPU settings in my ROM? The settings are available governors - interactive, min CPU - 245MHz, max CPU 1024 MHz. My guess is that when the phone's idle it goes down to 245MHz and takes a while to get back up to regular speeds. Am I looking in the right place and how much would increasing min CPU frequency affect my battery life?
My friend had an HTC Desire HD and it impressed me so much i actually wanted to but it off him, even though its about 2x worse in specs than my current phone, but it has the most beautiful user interface i've ever seen.I'm talking about the HTC DHD weather unlock animation.I first noticed it when i asked the friend to make a call and upon unlocking the phone the screen froze over and it started to snow, it was pretty amazed by how good it looked, and how accurate it was since it was really snowing outside.Here it is. I think this is one of the best looking widgets/launchers i've ever seen, and i have a question, not as much as a request.I do know that this is "exclusive" to sense, most likely 3.0, but would it be theoretically possible to rip out the launcher/weather widget you saw in the video? I'm currently using a SONY Xperia GO , and i would like to port the needed things to it from sense (3.0?) to it. How do i do it? i've downloaded 20+ widgets/apps from the play store and didn't find anything ever NEAR as beautiful, or as functional. Most of the apps/widgets require you to click on the widget to see a weather animation, thats not what i want.
How do i port the sense (3.0?) launcher/weather widget? Is there an app that is as functional and looks similar?
After unlocking bootlader successfully from HTCdev I tried to install custom ROM (android revolution HD). After installing revolution HD i rebooted but screen stacked at T mobile logo. I tried again and again but facing same problem.
