I picked up a Zeki TB782B for my kids to use and I have been really happy with it as an entertainment tablet. I have put my daughters gmail account into it and gmail works great, but contacts app does not show up anywhere including apps. It is on the tablet as a native app, Titanium is backing it up and it seems like it should be running. I rolled back the system updates to the app and still nothing.

View 4 Replies View RelatedI installed two apps Sms Wishes and Sms Scheduler. Both do the same work, scheduling sms. I write a message, select the time for schedule, and select contacts. Both of them showing 11 contacts from my contact list but I have hundreds of contacts on my Phone, Sim, Gmail, Facebook... I think there is an accessing problem for apps to my contacts. I searched but actually couldn't describe the problem with right words. Is there any idea how to solve it or any article or forum page you have seen?

Installing apps, uninstalling apps, etc, etc. It has become a little laggy, certainly not as fast as when it first arrived. The main things that concern me are how to backup all of my contacts, including their pictures. As this has taken me some time to compile. I have backed up my contacts to the sd card, but i dont think this does the pictures as well.

View 4 Replies View RelatedWhen I start a new thread for sending a text, I look up the person in my contact list. The problem is that for some people I have multiple points of contact. (ie cell phone, home phone, fax, email address) Let's say that I want to text a person named Jason. If I have 6 people in my contact list named Jason, by the time I type in the 5 letters in Jason (I haven't limited it by their last name yet) I could still have 24 contacts, if every one of those Jason's had a cell, home, fax, and email in my contact list.
Is it possible to have my phone or the settings on my contact list or settings in my texting/messaging application set so that only mobile phones show up in the contact list when Im IN the texting application?
Even if there is a unique name I don't like having to select that person's cell number contact - as opposed to their email, fax, or home contact when I just want to send a quick text.
How to make ics show only contacts with phone number? I really miss this feature, I hate seeing my contact list as an endless list with email addresses.

I'm wondering if there's a way of finding out which ones take the most juice or are always running when I don't want them to do I can get rid of those few.
I want to link all of my facebook contacts so they show up in my gmail contacts? Otherwise, the contact on my phone from Facebook may be, and in many cases is, missing lots of relevant information. For example, many people don't keep their full address, or their phone number, on Facebook. If this is so, then no phone number or address is stored on my phone for the many friends who got in my contact list via the Facebook Motoblur magic. I can update these manually, via the phone screen-keyboard, but I would like to use the much easier-to-access PC to gmail user interface. But alas, I cannot, as all of these Facebook contacts don't show up on the gmail list at all.

It doesn't show me apps to buy for money. Nothing. Also there are apps which I can't download because it says 'This item is not available in your country'
I used my friend's email to log into play store and the problem's gone. Everything work fine. I created a new email account but it still doesn't work I can only fully use play store using his email.

I got so far
- Act Player.. does the job but only on Gingerbread (I have a GB Galaxy S phone). On ICS the playlist feature does not work
- Vplayer - does not support shuffle and after 4th or 5th video starts to stutter
- Mobo player - does the job but does not support shuffle and the little monster is getting tired of the first 10 vids she has to watch all over again every day
I'm on a rooted v2.3.4 phone.
The stock battery usage graph screen doesn't show any apps, only core Android elements like Phone Idle, WiFi, Display, etc.
It's not because apps didn't use enough CPU time.
I just have purchased a Nexus 7. I went to the google play website and I used to be able to see all my devices individually and see what apps were installed on each device and all the apps in my library. It made it easy to add apps to a new device. Now I just see all the apps installed but not broken down by device, so I have to click on each individual app to see on which device they are installed. It is a more convoluted process, and I would like to see on the website at a glance which apps are installed on each device I own. Did something change or something I am missing? I also can't log in do the device manager with Chrome but I can with Safari. Mac OS X10.8, Android 4.1

I recently called someone and wanted to add them to my contact list. In call history, I clicked the little file picture and added their name, saved it as a google contact, and saved it. If I go to People, the name doesnt appear. So I went to the People app, entered their info, made it a google contact, saved. Still didnt work. Even manually synced my google account. So then I changed the "view" to show every option and slowly ticked off each box til I realized that only if "show auto gmail contacts" is ON does my new contact appear. It was also "linked" to 3 other contacts (the same one that I kept adding over and over wondering why it wasnt appearing). So, of course I do NOT want everyone I've ever e-mailed in my contact list, so the question is, how can I add/save any contacts and make them appear in People?

All my contacts have safely come down from Google and appear to all be there and fine, however my third-party apps aren't seeing them. If I start a text message in "Messaging", it reads the contacts and offers me choices. But if I do the same in "Handsent", my messaging app of choice, it does not. Likewise, "Gmail" sees the email addresses in my contacts fine, whereas my regular email app, K9, does not.

One of them is a work email, and I'm changing jobs soon so I need to get all the contacts/apps linked to that account to switch over to my personal account. m running avast and lookout premium and they cant find anything! ive looked through running apps and cant find anything obviously amiss. its sending messages like "do you know this hot sl*tty bird? then with some dodgy link i havent clicked on. i havent downloaded any apps recently but i surf a lot on my phone so maybe a dodgy site i went to? the messages it sends are not showing up on my phone, the people im sending them to are showing me.

Cant really do the limit privelages to apps one by one as i get no notification when they send a msg so hard to police like that.
Just installed first non HTC based ROM (CM10). It doesn't ask to sign in with gmail and then doesn't sync contacts and apps. I tried putting in my gmail account where it asked for my email and yet no contacts or apps.

If i download for example the source of Contacts.apk it shows errors like "ACTION_CALL_PRIVILEGED cannot be resolved or is not a field".

I realize this is not an EVO question, but I'm hoping someone more clever than I can help me with a solution. My wife and I are both getting our EVOs today. My current phone is a Blackberry Curve and has Google Sync, so I am all good there. Unfortunately my wife has some old Motorola that came free with a 2-yr contract, i.e. a POS without any google integration. I have managed to get all of the contacts onto her SIM card, but now I don't know what to do with it. I am pretty certain that Sprint phones don't use SIM cards, so obviously I can't just pop it in the EVO. I tried putting it in my phone, but apparently all of my contacts are stored on my phone's internal memory, so it came up with a merged list of both our contacts.

Also, the worst part is even I link it manually, I can't find the contact on the facebook for HTC?! However, I can find contact perfectly with the facebook app on the phone or on the computer. I just don't know why somehow my facebook contacts are missing while I try to link them. Anyone has the solution for this?

I synced my facebook account in order to have pictures for my contacts. Problem is, there are only about 50 people whose numbers I want in my phone. Not the all of my 400 some odd facebook friends. In the People app, I simply unchecked Facebook from the Menu>View screen to unclutter my contact list.

View 1 Replies View RelatedI just installed fatal1ty's hero rom version 1.4 last night on my rogers magic(a version modified for 32a) and I have a couple questions about the different apps. First of all, is there any way to make it show only contacts with phone numbers? Every time I send a message with gmail, that email is automatically added to my contacts but I don't really want to see it there when I'm looking for phone contacts. It makes my list very long. I know I can do this with apps like aContacts but I want to use the HTC contacts app if possible. Second, I was playing some music and then my lock screen wallpaper suddenly decided to change to the album art. I assumed that it was supposed to do this but then after I stopped playing the music it stayed. I then changed the lock screen wallpaper but it did no good. Finally, how do I add words to my dictionary. The keyboard seems identical to the one that I had as a stock rogers magic except the "add word" button has disappeared.
View 8 Replies View RelatedOn my DROID X with 2.1, I was successful at transferring my Contacts after uploading a csv file to GMAIL made from my old phone (Samsung Omnia). What I have ended up with on my Droid X is only being able to see the contacts in "All Contacts" and none of them show up in "Phone Contacts". Also, even in "All Contacts" , all it gives is the name of the person, and no other attached information like phone number, address, etc. When I go to check the contacts online on the PC on GMAIL, when I click on an individual contact, all the missing information on the DROID is there and perfectly intact. Losing my mind over this and hoping and praying I will not have to pull up "Edit" on all 210 entries and enter the numbers and adresses by hand.
