Can't upload photos to Facebook using Chrome (updated, v31.0.1650.59) on Android 4.4 - Nexus 4.
It says: Your browser is not compatible with direct photo upload (image below). WTF?

Now I have the option to upload. Quick Office file browser, and still gives me an error.

Anyone know how to unclog stalled uploads to Facebook? I've tried to upload vacation photos but they don't get through + remain somewhere between the cloud + my T-Mobile MyTouch phone. I've tried clearing the cache as well as logging off + relogging. Nothing seems to work. Any advice?

I'm having some issues with the facebook app (native). I can't seem to upload photos, I don't get an error message or anything just photo cannot be uploaded.
I've been having problems with the native app, therefore I downloaded BLOO. I just don't like the idea of having 2 different FB apps to do everything I want to do :- would love any advice.
I've tried having wifi off and on and neither made a difference, and I've restarted the phone
Has anyone been able to tag people in photos for facebook upload. Had a funny picture of a friend throwing up after a long night of drinking and wanted to tag him in it for a good laugh but had to log on to my PC to do so!

Until three days ago uploading photos using the share option when viewing the photo worked fine. Now however when I attempt to upload a photo I get an error message saying an error has occurred when uploading the photo and the browser then shuts. Has anyone experienced the same problem and able to offer a solution?

View 6 Replies View RelatedIf I search for "My photos" or "My photos of trees" (for example) in Google.com search on the desktop via Chrome, or from iOS Chrome or iOS Google Now, it works as expected and shows my pictures from my Google+ photos as it has since Google rolled out the feature months ago. However, on my new Nexus 7 running 4.3, I get no results from Google+ at all, whether I use Google Now or even just Google.com via Chrome.
I'm logged in to Google+, on Google.com via Chrome I see it in the header bar, but no "Google+ results" appear in my search results. Other services appear to work as expected, such as package tracking via searching "My packages". Saying "Show me photos of..." will pull up image results from the web. The only way to search for my Google+ photos I can find is to go to the Google+ app, to photos, hit the menu button, and then search. (terribly hidden, by the way!). That works fine.
Is it possible Google doesn't have this feature on Android Chrome or Android Google Now, but has it on everything else (desktop, iOS)?
How do I upload photos to threads via the Android Central app? I do not see any option... I was trying to upload pics to a thread

No it has started working again, so any pics I take go to instant upload as they should. But, the many pics taken during the months that it wasn't working are still on the phone and not on instant upload. It seems like it should 'sync' them but it is not - it is only sending any new pics I take, not the old ones.

I tried using the Hard drive function but when I look in the file manager on my PC desktop, I don't see any folders containing the photos I just took. They're in the phone, honest, just can't upload them. How do I do it? I even downloaded a file manager (Astro?) from the droid store but it had dozens and dozens of folders and I have no clue. The manual says photos I take are stored on the sim card so I even tried taking that out, putting it into the SanDisk adapter and plugged that into a multiple card reader and still couldn't find the photos. The application mainly uses SOAP webservices to communicate with the server, but I do not know how to serialize a stream of bytes in KSOAP and therefore I need some help. The solution should not necessarily use KSOAP. A valid solution would be to upload the photo on some server, and just retrieve the URL, which will be stored in the database.

I'm blown away by the picture quality but I still don't understand the best way to save/manage photo's on an online site. I know there's Picassa, Flikr and Photobucket. Has anyone tried multiple sites and determined the best tool to save pictures. My goal is to be able to easily upload them from my phone (without having to connect to PC) and share the albums online. I've done a little research and it looks like the Photobucket app might be the way to go.

I want to delete them, but cant find out where they are saved. When I try to delete them from my album, it will give me the option of deleting any foto I WANT that I've put on, but not the BLOAT rubbish of people/places/brick walls etc that I dont want. I've now disabled Fbook to stop any more.

This allowed me to upload pix and videos from phone to pc and viceversa. I did a hard reset to my phone and lost all settings. Can't remember how to set it back.

View 16 Replies View RelatedThe Facebook downright sucks. It's a poor implementation... often get errors when trying to post a comment. And having pics and notification links just link you to the web version is quite lame. WHEN can we expect a refresh of the Facebook app?
