I was using CM7 passion (nexus one) nightly #237 and I've learned that everytime I unlock my phone using CM7 lockscreen, it auto fades out into the homescreen.
But yesterday I was flashing to the latest update #253. I could not get back the little fade out animation after you unlock the CM7 lockscreen. Any trick to enable that?
I am a Sony Xperia neo V user that recently upgraded to ics stock rom. Just wanna ask how do people enable the crt tv effect like in nexus phones. I am a rooted user.

I'm trying to make my own boot animation (A simple android kitkat logo), but when I put it in /system/media/bootanimation.zip and reboot the phone, it goes to black screen.
I followed the steps described in that guide and read that post, but they didn't share the solution and the mediafire link is dead. I'm attaching my current bootanimation.zip
Recently I flashed to this ROM [URL] .... from a stock ROM. Have done it a few times before and no problems have occurred. It's an MIUI rom and I decided to customize the theme a little. The themes section allows to change most of the detail ie fonts, status bar, home screen, lock screen, icons, boot animation.
And that's where it started, when I changed the boot animation, instead of using the default one. When I did a reboot after the switch, the usual boot logo was up, but then the screen turned pixelated like a CRT monitor/damaged LCD screen with colourful pixels. But then in boot into the new animation all fine, and has been ok since. The device boots fine, but I'm worried about that pixelated screen.
My friend had an HTC Desire HD and it impressed me so much i actually wanted to but it off him, even though its about 2x worse in specs than my current phone, but it has the most beautiful user interface i've ever seen.I'm talking about the HTC DHD weather unlock animation.I first noticed it when i asked the friend to make a call and upon unlocking the phone the screen froze over and it started to snow, it was pretty amazed by how good it looked, and how accurate it was since it was really snowing outside.Here it is. ( not my video, but exactly the same thing)

I think this is one of the best looking widgets/launchers i've ever seen, and i have a question, not as much as a request.I do know that this is "exclusive" to sense, most likely 3.0, but would it be theoretically possible to rip out the launcher/weather widget you saw in the video? I'm currently using a SONY Xperia GO , and i would like to port the needed things to it from sense (3.0?) to it. How do i do it? i've downloaded 20+ widgets/apps from the play store and didn't find anything ever NEAR as beautiful, or as functional. Most of the apps/widgets require you to click on the widget to see a weather animation, thats not what i want.
How do i port the sense (3.0?) launcher/weather widget? Is there an app that is as functional and looks similar?
I'm fading out an imageview with alpha animation. I'd like the image to stay transparent after the animation. Tried with different combinations of fillAfter and fillEnabled, no luck. How can this be achieved?
View 1 Replies View RelatedI have a strange issue - from time to time the animation that should fade out my control (ImageButton) does not kick in immediately. I am using the fadeout animation to hide it and then in myListener on its end (onAnimationEnd) I put new resource as the image on the button.
Somewhere in my app code:
Animation a = AnimationUtils.loadAnimation(this,R.anim.fadeout); a.setAnimationListener(new myListener(location)); buttons[location].setAnimation(a); a.startNow(); // regardless if its start() or startnNow() it will work in most of the cases but not 100% reliable I actually can see in debug Log when its late, happens after few more clicks
Then in myListener.onAnimationEnd(Animation a):buttons[location].setImageResource(R.drawable.standard_button);
Seems there is a rule that the every 4th or 5th animation does not start ...
I have a rooted eris running "Eris_Official_0.8.1T2" rom. I have seen threads about how to change the boot logo/animation, but no one knows how to remove the animation entirely. I would like the verbose boot to display on start up if possible. Has anyone done this? I have seen something similar with the android on iphone(at 1:53 in the video)
View 1 Replies View RelatedI have created a custom component in my program by extending a ViewGroup. This component listens to touch events and are supposed to start animations when the user has move their finger past some certain points.I'm able to start animations while the user is touching the screen. But I'm not able to start animations if the user doesn't move their finger. It's probably that the phone thinks it doesn't have to update the screen if the user isn't moving their finger.I added some logs and according to them the animation starts and ends but it doesn't draw on the screen. I have the same problems when starting an animation with a timer.I use AlphaAnimations and Translate Animations on ImageViews. I have tried to use invalidate() both on the component and the ImageView but it doesn't help.Anyone who has an idea how to solve this?
View 1 Replies View RelatedI've seen the Motorola Droid users doing this, but I'd like my own custom animation for the boot up screen on the Galaxy. Anyone know how you go about that? I tried copying a bootanimation.zip file in there as per the Droid instructions but looks like the Galaxy doesn't use it. Where are the boot up screen/animations stored on the Galaxy?
View 2 Replies View RelatedI have to send my X back and well, it has the boot image of an android peeing on an apple. I don't think Verizon will take to kindly to that. So I have to reset the entire phone and get it back to factory defaults. I don't know how to change the boot animation.
View 3 Replies View RelatedI am trying to get a slide down animation to work, and it seems to work except that it starts with a big black screen instead of the screen that was there. So I have layout1 and layout2. When I start the animation using ViewFlipper.showNext it puts a big black background over layout1 and then slides in layout2. If I use ViewFlipper.startFlipping() it slides in layout2 out as it is sliding in layout1 -- which is what I would expect.
My slide_down.xml looks like this:
<?xml version="1.0" encoding="utf-8"?>
<set xmlns:android="http://schemas.android.com/apk/res/android">
<translate android:fromYDelta="0" android:toYDelta="100%"
android:duration="4000" android:detachWallpaper="true"/> </set>
My java code looks like this:
ViewFlipper vf = (ViewFlipper) findViewById(R.id.DropDownList);
vf.setAnimation(AnimationUtils.loadAnimation(this, R.anim.slide_down));
vf.showNext(); or vf.startFlipping();

Works well, I keep rebooting and installing incorrect apks to bootloop.
I have this animation I made but I'm not that knowledgeable with the desc.txt file. My part0 folder is below could someone please write the desc.txt file, zip it and get it working for me please. I'd like it to stretch the width of the screen and the height doesn't matter. I have it currently at 480x240 and like it there. I've tried a few times but I keep getting the dreaded black screen.
View 8 Replies View RelatedAll of a sudden my girlfriend's Nexus One is rebooting somehow. She fires up her phone, it boots just fine, after a few seconds when everything is loaded, u can scroll thru the menus etc, it seems to reboot, but real fast, the animation comes up, and 2sec later the home screen is visible again. It keeps doing this.
Any ideas? The phone is not rooted, no custom rom, just a few regular apps form the market installed, nothing fancy.
For the past 2 hours I have been searching this site and reading about Rooting and Flashing new ROM's etc. and I'm still having trouble. I downloaded Cyanogen 6.0.0 and when the phone re booted it got stuck at the Cyanogen boot animation screen, and when I pulled the Battery and rebooted in to recovery I was able to restore everything and now the phone works again.
So first off, how long should it take after downloading a new ROM to boot back up with the new ROM installed? And how can I save the ROM in to the SD card? And when I go to DL Cyanogen it asks which home application I should use and gives me ADWlauncher and Launcher 2 as options.
Is it possible in Android to get a callback when a Frame Animation (AnimationDrawable) has completed playing its frame sequence? I know when a Tween Animation has completed, it calls onAnimationEnd(), but is there something similar for frame by frame animations?
View 1 Replies View RelatedI made a boot animation. Not great but I am trying. Anyway, I can get it to look right when it is set to the center of the screen (480x427 not full screen) but when I set it to 480x854 (full screen) it gets stretched out. I was told the png files had to be 256x256 so I don't know what I could change so it doesn't look stretched. My animation looks like my avatar that I made and it looks just like it does here before applying the 854 settings. After seeing a lot of other custom boots mine isn't looking so good.
View 1 Replies View RelatedI'm trying to do something in android, and I'm not sure how. I have this ListView, which I update with new info from time to time, and I would like it if I could have a transition effect when the new data is in, like the "Slide from the left" affect that I get when calling in a new activity. But I'd rather not open a new activity for each new peace of data, as that way I would end up with a lot of activities. Is there a way that I can emulate this slide from the left effect?
