General :: Browser Sync Failing

As of about a week ago the browser sync on my device has been failing. I am running ICS via the latest CM9 nightly on my Samsung Galaxy S II (i9100T).
Chrome Beta bookmarks sync fine, it's only the builtin browser that is failing to sync. I would use Chrome Beta if I could but it's so damn crash-happy that it's unusable (I assume it's a CM compatibility problem that isn't resolved yet).Here is the relevant log entries from a failed browser sync attempt:

Basically it's just that over and over again. I've tried clearing the data in the browser app settings then resyncing, and I have also confirmed that on my PC my settings are set to encrypt passwords only (as a google search revealed some people had issues when encrypting everything).I'm a heavy user of my device and being unable to access my bookmarks is quite frustrating.

I keep receiving an error message from when it syncs by Google contacts. It fails after about 5 min. Mail and calendar are fine.

I have motorola defy running CM10, and I can sync chrome bookmarks using chrome for android. But the app is a bit laggy on defy, so I am using stock android browser and here is a method to sync bookmark between chrome browsers and android browser:

The root cause of problem is Google desktop browser supports encryption for all data types while Android browser supports only for passwords. If you have already encrypted entire data only thing you can do is clear all the data and start it again with only password encryption.
Here is how to do it and sync Chrome bookmarks with Android browser. Go to Google Dashboard confirming your password. Scroll down to section chrome sync and click on Stop sync and delete data from Google. This will delete entire synced browser data in Google account and it might take few minutes. Now open Google chrome, go to Settings. There you can find sign in section. Click sign in to chrome. Here you will have to generate Application specific password if you have enabled Two Step verification. Then it will take you to Confirm sync settings window. Click advance and make sure you have selected encrypt passwords only. If you encrypt all synced data android browser won't be able to work with them. Click OK to proceed with syncing. In your android Smartphone go to Settings -> Apps -> All -> browser and Clear data. Now go to Settings -> Accounts & sync. You will be able to see Sync browser is working fine now. Open the browser and go to Bookmarks. Now you can see all the Bookmarks that you have in desktop browser in your Android Smartphone browser as well.

So I've had this Samsung Note 8.0 for around 6 months now. Had been content with it, but after the first couple firmware update (including the most recent one to 4.2.2) my front camera always fails. My rear camera works fine but when I select the self portrait icon, it will show up 'Camera Failed' and closes down. It has happen too often now, have done everything recommended online.
Clear Cache, Force Stop, Clear RAM, Factory Reset (I've done this so many times now). I used to think it's a hardware problem but reading stuffs online they say it's a software problem. What should I do??

I installed CM11 on my sgh-t849 tablet.. it works but when i try to flash GApps Core 4.4.2 it fails and stop working.. can i just install the apk onto a external sd card and just install that way and it work fine or?

I have a SGS 3 and often use 2x client to RDP into my Windows PC. Everything worked great until I installed the free Windows 8 Enterprise 90 day evaluation on my PC. Now, the app will connect, and the PC thinks it is being accessed, but all I get is a blank screen on my phone.
I tried this with every other (free) RDP app out there and they all do the same thing.

My Galaxy S2 is currently running this firmware with Android 2.3.4:

I get told that there is an update waiting in OTA , so I let it download, reboots, starts to install, then fails, reboots, tells me to try via KIES or contact Samsung. But when I go into Kies... there is no button to let me update my firmware... it just tells me my current firmware version, nothing else like it usually would...
Not custom ROM, no root, battery 100%. Wifi/HSPA makes no difference..My friend has the same phone with the same firmware and it works fine with him?

I am about to build an app which needs to use device internal storage memory extensively, a lot of reads, writes and overwrites of the files.
I assume that most of the android devices use a kind of a flash memory, but where can I find more data on this topic for the most common memories used, like how many reads/writes can an internal flash endure before failing?

I have my Dolphin bookmarks set to sync with my Google account. When I tell it to sync, I don't receive any errors. It tells me downloading bookmarks / uploading bookmarks.
However, when I go to my Google bookmarks, I don't see anything. I am going here:

Is it still not possible to sync bookmarks from google chrome (pc) browser and another browser on the htc ?
I know it is possible to sync opera desktop version with mobile version but it does not open a few pages correctly on some of the sites i use and i am not too keen on the pc version of opera, its trying to do too much.
Surely i would have thought googles own browser should be able to sync with google mobile browser.

The H symbol is displayed at the top of the screen and the arrows occasionally flash. The 'up arrow' flashes more often than the 'down arrow'. I have at least 2-4 bars reception.
However when I try to browse there is a 'data connectivity problem' and websites will not load. None of my apps, gmail, facebook etc will sync.
I am on t-mobile.
Fixes I have tried:
- turn on/off
- APN settings check
- Airplane mode
Have spent hours looking at other 3g threads, but have not found an identical problem. My phone says im connected to 3g ('H'), but will not update email or let me access websites on the browser.

normally I have sync turned off to prolong battery life but it also removes the capability to see the desktop bookmarks while in Android's Chrome browser. I thought the bookmarks were stored locally and then synced back when sync turned on.
To see desktop bookmarks I have to flip the sync on do my thing and then flip it back off when I'm done browsing.

I'm trying to replace the Browser.apk with a different browser..I read up and people said just rename the new browser to browser.apk and replace it in system/app I removed the stock browser and replaced it and there's no force closes or anything just the new browser don't work..I tried replacing it with chrome btw

i had 2.1 rooted and now since having gotten 2.2 i decided i would root that also. however, i seem to be having problems with it.im using unrevoked, and i even downloaded the newest version of it, but it keeps failing to push the image it worked fine with 2.1, had the whole thing done in 10 mins, but this just does not seem to work. im following the instructions to a T.

I use Android 1.5 on HTC Hero. I've a mapapp that needs GPS functionality. Sometimes when I start up the application I get the following error.I check that "Enable GPS sateliites" setting is checked. One more piece of information. Whenever I get the error, I reinstall the application, it works ok. Google Maps works fine. What is wrong with my code?

I've been fighting this issue for the majority of the afternoon.My phone was 1-step rooted yesterday (about 4 hours after I got it from Fed Ex), but when I first had issues, I backed everything up with Titanium Backup, unrooted, and did a factory restore.The issue persisted, so I called Verizon, who pushed me over to Motorola. They don't seem to have any idea what the problem is, and unfortunately, no one around here has any in stock, so replacement isn't a viable option at the moment.So, I'm left with a couple questions:
1) Is anyone else having issues with this OTA update
2) While I didn't remove anything out of the ordinary (just what was recommended, things like the NFS, Amazon's MP3, etc.), and it appears everything has been brought back by the factory reset, could the fact it was rooted be stopping this?
3) Is there any way to manually load the update? I'm coming from a Blackberry Bold, where I was quite comfortable running leaked beta ROMs...I don't know of any way to do it any way other than OTA for this though.

I've taken some animation xml straight from the android docs, and as far as I can see, doesn't work on either my 2.1 update 1 emulator or my 2.1 update 1 Galaxy S device.Specifically, I'm trying to create an animation to pulsate a view (i.e. make it smaller then larger in one animation) What actually happens is it snaps instantly to half of the views size (even though fromX/YScale is at 1.0) and then performs the animation and snaps back afterwards.Can anyone else try this our quickly? If others see this behaviour I'll submit it as a bug. I just can't believe something so basic could be broken!? Also, copying this animation under the "Tween Animation" heading on this page http://developer.android.com/guide/topics/graphics/2d-graphics.html word for word also doesn't animate as per the page says.

something weird just started happening. my app has a broadcast receiver which may access the network when invoked. the code has been solid for ages, but in the last few days it has started getting DNS errors on perfectly fine hosts. these are hosts which can be reached without problems in the main app or from other apps.interestingly i've seen another app get DNS errors too another app with a broadcast receiver.seems to affect all OS versions -- we have 1.5, 1.6, and 2.01 here. i don't have a Nexus to test 2.1, though. are there caveats to doing network inside broadcast receivers? i didn't think so, as ours worked fine until the time change [fx: twilight zone theme]

im just trying to save some text to a file on android and while it works fine on the emulator "dont crash", when i try it on my phone it crashes, what am i doing wrong?i do know it crashes on " File root = Environment.getExternalStorageDirectory(); " i just dont know why. showMes() is just a function to make toast.

I have an app delivered OTA that I wrote that works find on every Android device we have ran it against. However, whenever tested against the Nexus One, it fails to load. LogCat reports something to the affect of.Now what is funny is that the manifest DOES include the android.permission.INTERNET. Yet for some reason, the Nexus One doesn't see or honor it.

I have an Orange branded Desire which I rooted a while ago. My problem is that the software update doesn't seem to work. My current software number is 1.12.405.4. If I check for updates it says there is 1.12.405.2 available, but when I download and install it the software version of the phone doesn't change. I've done it half a dozen times over a couple of weeks.

My desire is in a death loop whereby the phone is unusable. It's not rooted btw.When I start the phone I get a screen pop. The application HTC Sense (process com.htc.launcher) has stopped unexpectedly. Please try again.There is an option to force close, which when selected just brings the phone back around to the above screen pop.
