Nov 24, 2010I just found out about the Gameboid emulator and out of curiosity, I downloaded Pokemon Emerald. It runs great on my Droid X. Sound works perfectly, game runs at 100% of its normal speed.
I want to use cheats, though. It is my understanding that no one can figure out how to use the cheats feature correctly. Does it simply not work? I grabbed codes off of Gameshark's official website and they still don't have any affect on the game.
So what I decided to do was download VisualBoyAdvance for my PC, load the rom, use the cheats, make a save file and transfer it over to my droid. But I can't find any ROMs on the web to download for VBA that aren't corrupt. Somehow the ROM I have on my droid is fine; I downloaded it via DroidEmuRomGet. But if I try to grab the ROM off of my droid and transfer it over to my PC, I find that when I browse my droid using my PC, it doesn't show any of the files I can see using AndroZip... Even though the file extensions are the same.

Jul 31, 2010I know that Gameboid has an option for Cheats and a place to input them, but does anyone know how this works/what kind of cheats you can enter? I saw an older thread about moving the save to a computer and using VBA because there was no cheat option at the time. But now that there is, how does it work?

(yes ik you have to have and adapter for the wii and then the smaller memory card for the phone) But would I be able to play that game for NES (that i downloaded from the wii) on my HTC Hero?

Jul 1, 2010Browsing around the net at work today for Bluetooth Game Controllers, I came across a Mini Bluetooth Keyboard HERE - it's also selling on Ebay. It claims to be compatible with Android, but as we're all learning Android on one phone isn't the same as Android on another.
I'm wondering two things really: 1) Anyone know if it is actually compatible with Android and moreso if it's compatible with HTC Incredible
and 2) If it is compatible, once connected, can you use it in conjunction with Game Emulators (I have the popular one for GBA) so that I could use the buttons on there to play the games.
It's the perfect size for a game controller (too bad they don't also make one for that purpose) and would be much better than the touch screen controls which impede on the game.

Jul 10, 2010Seriously, emulation is not good for performance, but most roms running on gensoid look and play better that games developed for Android. Sonic 3 looks lovely, runs at 60fps and never stutters. It even seems to look higher rez than most Android apps.Android platformer games are nowhere near as good looking or smooth.So what the hell is going on? The hardware on top end Android phones (Desire, galaxy etc) is clearly capable.

Feb 15, 2010okay a have a general idea of how to use an emulator. i have a list of games at my disposal. so when i find the game i want, i save it to a destination on my computer, then i mount my sd card through my phone, throw the game onto the sd card (anywhere) via my computer. then no matter if i unmount or stay mounted, ill run the emulator on my mytouch, search for where i put the game. click on it, then it will take me to a blank screen as if it wants to load the game. and since i have the free versions of these emulators i also see the ads at the bottom, so i know it didnt crash. it just isnt loading

Nov 29, 2009The Game Boy Color was one of my favorite handheld game systems and my favorite video game ever, Super Mario Bros. Deluxe, was on this system. However, I was a bit surprised to see that there was only one GBC emulator on the Market, which was paid and didn't have good reviews. Does anyone know if there is a better GBC emulator being developed or if there is someone on this forum who loved the GBC, maybe you could make one(because I have no coding skills whatsoever)
