I have PSX4 Droid and it's great, but my question is how do you play .bin/Roms that are downloaded and include Disc 1 and Disc 2? I just downloaded Metal Gear Solid, but would like to know how to swap the discs to resume game play when I beat the first disc.

I just got a galaxy s4 today. The media controller on my galaxy gear was working fine before but now it isn't at all. Everything else is functioning except that. The devices are paired and I recently tried hard resetting the gear twice and no results.
Strangely enough, I've used my gear with 4.1.2 on my s3 and the media controller is the one thing that worked almost consistently.
Is the bezel around the screen metal or plastic? Will help me decide on if I put it in a case or not...
View 2 Replies View RelatedIt fell off the bumber, no insurance, it got rolled over a few times. It still works fine, but the screen is completely shattered. I got a new one off ebay, actually did good, kept looking and got a brand new one, with the front cover (didn't have to separate the LCD from the glass) for $79. When I was taking it apart, instead of peeling up the whole information sticker off of the EMI shield, I peeled the thin layer of plastic off of it. My question is, is the metal that the information label is stuck to the EMI shield by itself? I would think that it is, but I want to make sure that the sticker is not some type of special material that has something to do with electromagnetic interference, and that by not putting the sticker back on I am subjecting myself or someone else to EMI. I know it is a weird question, but I'm just curious, does anybody know the answer? Here is a link to the part I am talking about.

View 11 Replies View RelatedI'm not very familiar with the android SDK yet. I have an application (game), which is developed mainly using the NDK, and uses egl to render. i have an activity which handles the egl swapbuffer and runs the games native main loop, pretty straight forward I guess.
Now I have made another activity which host a TableLayout containing an EditText as well as a button (simply for text-input later used by the game). I spawn this activity from my main activity using startActivityForResult. The small problem I'm having now is that I can't manage to make this "popup" activity to have a background, so my paused game will reside in the background, with the various widgets just overlaid. This is not very pretty in my opinion, and I would like to at least have a solid background color for my spawned activity while it's active. I *could* just simply go into some state in the games main loop which clears the gl-screen just before I spawn the new activity. But I don't like this solution and it's a tad more work then I'm prepared to put in just at this time in the project. I'm pretty sure there is some simple way to just set a background color somehow, I just can't find *any* way to do it, I've looked around in the SDK resources and tried to search for any hints towards this, but i'm just not familiar enough with the java SDK to find what i'm looking for.
On a side note I would also like to be able to center the EditText widget as well as the button on the screen once the Activity is active, I haven't looked very deeply into it yet, but from a quick glance of the documentation I couldn't really find any suitable positioning methods in the tablelayout class. But as I said, haven't looked very hard. Can probably solve that one easy, but i'm just throwing this in as well :)
I simply can't find a solid RSS feed reader and widget (mostly the widget).I've tried NewsRoom, NewsRob, BlueRSS, DoggCatcher etc, and they all
1) are missing a widget,
2) are ugly,
3) are missing some basic functionality.
Can everyone please share what RSS feed reader app and widget they use?Preferably one that can sync with Google Reader but not necessarily,just an extra. I'm more interested in the widget, also.
Long story short: on my way to vegas my girlfriend was browsing the web on my droid x and the led turned a solid blue. The only app I have that turns the led blue is blink but I have it set to flash blue for incoming and missed calls, however, I didn't have any missed calls and there were no notifications in the tray.
View 2 Replies View RelatedI just downloaded the media hub update today and noticed that now when i get a text message my notification light stays solid instead of blinking...This is annoying because it could cause the battery to drain and it just looks weird...Is there any setting i can mess with, or has anyone else had this problem? I also notice that when i text i don't hear the typing anymore. It's just silent until i click send...Kind of weird...I'm thinking about uninstalling and re-installing handcent..

If, in the onCreate() of an Activity, I start an activity that uses the dialog theme it doesn't draw anything to screen... the whole screen stays black. All the views are there (e.g., I can tap where an EditText should be and it'll give me the keyboard), they're just not visible. code...
i recently got a kocaso m9100 and it was working just fine but i changed the brightness and now after it shows the android sign the screen goes solid black but i still here noises and all but the screen is solid black

However, the shadow is shown as solid gray.
What am I doing wrong?
I was downloading an update to a few apps when my phone suddenly froze totally. Can't turn it off or back on. Completely non responsive. This is my only phone so I am trying to find out how to do a hard reset or something similar.
View 4 Replies View RelatedI am in between phones right now, and no longer have a N1 and am looking to replace it with another Android phone without switching carriers from AT&T.They currently have the HTC Aria(I have no interest in), the Samsung Captivate(Galaxy S), and will soon be getting the X10.This phone has been out for some time in EU/Asia and Canada for a bit, and I am fairly familiar with it. It seems the bad points are no multi-touch ever, Android 1.6 with a who knows for sure on Android 2.x, but the rest seems fairly solid. Most of the reviews are from when it first came out, and generally complain about the GUI being slow.My questions are basically:
1. Is the phone solid hardware wise, with build quality etc? I know it's mostly plastic, but does it feel cheap, hold up well?
2. Has Android 1.6 caused you any problems app wise? I'm fairly certain google navigation works on 1.6, which is a deal breaker for me if it doesn't.
3. How is the GUI, do you enjoy it? I can't stand Samsung's TouchWiz, Moto Blur, and prefer stock Android, but don't mind HTC Sense.
4. I keep reading something about the screen doesn't have all it's colors activated or something? Others say it is amazing. Curious if it is the Super LCD Sony is selling HTC to replace AMOLED.
I know the Galaxy S has a better CPU, GPU(Android isn't much for gaming anyways), more ram, Super AMOLED, blah, blah but their software is terrible and I don't like their form factor.
Right now I have 2 activities (A+B) and what I would like is for only 1 of them ever to be on the stack (If A shows B, I want the back button from B to go to the home screen not A). Is their a good way of doing this with activities Or should I change my app to be a bunch of views?

I rooted My My micromax A87 with XDA and I was Succeeded in It, and then I Partitioned my SD Card into three,(FAT-32 + EXT 3 + Linux Swap) with Parition Mini Tool.then I Installed Link2SD and Swapper 2 its all fine but microsd is too slow to Link and Swap because its (Class 4).but it run the temple run and some HD Games with Small Lag.
So I Experimented with other swap tools like "MemoryInfo & Swapfile Check and ROEHSOFT RAM-EXPANDER (SWAP)"and then Uninstalled these. but there is the problem starts. Now in my A87 it shows a swap cache always on. I opened adb shell and look for free.
I wonder that there is a swap file generated around 50 MB but I cant see it in my External SD or Internal Memory.So I Removed my SD Card and then check again, Still I see the same swap value 50 MB.
My Internal memory has no change in the value (available space not reduced) it looks like the same value before I Install the MemoryInfo & Swapfile Check + ROEHSOFT RAM-EXPANDER (SWAP).
Brand new to android, and loving it. But with the release of the Audible app and various music files, I'm going to fill my little 2GB card soon.
How would I go about switching to a larger capacity card? I'm not worried about data files, I know I can copy all of that stuff off the card, but what about any apps or app settings that might be stored on the card? If I simply copy the entire contents of the card to a new one, will everything "work" when I start the phone up? I confess I don't really know much about the android guts, but I'm willing to learn!

View 3 Replies View RelatedIs it possible to load my main.xml layout file in onCreate() and then later in the app, switch to a new XML layout? I've tried placing setContentView() later on in the app but that seems to not actually set the new View because my references to objects in the newly set xml layout file are returning as null. I've tried doing some layout inflating using the LayoutInflater but I'm having no luck (I'm probably doing something wrong)... So is there any other way to swap layout xml layouts at runtime?
