The sales data are estimates, and we'd like feedback from developers on accuracy via our methodology.If you do have an app on the Android market place, we'd love to see how your stats compare to what we have in our data base - from what we've seen, most of our stats are within +/- 10% of actuals, but we're always looking for feedback!

Nov 20, 2009I've a couple functions that basically parse XML but it's not XML it is parsing something similar. I use them in PHP to break apart large strings so I converted them to Java for this, but when I use them they force close. I use this code to call them....

That's the gist of it. I know the string "str" is good, checked it, but if I run these lines I get a force close, if I comment them out I do not. The methods are below. See anything wrong?

Aug 9, 2010I updated to 2.2 with fresh 3. "whatever" now my market will not open and the people app keeps force closing, if anyone could offer any fixes it would be greatly appreciated. i did do a wipe cache and divche cache or whatever that spelling is. i did not do a factory reset as i thought i might lose my root that way, was i supposed to do that wipe also. is there a 3rd party app that could be conflicting. my apologies if this question has already been posted, ive searched this forum and xda and the net to no avail on fixing this specific problem on my evo.

General :: Play Store Not Working / Force Closes?
Nov 26, 2013A friend of mine has a Galaxy SII (Tmobile version) and her play store force closes. In an attempt to solve this issue, she has cleared data and cache from google play services, as well as google play store. I also advised her to delete her google account from her device, then sign back in. Neither of those worked. Also, download manager is enabled.

Aug 5, 2010For some weird reason my phonebook stopped working today. When I clicked on the name, instead of loading up the contacts details, it just froze. When I help the name for a while, a menu would pop up and as soon as I entered view contact details, it forced closed. I deleted the app, in the hopes that I could re-install it from Titanium, but that didn't happen. I've checked the market but cant seem to find it. I don't have to go through the entire root procedure again?

Dec 16, 2009I have taken videos with the Droid in the past, but the past few days, as soon as i toggle the camera switch UP to capture a video, it gives me a force close screen. i have restarted the phone a few times, but same thing..
also, sometimes the camera button does nothing when trying to use it to bring up camera , i have to manually go to drop down list of apps to get to it. not a HUGE problem, but still a problem when it doesn't do what its made to do.
HTC Incredible : Convincing Vzw Online Sales - Store To Extend Expiration Date Of Credit?
Apr 20, 2010I received a letter from Verizon a month ago offering me an extra $50 credit for my NE2 upgrade to make a total of $150 - the catch was the offer expired April 15. Right then I knew the Incredible would be released after 4/15!
My question is - is there any hope of convincing vzw online sales or a store to extend the expiration date of the credit? I asked one online sales person and they said "no we can't do that for an online sale, but call a store, and they might be able to". So I called a store and they said "no when it comes in we won't be able to do that, but maybe online sales can". So is this a futile attempt? Should I wait until they are in stores on 4/29 and go in and talk to a manager? Or give up and pre-order now?

Jul 30, 2010I'm curious to see how these are selling. I have this feeling they are not selling very well do in no small way to T-Mobile's complete lack of interest in marketing this phone. On launch day for instance at my T-Mobile store they made no mention of the Vibrant AT ALL. No displays, posters, floor model unit to play with, nothing. I see ads on tv constantly for the Evo and even the obscure Garmin phone that 3 people bought. I've never seen an ad anywhere for the Vibrant though.

Google maps says 'no network connection'
Play store says 'server error'
Gmail says 'waiting for sync, your emails will appear shorly'
Sounds like my internet is broken? ITS NOT. whatsapp and opera mini, web browser is still working 100% and able to connect
I have tried:
turning sync of and on
clear the cache of various google apps
turning the phone off and on
The last action I did before it worked was to uninstall the 'microsoft outlook app'.

If I go into Settings/applications/ manage applications and select a launcher (that has widgets) and use the force stop option on the launcher, will the widgets set up with that launcher continue to run? I think the problem is that 3G is not as strong here, but I have a good WiFi network. Is it possible to have the phone use WiFi as the first option so I will keep the connection even if 3G is weak?
