Today I tried to install my app with the the apk created with the 1.5 sdk and I keep getting "install unsuccessful."It worked fine under the 1.1 sdk.The only thing I can think would cause a problem is the new "minsdkversion" which I have tried values 1 and 2 (my g1 has US rc33).The 1.5 sdk emulator has no problem installing my app.

View 2 Replies View RelatedI have a problem with installing an apk (which includes jni libs) on the simulator. The apk is built successfully, but running as Android Application from within eclipse and executing adb install -r path/to/ apk runs also successful, but the app doesn't show up on the app- screen in the simulator. The following is the logcat during the install of the app. I don't see much evidence that there is something wrong with the apk, so I don't know whats going on there. Can someone help me with this? Are there more debugging options for adb install?

Now, I am trying to install application on actual device.I don't have the Android device. So, I am going by OTA way.For this, I have generated the self sign keystore using keytool utility.And, using Eclipse's "Eclipse Signed Application package.." option I have generated the signed .apk file and moved it to my web server.Also, i added MIME type on web server for .apk.But, when I am trying to download and install the same application on device, application get downloaded and it also prompts for permission. After thag when I click on "Install", it fails with error Application Install Un-succefull.
I purchased Beautiful Widgets on the market but it keeps saying download unsuccessful. My network is working fine. I can download other apps just fine. Is this a problem with the market or what?
View 6 Replies View RelatedNexus 1, although seen many phones have this same issue also 32gig micro sd. Updates just dont happen like they should on automatic updates. The update progress bar just sits there and notice comes up "update unsuccessful" looked everywhere but this seemed to work fine.
1. Unmount SD
2. Go back to each download (market download)
3. Cancel download
4. Then it takes you to app. push install
5. Download restarts and installs fine
6. Then go back and remount SD under phone settings
7. Then go to phone settings, applications, manage apps,
8. Pick the apps you just installed and move them to the sd card if possible.
I have published my app on Android Market. I have successfully downloaded and installed the app from Market on my Moto Droid 10 days ago. My beta tester #1 successfully downloaded and installed the app from Market on his Samsung Galaxy 8 days ago. My beta tester #2 gets "download unsuccessful" when she tries to dowload app from Market on her Motorola Droid X at 2010-10-28 4pm Central Std time USA (10pm GMT). She tried several times over a 30 minute period. When I uninstalled and tried to download my app during this same time period, it took longer than I expected, then finished and said Google Maps had "successfully updated". No mention that my app did or did not install. My app is not installed on my phone now.
Developer's Console shows no problem, 20 downloads, 4 active, no errors, no comments. (This app is industry specific and not workable without subscription to a website, etc.)
Does Market work perfectly everytime? Does it have good times and bad times? If you think it may be my app that is the problem, what / where should I look for as the problem?
I wiped out my phone and re rooted it, and when downloading all my apps two of them wont download and/or install rather I get this "install Unsuccessful" then I reboot my phone and got this now about 20 times "Download Unsuccessful" one app I dont care but its doing this to my app I bought called

View 2 Replies View RelatedOur customers are seeing these errors a lot when purchasing our apps, and other than suggesting a few workarounds(unmount sd card etc), I'm not sure theres anything i can do to fix the issue. Is anyone aware of anything that might be causing it from the app developer side? Obviously our app uploaded fine, and the majority of users can download and install it just fine, but we're seeing this problem a lot and losing a lot of sales because of it. If theres something that we're somehow getting wrong in our app, i'd love to be able to fix it! It seems to be related to Android 2.2 and installing to the sd card Any ideas?

View 3 Replies View RelatedI published my app on the market, and when I first tried installing it from there, I got the 'package file was not signed correctly' error. Uninstalling the unsigned version I was testing with let me install from the market with no problems. However, from the comments, it looks like no one else can install my application.
I've put other versions up that worked, and I used the same certificate, so I'm pretty sure it is not an issue with the validity days for the certificate.
The name of my application is Bloxors. It will be going up and down as I try to figure out what the issue is here, but if someone else who is getting the error can debug it it would be greatly appreciated.

So over the past few days the apps ive tried to download dont even start to download, I then turn my phone off and back on again and they start to download, then start to install, but just as i think its done i get a notification saying ''Installation unsuccessful''.

No biggy because I still could play the games. But now I go to install Angry Birds, I can't play it because it fails. Its just really starting to annoy me. My brother girlfriend has an Inc and she installed Angry Birds just fine.Is anyone else having this problem? Should I just take it to Verizon so see how far that gets me?

I've tried downloading a few apps from the market and they seem to download fine but when they start to install it fails every single time. I've tried clearing the cache of the market then force closeing and rebooting phone and I read that launching google talk could help that hasnt either. The apps in particular are "Angry Birds" and "Baseball Superstarts 2010" both are the full versions. I want to get Angry Birds before it isnt free anymore. Also I am rooted on Clockwork Rom with KingxKernal BFS. And all other apps and updates download and install fine which is really odd.

This problem started after I tried to connect to a open network (may be). Before that it was working fine with my home network without providing the static IP in advance Wifi-settings.

It appears that it only wants to download some applications with most kicking back a "Download Unsuccessful" including some that I have purchased before.
I am running 2.1 -update 1 right out of the box software number 1.19.161.5
I've tried a factory reset with still no avail.
I'm trying to download it using my wireless router which I'm sitting right beside so signal is no problem.
Running into an issue with one of our corporate HTC Incredibles.
We have other Incredibles without issue so I am thinking this one is defective as I just picked it up yesterday.
When I go to the market to update or install a new app, the download animation shows on the taskbar for a moment then goes away. When I go into the market to check on the downloads, the apps show a black status bar and will not download.
I've rebooted, hard-booted, canceled downloads and tried re-installing the apps. All with the same results. Every app I try to install and every app I try to update (google maps for example) will start then immediately say "Download Unsuccessful"
I wiped my phone and flashed the latest cm nightly for my N1. I started reinstalling some apps that I had already paid for. Some worked, but other paid apps did not install. I received the 'installation unsuccessful' error message after the app was downloaded from the market. Swiftkey, ProcessManager Full, 360 Live, Rom manager premium, and iSyncr all failed to install properly. I have tried clearing the market cache and rebooting but the error persists. What could be the problem? Do I need to remove 4.1.1 first? I don't undertstand why I would as all other updates automatically replace the old/existing file. I emailed the developer, but no response has been received. Suggestions/fixes are welcome.And I'm still suffering from disappearing text conversations with stock messenging.
