View 2 RepliesWhen I am on my home screen and try to use the volume rocker to increase or decrease the ringer volume the screen shows ringer volume going up then if i press it again the media volume comes up. It seems to alternate between the two when I am trying to change the volume. Is this normal or is there an option I need to have checked that I have missed? Is it because there is a media program running in the background that I do not know about?
View 1 Replies View RelatedSometimes I have a button in my UI that it is so small that it is difficult to click. My solution so far has been to add a transparent border around the button in photoshop. Just increasing the padding on the button does not work, since this will also stretch the image. Since it is kind of a fuss to open photoshop each time I want to change the clickable surface, is there any way to do this programmatically? I have tried placing a framelayout behind the button and make it clickable, but then the button wont change appearance on touch as it should. Ofcourse I could also add a ontouchlistener on the framelayout which changes the buttons appearance, but then it quite some code if I have several of those buttons.

View 1 Replies View RelatedSince two weeks, I am the happy owner of a HTC Desire. Great phone and I love Android! One issue though...
The microphone volume of my Bluetooth headset is on the low side. It's the same headset I used with my previous Windows Mobile phone and in that configuration I had no problems. I paired a different Bluetooth headset with the Desire, but no luck... the volume is still to low. The volume of the build-in mic is ok.
Does anybody know what I can do to increase the mic volume? Settings? App?

View 3 Replies View RelatedFirst of all, I love my incredible, but I'm afraid my in-call volume is very low. I've turned the rocker all the way up, and it's still very low. Speaker works great on the other hand. Anyone else having these issues, or maybe mine's just low?
View 23 Replies View RelatedIs there an app for increasing the ringer/alert volume on the HTC Incredible? The original Motorola Droid had plenty of volume, but the phone sucked. Now we have the Incredible that works great, but only if you hear the ringer.Has there been any discussion about an update, because I haven't seen anything? I did see discussion though about the Motorola Droid X.
View 3 Replies View RelatedOK...everyone thought that a louder speakerphone/ringer volume fix would be in for Froyo 2.2 when the OTA came out, and that was the only reason I installed it in the first place. But...I'm finding that this same problem is the affliction of any ROM I install. I'm wondering if it's the software or my phone, because many users report high volumes despite my problem. My OG Droid was at least twice as loud as my X. So...my question is, is there any sort of way to increase volume for this phone?

How can I increase the volume at kernel level? If that's not possible then rom level would be enough. No apps, just pure source changes.
I had an original Droid before getting my Droid X. I am using the exact same custom ringtones I made for my Droid on my Droid X and my Droid X is much, much lower on ringer volume, even at max setting. Due to this, I am missing tons of text messages and a bunch of phone calls when I am in a place that has even slight noise. On my Droid, I could hear my ringer even in the noisiest of places. I can't hardly hear my Droid X in the quiet places. Are there any tips, tricks, or hacks that can increase the overall volume on the X?
View 9 Replies View RelatedJust bought the x10i and loving it, got a few problems but which phone on the market is 100% perfect. I do however have an issue with the low in-call volume and ringer volume. Its very low and struggling to hear the other party, I see from other threads this isn't an isolated issue. Will SE be sending out an update to solve this problem? It seems like a batch issue as not everyone is experiencing this fault.
View 2 Replies View RelatedStill debating on which phone to buy. With the droid x the major concern is soft volume (some phones seem softer than others); rumors of over heating and wifi issues.
Is there a known hack to fix the volume issue; or has Motorola ack the issue and have publically indicated a fix is in the works? Next weekend is no-tax weekend (in Ma) so I might try to pick a phone up then...
I'm pretty sure the wifi issue is a firmware problem (shame on moto for using an encrypted boot loader and having bugs like this one); not sure if overheating is limited to a few phones or is a design issue.
Anyways please add comments (negative and positive) relative to alternatives (samsung s and evo are major contenders). With the samsung the major negative is it pauses now and then and also have soft volume (there is a fix for the gps issue); for evo the major negative is +$10 and poor battery life (this phone is nice and loud) also the display is a bit dimmer than the droid x (an issue for outdoor usage).
I was wondering, is there a way to further increase the volume after rooting the X10? My volume is way to low even when I set it to the highest setting, but the volume is louder in the test menu.
