I dont know if i'm just plain dumb or what, but I set up the HTC People widget on my phone. Once you select a person to be a shortcut, I cant edit or delete them? I deleted the widget and tried starting fresh, but it remembered the first three I put in to begin with. Anyone know how to edit these, or even just wipe it clean, I wont screw it up next time lol. Any and all help would be amazing.

View 2 Replies View RelatedBeen having some weird MMS related problems in the last couple of days. To try to resolve them i've been trying to edit the APN settings, however, i've got 4(!) APN setttings on my phone which are locked, can't be edited or deleted. I'm sure i could edit them at some point in the past, but now all of them have little padlock icons next to them.
Phone was purchased unlocked but pre-configured for vodafone uk. Am i missing something obvious or has my brain gone wrong?
My weather location indicates some county that is not even in my state. I have added a second location that is my location, but as "#2" it isn't the one that shows on my main screen. I can see a button to "rearrange", but it is grayed out. When I hit the delete button, my only option to delete is the #2 location that I added. How can I edit or delete the #1 location?

Aparently I have a 'me' in my contacts I guess is shown to other android users in addition to what they have my # saved as. I aparently entered jumbled letters for this and can't delete or edit it. I also have a few other contacts I made while tinkering that don't have phone numbers. There seems to be no way to delete or edit the 'me' or the contacts with no #s or even the contacts with #s. Except for adding a photo.
I tried everything I could think of, pressing and holding down the names and everything and sliding, etc etc in the 'people' app and when pressing the phone icon which bring up different screens. The names in my 'people' that don't have a # saved don't show up when I click the phone icon to dial, but that's besides the point.
Probably an obvious way of doing this, but I can't for the life of me find a way to edit/delete my contact card on the phone. Neither clicking or long pressing on it yields an edit button. Is it buried in a menu somewhere?

Sometimes editing a recurring event shows "Change only this event", "Change all events in the series" and "Change this and all future events" options, but other times the only options are "Change all events in the series" and "Change this and all future events". Does anyone know what you have to do to get the "Change only this event" option when editing a recurring event?

Anybody else notice that the SD cards are write protected? If I take out my card and put it in a card reader on my laptop, I can add stuff to the card, but I can't delete anything. If I put it back in the phone and mount the sd card, I can edit the card how I want. weird?

It starts something like: public class Amount Field extends Edit Text and has over riden the constructor to implement the Edit Text widget style However when I implement this on my XML I get an editable Text View instead of the Edit Text (there is only text but not the surrounding white box) and also when I click on it nothing happens, only text color changes. I connect to my works Exchange server using EAS (I think, it was the default) and it syncs with my mail automagically as stuff comes in. I'd really like to find a way to automatically delete stuff on the Hero as I delete stuff on the exchange server. Is there a way to do this without involving another program?

Unfortunately, you can only do that saved search OVER AGAIN, with no changes! So, if I typed in "Univeral enormous elephanr keyboard" only to have it fail because I mis-typed "elephant", my only option now is to enter the whole thing again.
Wanted: When you tap and hold an item from search (or dialing) history, you get 3 choices:
1. Use again. (Does the current default action)
2. EDIT Pops the text back into the entry line, so you can edit it.
3. Delete. (So you can delete entries without clearing them all.)
I know where to go to view them, but how can you change them?

Im missing one thing thought that i REALLY NEED, to be able to edit an exel doc on the phone! I see that Documents to go is the only app that has this ability at the moment, however In canada the app store doesnt support paid apps, so i cant download it. I looked at the data wiz website and the only way to get is though the app store. When I chose to get a picture to edit, it asked me what size I wanted for it. I chose maximum size and chose the option to always pick that size. I normally take pics in 8 megs, will a photo edited by Picsay be lower in quality than the original, or just about the same? Also, is there any way I can default the app to just ask me what size I want to edit pics in? (Rather than maximum size being the default)

I tried to recover the Button object and set the layout to wrap_content. But when I try to use getButton function, it returns me null.
