General :: HTC Desire - Root And Flash With ROM From Alex V V2.3.3 With 2.6.35.8 Kernel
Feb 5, 2012I have a problem with bluetooth connections:
I'm using a HTC Desire, rooted and flashed with a ROM from Alex-V Android Version 2.3.3 with the 2.6.35.8 Kernel.
I have two bluetooth devices:
MM100 Stereo Headset from Sennheiser
BT-Version: 2.0 + EDR
Protocolls: HSP, HFP, A2ADP, AVRCP
and the Hands free car kit Parrot MK6000 BT-Version: 1.2 Protocolls: HSP, HFP, AADP, AVRCP
I can pair both devices with my Desire and the latest paired device would connect automatically to audiosystem for media and telefone when switched on. The problem is, that the first paired device would not connect automatically to my desire and when it is connected manually it would only connect to the audiosystem for media not telefone. I can't force it to connect with audiosystem for telefone. I checked and un-checked the check-boxes for both connections in every combination
Remark: I don't want to connect both devices at the same time. I know that this is not working
With the original HTC Rom I doesn't had this problem. Both devices would pair and connect perfect.

Jun 21, 2010All I'm looking for is a widget that looks like the clock that comes standard on the sense UI, but without the weather info. Anything like that out there? Date and Location i'd still like to have, the large time still there, but no weather information.

Apr 6, 2010I'm looking for a small world clock digital clock widget that I can put on my home screen that would take 1-2 icon slots. In particular, it needs to be a world clock (ie: not the normal time on your phone, configurable to some other time), it needs to be a digital clock, and it would help if it supported military time format. I'd also like it to be smallish, in that it takes no more than 2 icon slots on my screen. I have a Milestone and for some ungodly reason we have all this empty space around icons in a 4x4 screen. Any help would be appreciated. The world clock on my phone is a regular dial-style analog clock, looks like it takes 2x2 icon slots, and is difficult to read. Plus, being analog, there's no way to tell AM/PM.

Jul 3, 2010I have finally - after days and days of agony - figured out that I need two forms of encryption for my Digital Signatures Project. The first will will be symmetric (AES) and will encrypt the license data and the second will be a asymmetric (RSA) an will encrypt the symmetric key. Can someone give me pointers on the best methods to use for Android.
For the public/private keys I am using: "RSA/ECB/PKCS1Padding"(I head ECB is bad so what should I use?, what about the PKCS1Padding - shoudl I be using PKCS5Padding?)
For the symetric keys I will probably use: "AES/?/?" (What mode and padding should I use?)
The provider: "BC"
RSA Keysize: 1024 (I tried 2048 but it didn't work for some reason)
AES Keysize: ?

I'm going to be traveling this week and wanted to put some movies on it. I have a bunch of Blu-Ray movies that come with free digital downloads. I downloaded a few movies in both formats that are available, mp4 and wma. Neither format will play on the droid, I tried viewing in both the gallery and some video playback apps.

Well, I'm a MAC guy and I downloaded them in iTunes which was perfect having an iPhone. But now with getting my EVO is there a way to get those Downloads to work on the EVO? Apr 26, 2010just ordered the Incredible and have been checking out the forum. I already feel right at home here. I do have a question regarding the FM radio capabilities of the phone. Here in Utah, the local NPR station has gone through the whole HD radio upgrade and apparently with an HD radio I could listen to three different channels while tuned into 90.1. Dec 15, 2009I have had the Hero since it came out, and I am actaully liking it more and more. Android is awesome, and HTC Sense is really cool. My only problem is The digital HTC clock (the white one) that looks like the old fashoined clock with weather under it is extremely laggy. For example I will turn my phone on (awake it) unlock the phone and in the upper right of the phone the time will be correct, say 4:55, then the big HTC clock will say 4:37 (usually the time is the last time since the phone was on) after 2-3 seconds it will adjust to the right time, it happens very often and happens whenever the phone goes from minute to minute. (5:15 in upper right, 5:14 on HTC clock) I have read threads about the clock being an hour off but mine is the right time and hours it is just laggy. Also it is not rooted, and when sprint sent the over the air update I downloaded that and it is still laggy and was before that. Is anyone else having this problem? turning it on and off does nothing at all, and I had to do a hard reset about 3 weeks ago and that didnt't help either.
