Why is the accessibility menu in settings on my phone empty and disabled
shouldn't there be somethings to be changed alike text size or something?

I'm trying to make my first widget that toggles the screen time out settings. Is there a way for the widget to be notified when Settings.System.SCREEN_OFF_TIMEOUT has been changed? I would like to know this so I can update the widget graphic accordingly.

I've been playing around with a few different ROMs to find the one that's the most stable for me, but something weird has happened. Most of the ROMs I like the best have the vanilla dialer which I love but the look of the dialer has changed and I'm not sure why.
At one point the dialer had the END, SPKR, MUTE etc., on the call screen so if you pulled the phone away from your ear you could see those buttons. Now when I'm on a call I have a little tab that I have to pull up to access the number pad and I have to hit MENU to bring up the END, SPKR and MUTE settings. I really want to go back to the way it was before. This has happened on several ROMs.
I was playing around with my settings and changed my smsc number. Now I cant send texts! Is there a way to find out what my original number was, a way to reset it, or a way for me to send text again?

In that i applied font color,font names,font size options for user.But these options will apply for whole text available in edit text. For some reason the empty view (TextView in this case) always appears, even when the List is not empty. I thought the ListView would automatically detect when to show the empty view.How can I hook up the empty view properly?

This is similar although not identical to some other threads.I bought a cheap (Nokia) USB cable to use at work. It seemed not to be charging the phone very quickly. Today I did some tests. It does charge the phone from my work PC but not nearly as fast as the HTC supplied cable.Generally, if I leave the phone plugged in but do some browsing on and off during the day, at the end of the day the phone is pretty much where it was, battery-wise, at the start.With the HTC cable, it charges pretty quickly (i.e a couple of hours).The data transfer rate is the same with both cables.Is there a sure way of knowing what cable to buy to get the same performance? View 49 Replies View RelatedSoince the 2.1 upgrade on my Orange Hero I get not only an anonymous empty text message which I can't get rid of but also every time I get a misssed call, the Notification can't be permanently deleted. Every time my phone is switched off and back on they re-appear. I now have 6 missed calls shown when I switch back on.

It also shows as being saved to the sim card, which is weird coz the others arent! anyone ever received anything like this too? I didn't get this on my old Sony Ericsson w995 which used the same Sim and plan that i am on now.

View 1 Replies View RelatedThis is my first post. I've had a Moto Droid since day one, and I just love it. It is without a doubt better than any phone that I've had over the years, and that includes the iPhone, BB, etc.
However, there are 2 things that I don't understand - Font size and a spell checker. It is imposiible to read the small font size in emails or text messages.
1. Why has there not been an app to either change the font size or be able to zoom in? Picasy has incorporated multi-touch for zooming, so I've to assume that its doable! Why not have the same in an email client.
2. Why is there not an email client out there that allows for spell checking? There are many such apps for the BB! I am a terrible speller.
I am not complaining, I just want to understand the limitations from a developers prospective, as I am sure these isuues will eventually be addressed.
i tried one of those xperia roms, but i've changed back to cm7 for my Desire. One thing that i noticed is that the xperia roms probably have the coolest weather widget i've seen to date.But i have not been able to find any universal weather widget that comes close to the simplicity and coolness of the xperia weather widget.
Firstly, the widget is very simple and mimialistic, doesn't contain a clock which is perfect, as there already is a clock in the statusbar, don't really need a second clock to verify the first one is correct.
The widget is animated, which means the weather in the widget is moving, but only on the widget and not the whole screen, so it's not interfering with UI usage.When you click it, it does an animated unfold into this. Showing a clean and simple forecast.Click it again and it'll take you to accuweather showing an hour for hour forecast. Clicking outside the widget folds the widget back into it's starting position.
Now you know what the widget is and is able to do. I am trying to get this, or something like this which works outside the xperia launcher.I have tried a lot of different widgets, but nothing compares to the simplcity, design and ease of use.
I did attempt to use the search feature here but didnt come up with the results I was looking for (or maybe I used it wrong?) I ask the following questions because unfortunately, I dont have good eyesight.
1. Regarding font size. I realize there is no current setting for font size on this phone (that I know of) does anyone here know if the upcoming 2.1 update will include that?
2. I know there is a text size option for the browser. However, it doesent seem to work on most websites I go to (like CNN for example) I try setting it at different sizes and nada. So far my browsing experience hasent been that good because of this (having to constantly strain my eyes looking at website text) Any tips on why the text size option doesent seem to work?
3. is there anyway to increase the text size of emails and text messages?
Can the sms text or background color be changed or enlarged.
