I just saw twidroid on their website and twitter post that their new version of twidroid for droid comes out the 19th which is in 2 days but right now is in beta...does thta mean we can somehow download the beta and see how it is...if so where i dont see it on the app store.

I just got my Samsung Galaxy S delivered and I've installed a few apps and they're working nicely but the ones that dont seem to work for me are the Twitter ones, I can log on to the site just fine on pc and through the mobile browser but the apps arent working, I first tried Twidroid, it doesnt authenticate my login details and says I put them in wrong, the same goes for Twitter's official app, anybody able to help me?
View 4 Replies View RelatedI've used Twidroid Pro for about a month now, but I've never tried the built in search feature up until today. I can search for "Tweets" without a problem, but when I search for "Users" I get a Twidroid Error: Connection Failed every time. Has anyone else been getting this error? Any ideas on how to fix it? I would send a report to Twidroid but I can't figure out how to contact them from their site.
View 2 Replies View RelatedAny other Tweeters gettin tired of Twidroid? The dev had it perfect, in my opinion, about a month or two ago.
Since then, there's been this odd bug where sometimes you can't update, in fact, MOST of the time you can't update normally. You have to uninstall it first and then install the new version. And their solution is just to "suggest" this in the description.
Last week they had two updates and I had to install them 3-4 times each before they would work. I'd install, have it running and get told "there's a new update!" which is actually just the same update. Now when you tap exit it asks you "do you want to clear your username, password, and cache now?" If you press "no" it doesn't exit.
Unistalling/reinstalling wouldn't be such a huge deal except you have to re-enable it, re-enter your login info, and do all your settings over. By default it saves the cache to the phone, so you have to switch it to the SD card. By default it's going to check every 5 minutes and drain your battery, by default it doesn't show full messages in the notification shade, etc, etc...
It's a shame, as it worked perfectly with statusinator (for facebook). So, I could update my facebook status in statusinator and have automatically ask me if I wanted it copied to twitter, too.
But since statusinator doesn't work with cupcake, and appears to have been abandoned by the dev some time ago, I'm looking for a new twitter client.
I'm not going to pay for a client. I find it ridiculous for someone to expect me to pay for an app that runs a free service. That's like paying someone to turn on my television and change the channels.
I'm trying BuddyMob and twittered and they're both "okay" so far. Anything that's awesome, does notifications, and has a connection for facebook status updates?
What are everyone's opinions on these two programs? Some of the Hero users have reported that after shutting down Peep, their phones have been much more responsive. Here's a link to the thread: Do not use peep!
I haven't had any issues with Peep, but was wondering if any of you had. I've been using Peep ever since I got my Eris and don't have any major complaints. I can't seem to search for users or view trending topics, but that's not a major concern for me.
How many of you have been using Twidroid? It seems to be the Twitter client of choice based on some of the posts I've read. I just hate to take up memory by having redundant apps on my phone.

Right now I am changing the package name in eclipse and changing the code manually, but this seems really inefficient. I was going to use some sort of film protector, such as Zagg invisible shield and a Flip Case. But the only flip case I can find for the Galaxy S looks horrid, and I am not sure on the texture of Zagg Invisible Shields.I have also considered silicone gel cases, but I am having trouble finding one that is nice, and pouches in combo with a screen protector.What would you use and if I did buy a screen protector, which brand should it be, I want one that will protect but with minimum difference to the feel or colour of the screen.

In addition, ideally, there would be many tutorials for that version, so I can learn quickly.I see multiple versions of photoshop; is there a minimum version anyone can recommend which will provide suitable functionality to make basic icons etc?
