Android :: Stability Of Panda Home With 2.0?

Nov 11, 2009

Anyone have any news or info on when Panda home will be stable for the android 2.0? I've been using 1.61 for the past two days, and I absolutely love it. But I have to keep reloading themes every 5 minutes. It has some major stability issues for me. Now that I've used it, I absolutely hate the default home.

Android :: Install Other Themes Using Panda Home?

Oct 26, 2009

I have installed and used Panda Home for awhile now. I have heard that you can use other home replacement apps (OpenHome and aHome) themes with Panda Home. I have downloaded a few Home themes and moved the zip file onto my sdcard. Panda Home doesnt seem to recognize them or have the ability to open them. How do I install other themes using Panda Home?

Android :: Panda Home Won't Change Icons

Mar 1, 2010

I was directed here by a VZW rep (he said this was the best place to go to get android help). I was wondering if anyone with knowledge of panda home could help me out with switching application icons on the home screen. I try to change it through the standard methods and I'm using a .png file, which I thought was the required filetype, but I get a message that says "applying..." but nothing happens. I was wondering if anyone else had any ideas. I've heard of an app called bettercut, but it seems silly to pay for an app when in theory, I already have the needed feature installed. Also, if anyone knows of where one could find a good picture for a messaging icon (to replace hand set)

Android :: Panda Home Not Working - Getting Scrambled Screen?

I'm getting tired of Open Home's constant force closes. Would love if Panda Home would worked, but even with the new version I'm still getting the screwy scrambled screen for icons / if you change the wallpaper. Is this just my phone or are other people also still have trouble with Panda Home?

HTC EVO 4G :: Flip Between Panda Home And Sense?

Sep 27, 2010

I downloaded Panda so the I can use a theme it works with. It works fine and I am always giving a chance to use Panda or HTC Sense when I hit the home key. This is a pain so I opted to use the HTC Sense as default. But I can't see where it allows me to use the Panda again. I can't figure out how to get those 2 choices back. Except for deleting Panda and reinstalling it. Am I missing something? And is there a way to flip between the choices another way?

General :: Samsung Galaxy S3 And Stability Of Android 4.0.4 ICS

Jun 17, 2012

At the moment i own an apple iphone 4 jailbroken, and i had some issues with the device's hardware since 2 years ago, so im thinking of selling it and get a new phone, BUT i DONT want to go at apple again, so 4S is not an option for me.

i searched a bit and im interested into Samsung Galaxy S III

About its hardware is a top end phone atm, but im a bit feared about the Android os because ive heard some bad things from friends users of lower end android phones. so im refering at you guys who own and use SGS3 with normal and rooted os to advice me about its stability over time and usage on apps

So my final question is, SGS3 with Android 4.0.4 ICS stock or rooted, did you have any problems with it? laggs on menus/apps over time of usage or crashes or reboots etc?

Cause with iphone 4 and ios jailbroken i had it for 2 years and i never encountered a single error or crash and never had to format it to stock firmware due to problem except when i was updating versions of ios.

Did I F it up?

Samsung Moment :: Radio Stability In 2.1

May 6, 2010

There's been a lot of talk amongst the group regarding Android 2.1. It's now been (kinda-sorta) out for about a month, and many of you have had a chance to thoroughly examine it and see what it can do, and how well it works.

I'm still at CL14, and I plan to wait until the official release (whenever that finally ends up happening).

Of all of the new bells and whistles, fixes, etc., my top priority is radio stability. For those testing 2.1, do you find the phone to be more stable? Does CDMA still lock up and force you to reboot, or has that finally been fixed?

HTC Desire :: Stability - Rarely Slows Down

Jul 31, 2010

Will probably regret saying this but I am very impressed with the stability of this phone. It never crashes, rarely slows down and I have never had to reset it. In fact, I only turned it off the other day because it had been up for about 300 hours and I thought I better refresh everything.

The only errors I have ever received were a couple of "some process has stopped running", but upon clicking okay everything kept on working and I assume the phone simply restarted the failed process.

Nexus :: Want To Flash To Newest Build Cause Of Stability

First of all i'm quite a n00b when it comes to rooting and everything, however back in feb when i got mt ATT n1 I decided to root cause of the cool apps that wouldnt run on non-rooted phones.I followed a step by step guide with success. Then the early 2.2 build came out and I loaded it with CM updater and it worked fine. However apps crash often and the phone seems sluggish. I want to flash to the newest release... thing is I don't know where to start.I don't mind loosing all the apps and contacts since I have everything backed up. I just want a completely clean 2.2 flash.Any idea of where to start? I saw the thread that talked about upgrading but since i'm already on 2.2 I dont know what to do.

A lot of my pics are coming out blurry, whether i have good lighting or not, because i don't have a very steady hand.

Motorola Droid :: Installed Update - Put Back Panda

Apr 15, 2010

I gave the update a chance, for something like a week. Finally put Panda back. I had hoped that the update might make it worth it.

I have no idea what the update was really supposed to do in terms of performance but it's been a zero sum game. I don't give a flaming politician about live wallpaper or exploding gallery icons.

I like Panda's pull-outs that go across all desktops and the alphabetical pull-up. The stock phone is really lacking in terms of app organization. Photo organization too.

Motorola Droid :: Navigation Audio - Ringtone Sound When Using Panda

Nov 21, 2009

In my car I am currently using a cassette adapter plugged into the earphone jack. Two things I noticed.

1) When listening to audio (panda) Nav cuts out the music and speaks it's direction extremely louder than music was playing. Anyone know if there is a seperate setting for the Nav's volume?

2) When listening to panda and I receive a call, panda goes silent but there is no ringtone. at first i thought panda was buffering but when i looked down at the phone I had an incoming call. Normal? Did I dumb thumb something?

I don't think it would be a big problem when it is in the car dock but I haven't used it. On the windshield it's too far away and my car doesn't have any flat surfaces close to the driver. Last thing, with this setup phone call audio comes through the car speakers and with phone on the passenger seat my caller said the call clarity was better than my last phone.

Android :: Stability Issues Of Android

Jun 12, 2010

My wife and are are hoping to update phones soon. I am going to go with Android. We are on AT&T, so iPhone is a possibility too.

My wife currently is on a WinMo device (LG Incite), and it has been stable, but more difficult than she really is comfortable with.

She wants to see what I settle on with Android, and wants to consider same, but also would be happy with iPhone.

Her main use of the phone will be:
Phone use (of course)
Blue Tooth to car
Google sync to calendar, hers in particluar, and maybe mine too
The calendar synch is her only motivating reason for a smart phone. Given that motivation, and some of the cool Google based apps out there (and coming, I'm sure), I have a tendency to want her on the Android.

But of course, Android is still pretty fresh. I don't want to encourage her to Android if it is going to be an experience of lockups, reboots and frustration. Of course enven needing to do that once a week will result in frustration to her.

My thoughts are that if we are careful to only install a small number of Apps that have good feedback will be the best method to assure that.
