Jun 4, 2010I don't do pop mail anymore, just gmail and would like to set it up on it's own home screen page in full screen mode. Does anyone know how to do this?

I cannot figure out how to add a new home page. I'm at ten right now. If I use Settings/Edit to get the multiple page view of home screens, there is no plus sign to add a home page. I must be missing something.
HTC Hero :: Home Screen Layout - One Page Empty
Aug 21, 2009After fiddling around with my home screen layout for a couple weeks now, I've settled on what works for me. The problem is, I have one of my seven pages sitting empty! So I'm looking for suggestions. I'll let you know what I've already got covered:
Toggle switches
Program, contact, and bookmark shortcuts
Music, weather, notepad, and calendar widgets
I'm not interested in Twitter and I haven't found the stock text or email widgets to be that useful because I can only see one at a time and usually have to link to the full program. The icons with unread number are working well enough.I'm looking for any cool widget or folder ideas that I may have passed over on the market, or creative layout ideas.

Sep 14, 2010On my galaxy S, it comes standard news page on the 2nd home screen, called AP news or something, is there any way of getting this replaced, by bbc news, or UK times? As a UK based person I really don't care about news in USA. If there is no way or doing this, is there any way of adding the news screen BACK to the 2nd home screen.

Apr 14, 2014I have the tronsmart CX-919 mini pc running 4.2 and there is an issue with the browser reverting back to the home page or the previous page. When I try to display a webpage on our intranet it reverts back to the homepage or previous page after about 3 hours. I need it to display constantly. I read somewhere that it was a Download Manager issue and disabling it would work but I can't find where to disable it. Also it was stated that Flash was an issue but i tried uninstalling it and it just reinstalled itself and the problem kept occurring. I just want to display a page in a browser and for it to stay on the screen (full screen) until I manually navigate away from it. I plan to leave it on for weeks at a time.

I cannot find any reference to how to specify a home screen page other than the center page that always gets displayed when pressing the Home button by using CATEGORY_HOME. Just wanting to know because my wallpaper when upright (vertical position) does not look good when sideways (horizontal position). when sideway, because the differences in dimension of the screen, takes my wallpaper picture out of center so you cant see the entire picture.

Jun 15, 2010Why is it every time I go to the internet, the last page viewed shows? I have my home page set to "Google." Shouldn't Google be the page that shows up? Also, it seems to save the history, even after I delete history, cookies, caches. Why? I was told to try and keep this, as well as deleted email, empty or the phone may become slow.

Nov 1, 2009Ive had open home downloaded for over a month and i only used it for a short period of time before switching back to the default homepage setting. Now, because of the new features added to Open Home i want to switch back, and every time i open 'Open Home' it only opens until i hit the home key. Then it does not ask me what i want to use as my default as it used to. I went to settings>applications>manage applications>open home to clear all defaults but it is not highlighted for me to select it. How can i set Open Home to my default again?

Aug 16, 2010Just downloaded ADW and at the bottom of my home page I had 3 little icons. One was for the dialler, one was to open the app drawer and the 3rd was (I think) to dial the last number. Well I tried to see if i could change the "dial last number" (Which dialled a number OTHER than the last number dialled btw :-p) and somehow I deleted the thing.... Is there anyway I can get it back? Oct 29, 2010I have been trying to find a way of quickly switching off/on the Mobile Network setting from the home screen. When searching Google there's loads of pages stating that it is an HTC Widget that can be added. I have checked all the widgets on the Desire HD and cannot seem to find it anywhere. I am using an unbranded handset.
The Desire HD manual even states "You can also add widgets that allow you to quickly switch on or off certain settings of your phone, such as Wi-Fi, Mobile Network...".
Does anyone else with an HD handset have this widget ?

Jul 16, 2010I've been playing around with my Vibrant and just lowered the number of pages the Home screen has. Doing this, however, changed the page that comes up when I hit the actual "Home" button. It's becoming very annoying and switching the order of the pages around by dragging them in the Edit mode hasn't helped. It even sometimes chooses the very right-most, completely blank page to be the default home one. How can I assign which of the Home pages I want to pop up when that button is hit?
