I want to remove the phone tab from android contacts application. How can i do this?
Also how can i rotate the focus on contacts different tabs means when focus reaches on the last last tab of contact when pressing keyboard it should focus on first tab.

I recently purchased my first droid. when loading social network i noticed it copied all 300+ friends to my phone contacts. I don't call everyone of my friends how do i remove my facebook contact phone number from my phone contact list?

View 18 Replies View RelatedI got my DroidX on 7/15 and on 7/16 linked all my phone contacts who have facebook to a facebook contact via social networking. I kike how the phone sets the picture, I like that in the contact entry it shows me thier status on facebook. What I don't like is that when I open up a contac that is both a phone contact and a facebook contact and I tap the facebook icon on the contact screen I get 3 options (view profile, write on wall, and poke). If I open up a contact that is only facebook and tap that same Icon I get 4 options (view profile, message, write on wall, and poke). Is there some reason linking the facebook contact to a phone contact needs to remove that option? I'd like to be able to send a facebook message from the phone to any contact as easy as I can send a text message.

However she now needs to return the phone for service (silent call bug) and she went to G mail to ensure all her contacts was backed up... they are not. It seems the contacts are stored on her phone (Eris) and not in g mail. How can we import all of her contacts from the phone memory into G mail?

I don't want to do the .csv backup and all that just sync all Phone and Google contacts to Google. I have a Droid 3. My Accounts include my main Gmail acct, a gmail acct I hardly ever use (no contacts issues there), a pop3 account and a Touchdown-Exchange account which I dont need because Im not connected to that Exchange server any longer. Some time ago, since I wasnt on the Exchange server any more, I deleted the Touchdown account. Then I realized some or most of my Google contacts had disappeared from the phone. Thinking that this would delete the same contacts from the Gmail servers when it synced, I immediately restored the Touchdown account, restoring the lost contacts to the phone. Are these 2 issues related?

View 2 Replies View RelatedI recently rooted my phone and have been playing around with ROMS and such and clearly needed to back all of my information up. I used the nandroid backup and titanium backup for my apps and then i realized i had no contacts.
So i found mybackup pro and it works great! i actually use this instead of titanium backup now. my only problem is that when it backed up my contacts, i only had like 400+ contacts and now i had 1500
i was able to filter out the extra 1000 by viewing only people with phone numbers, i guess it added all of my fb friends to my contact list. How can i get rid of all of these extra people?
its not just the fb contacts that were added, but there seems to many duplicates which are just linked together. when i go to edit a contact, it asks me which contact to edit, and it lists like 3 or 4 of the same contact name and they all say google underneath.
I would like to be able to automatically remove spam callers from my call log and not be notified they called. I've set up a contact that goes directly to voice-mail. I'm using google voice, so I can set the contact as spam, so it will put any voice-mails in the inbox. That took care of the ringing and interuption, but I'd still like a little more opaqueness.
Is there an app that can remove a caller from the log, or at least clear the notification? I've checked out the various call blocker apps, but thus far, I haven't been able to confirm if any can clear the notification. They mainly seem to answer and hang up.
I have checked my contact and have no duplicates, although I did find some with linked contacts which I have since deleted. However every time I open up the SMS app and try and search for a contact it display each contact about 5 or 6 times. I have checked the people app and I am certian that there no duplicates. I don't use facebook so no contacts there and I dont sync gmail contacts. remove these duplicate entries

However, when I go to the dialer page the phone shows both phone contacts and SIM contacts resulting in multiple duplicate contacts from where I copied from SIM to Phone when I first got the handset.
