Android :: Use TouchDelegate To Increase Size Of View's Click Target?
Aug 27, 2009My understanding is that when you have a view that's too small to easily touch, you're supposed to use a TouchDelegate to increase the clickable region for that view. However, searching for usage examples on Google turn up multiple people asking the question, but few answers. Does anyone know the proper way to set up a touch delegate for a view to, say, increase its clickable region by 4 pixels in every direction?

Jun 1, 2010Sometimes I have a button in my UI that it is so small that it is difficult to click. My solution so far has been to add a transparent border around the button in photoshop. Just increasing the padding on the button does not work, since this will also stretch the image. Since it is kind of a fuss to open photoshop each time I want to change the clickable surface, is there any way to do this programmatically? I have tried placing a framelayout behind the button and make it clickable, but then the button wont change appearance on touch as it should. Ofcourse I could also add a ontouchlistener on the framelayout which changes the buttons appearance, but then it quite some code if I have several of those buttons.

Aug 31, 2010AT&T coverage in my area is less than stellar, so I occasionally get dropped calls. Also, I sometimes tend to piss my GF off, and she hangs up on me unexpectedly .
Given both these situations, I'd like to know if there was a way to increase or change the call failed/ended tone. Problem is, I can't hear it.

Sep 23, 2010So I'm loading images from a web service, but the size of the images are sometimes smaller or bigger than other images and the visualization looks silly when I put them in a ListView in android. I'd like to fix the size of my ImageView so that it only shows a portion of the image if it's larger than a preset amount. I've tried everything I can think of setting the setMaxWidth/setMaxHeight, setting the scale type to centerCrop, using ClipableDrawable wrapping my BitmapDrawable, setting using Drawable.setBounds(). I've tried setting in the XML and programmatically, but neither worked. I'm very surprised setting max width/height didn't do anything. Below is the XML I'm using ImageView definition in my layout file

With the evo, and recorder set on minimum resolution I can't even send a 10 second clip!I've tried handset which only gets me up to 1.2mb. I need it at 3 at the very least.

I realize I can add apps like Handcent that will allow me to do it for things like SMS/MMS. But I also would like to have a way to just increase the font for everything else. After coming over to the Eris from several other smartphones where the font could be adjusted, I'm concerned that I havent found a way on the Eris.
