General :: Music Player Without Playing Or Jumping To Next Music File
Feb 2, 2013Music Player which should STOP after playing a music file and should NOT Repeat or jump play the next audio file. Option of having Stop after playing a single music file.I know except VLC beta player- which has some hanging problems & needs to be forced quit sometimes (Motorola Phone).

I have a layout like this above textview and an image that slides down after clicking the text view. I have looked at translate animation but the issue is I want the image to start from the bottom of text view and gradually get into its full view. Translate animation doesn't let me start from behind the textview so that it can appear slowly and coming out at the bottom of text view and expanding to its fullview. I have linear layout now with textview and imageview.

Oct 7, 2010Presently am displaying html file in web view and my emulator size 1024*600. If the html file is large then user is scrolling down to see bottom part of the html. I Need to break these html file in equal parts so that it fits exactly in my screen size. I don't want User to Scroll Down but load remaining part (next page) next time.

May 20, 2010Have been using the HTC and Android music players on the Desire, both pretty decent and do the job. However when listening to a mixed album where the songs - despite being separate files - mix into each other, there's a small gap/delay as it stops playing one song and starts the other. The Android player's gap is shorter than the HTC version (which is a shame as I like the HTC's widget), but there's still a gap. Is there anything I can do to either widget so that there's no small delay? Or alternatively is there a music player out there that will play the songs with no gap?

Sep 18, 2012There is an application called QVOD that downloads videos to a local cache on the Android device, and for many devices it works just fine. For many devices however. If the device is running ICS, frequently the playback features stuttering audio. I have found where QVOD saves the video files, although it separates them into several pieces, making it difficult to just browse to that directory and use an alternative player, such as MXPlayer. I have found that if you cat the files together into one RMV file, you can then watch it with another application and it plays just fine. That means the audio codec built into QVOD is almost certainly the problem.
What I'd like to do is build a simple graphical app that allows you to view the videos in that folder and automatically cat the files together so you can either save them or view them in another player. Having some background in programming, I understand the process flow of this is very simple. Unfortunately, I do not know how to program in java. Ideally, it would be great if the makers of QVOD addressed the problem directly, but having spoken with them on QQ, it doesn't seem they have any interest in doing so.
I don't see this program taking more than a hundred lines or so, and would be a great contribution to the Android community.The application will SURELY get a lot of attention, because it will not only allow those with audio problems to enjoy their videos, but it will allow those that aren't having problems viewing to at least save the files and also have a CHOICE of what application to view them in.
Android :: Background Music Playing
May 25, 2010My question is : on the HTC Desire, is it possible to listen music with the default player, while doing something else like browsing the web? Because when I'm under the music player app, listening to something, and then I click (or long-click) "home" button, the sound stops. Also, while i'm listening to a track, if a phone call comes in, the music is paused, but when the call ends, the track position is lost and it starts from the beginning. Is all this normal?

Oliver Erben android wallpapers... The stuff in there is great! I can only get the small icon version of the pic to bring up the "save image" option? when I hold down on the image, not the full pic. Because off this it's really grainy as a background on the phone. Anyone know how to do this, or get other free and safe (no ads or bad stuff) wallpapers on my eris?? I am concerned with some of the wallpaper apps in the market because of all of the badmouthing in the reviews. Help out an amateur! Thanks in advance for your responses!

Android : Way To Keep Podcasts / Audiobooks From Playing In The Music App?
Apr 4, 2010I don't think i'm using the right search terms or else no one else cares about this and it's just me i use doggcatcher for my podcasts. when i want to listen to music, i use the music app. but i have play all random, it pulls from the entire SD card, not just the music folder where i have the music. basically, it's just annoying to have the random music playing and then all of sudden a chapter from an audio book or a podcast starts playing, esp when i'm driving. i don't like having to mess with it then. i have also used it to sync with mediamonkey, but if i have more than one playlist that syncs (i have "favorites" and "recently added"), then i can only pick one playlist at a time to listen to. i can't figure out a way to make a smart playlist or anything like that on the eris. i even downloaded that cube 3 or whatever that was on Lifehacker recently - but that doesn't have anything either.

Don't want homepipe or anything that will use my internet bandwidth as its only for when i'm connected to my home router. May 26, 2010I have a unique situation I need assitance with...about 1.5 years ago I ripped all my cd's to my harddrive in mp3 format, for a thousand or so mp3's. My cd's have all since been stolen out of my car, and a week ago my hard drive crashed. I used a restore tool & was able to retrieve a lot of info from the drive, however none of the files have names on them, just 0001 0002 etc etc. Now my question. I have loaded all my music onto my htc incredible, and am looking for something like pandora which allows you to quickly mark a song as good or bad, and move onto the next. I want to sort through these to see which ones I want to keep, as I don't want to take the time to rename every song from every album as I usually only like 3-4 songs per album. So i want some music player that either I can assign them to a playlist, then sync the playlist to my pc, and sort through that way, or something that allows me to delete the song straight from the main screen. Now before anyone says yes you can delete using astro, or long clicking, what i'm trying to accomplish is to either delete the song, move the song, rate it, or simply mark it good or bad, in 1-2 clicks. If I have to go through screen after screen to delete or assign to a playlist with over 1000+ songs, it'll drive me crazy. I'd rather not do it on my PC as i'd like to do it while walking around wearing headphones.

Jan 19, 2010We're developing an Android game and we play some background music for our intro (we have an Intro Activity) but we want it to continue playing to the next Activity, and perhaps be able to stop or play the music again from anywhere within the application. What we're doing at the moment is play the bgm using MediaPlayer at our Intro Activity. However, we stop the music as soon as the user leaves that Activity. Do we have to use something like Services for this? Or is MediaPlayer/SoundPool enough? If anyone knows the answer, we'd gladly appreciate your sharing it with us.
