I've already applied our modules in embedded system. To apply a DRM module in Android, I made it as a CPM Plug-in of OpenCore and added its uuid in pvplayer.cfg. After applying, DRM-protected music contents can be played in Music Application of Android.
I've planning to make the module downloadable because I want that drm- protected music contents can be played in not only new android phones but existing android phones, after a user downloads and installs it in their phones. BUT, we have a lot of difficulties in finding method.
If anyone knows any method, could you tell me? I have another question. When myAppl.apk is installed in Android, I want a .cfg file written in /system/etc. Is it possible?

Apr 28, 2010Suprised that this has not been mentioned already, but in the timesonline article re the release of the GMN they mentioned downloading the maps to your SD card. Quote: The system?s main weakness, he acknowledged, is that motorists using their Google Maps satnav in Europe will be forced to pay data roaming charges. He suggested that users on holiday download a route using wireless broadband internet before setting out, and then tourn off data roaming to avoid racking up a huge bill.
So my question is can you?if yes how, if not when can you? or is it always going to require your data signal and download as you use? Also noticed someone mention that they did not like the voice for the sat nav only for some smart arse to simply reply, change it. I have a had a look and cant see how you can, so maybe said smart arse can enlighten us all

Mar 25, 2010Ouch - it should have said "Now Downloadable" (gotta stop posting at 4am ) Just cranked up ROM Manager and found Bugles Beast V0.9 (and the latest Ultimate Droid) available in the download section. This should be an incentive to those reluctant to try other ROMs due to the 2 different recovery standards (even though it is a piece of cake to switch recovery methods).

Nov 23, 2009I was surprised that I really couldn't find much on this, but I can't be the only one with the problem. My Droid Eris is sending blank text messages repeatedly. Is the phone faulty or is there some setting that I can change. I downloaded ChompSMS hoping that would fix it, but it doesn't appear to. When I open my text messaging program, many times it will send a blank text to the last person I texted. The other day, I turned the phone off and turned it back on and it sent a blank text at the exact time I turned it on.

May 18, 2010I am going to try taking my eris in to get it exchanged because of the silent phone problem. I am on leak 3. I have some questions first though.

Aug 4, 2010Anyone else lost 3G? My phone is fine cause I haven't flashed a ROM in a few days. But I Rooted a friend of mines yesterday and flashed Suave Smush. Everything was fine until he called me this morning and said he had lost 3G. A little later it would not send or receive a text message. Then it kept saying he was out of his home network. We wipped it clean and did the Nand Restore and its fine now. His phone still has Android 1.5.

Feb 23, 2010As I was browsing the Forums a few moments ago, I noticed an Advertisement for the Behold II and noticed it has the Android OS on it and a thought popped into my head.Why did the Manufacture (Samsung) go with the Android OS instead of keeping with the Behold system it originally had? then it hit me......
The big Phone Manufacturers are USING the Android OS.. It's overkill. From what I see, they are being lazy and not developing their own new systems to challenge other companies to create better and more advanced phones.. They are relying on Google to do the leg work and labor to keep updating their Android OS to keep the companies ahead of the rest.I am sure Google of course is making bookooldes amount of cash in the process, but come-on! Where is the friendly revelry among each other.. I dred what is going to happen to Google. If not a Monopoly, then being used up until the core is left.
HTC Eris :: Android Market Broken On Rooted Phone
Jul 12, 2010So I rooted both mine and my wife's phone to Ivan's 1.0 (2.1 with OC). Her Market works totally fine. It's fast and loads everything and all tabs are there. Mine was sort of working at first, now it's completely come to a halt. The "top paid" tab is missing (when does finally load), most of the time it just gets stuck on "loading". I've tried clearing cache, doing a factory reset, reflashing the ROM, using the market fix (that puts the "top paid" tab back, but doesn't fix the slowless). It's just seriously broken.
Again, I've flashed the exact same ROM on mine and my wife's Eris, and hers works totally fine. I've searched for this issue on google and it seems this is a common problem, but no one has found a solution that works for me. I've tried them all, and none of them work. If I would have known rooting was going to break something so basic I possibly wouldn't have done it.
Android :: Sending Texts While Phone Is Locked On Eris
Jul 2, 2010Is it possible to continue sending a text message after I press the red lock key? I keep sending messages and putting my phone in my pocket and then twenty minutes later will open my phone and realize it never sent. Is there any way to press send and then be able to immediately press the red button to lock the screen?

Jun 19, 2010I updated my Eris to 2.1 about a month ago, and it's been running fine up until about last week. Lately, the battery hasn't been lasting me more than 12 hours, and I've done everything I can to save battery life, plus the battery cover usually gets hot enough to cook some eggs on top of. The problems I've encountered lately is with making and receiving calls. When trying to call someone, it seems to take forever. I know my phone isn't the fastest Android, but it used to work fine. It takes a good 30 seconds just to type in a 10 digit number; the phone usually freezes a couple of times, its just generally laggy.
When I try to receive a call, the same basic thing happens. The phone freezes up while I am trying to slide the bar down on the lock screen, etc. Here's the main issue. After sifting through the freezing and lagging, and finally get to the call, I cannot hear anything, and they cannot hear me. The call is connected; I see the notification up top, and I have got the vibrate to tell me it's connected.

Oct 31, 2010So I have ran into a sort of a dilemma, there are at certain times that I need to have access to a fax machine, which I do have a All-in-one printer, copier, scanner fax machine. But without a land line it makes the fax part sort of useless, so I know on some older phones I could use my phone as a 56 K connection, so I was hoping I could either hook my phone up to my computer and using the phone as a modem to do a fax from within windows. Or if their is a app in the market to do it. I do have a fax machine at work, but I don't want to use it unless I absolutely need to.
Any one have any suggestions on how I can go about doing thing?
