I am not a developer but would like to get an android phone. I am currently using a blackberry. I use an application called Black & While List, by ISoftware Lab. This software lets you block callers and also lets you block unknown or private callers all together. This is one software I can't do without.

i lost my phone today and i called my carrier and they said they could blacklist/block my phone so no one can access it!so i gave them my IMEI number, but he couldn't answer if rooting / flashing roms would affect this!

I used an app called iblacklist on my iphone and it works wonders for this. I was wondering if there is something in the market that functions the same as this. iblacklist also removes the calls from the recent calls list, that would be useful but not very important.

Well I know without a doubt what the password is supposed to be but I can't get into the Blacklist becuase my password isn't matching. View 1 Replies View RelatedI wonder if there is any application which allows me to define a list of contacts that should not receive my phone number when they are called.
Or otherwise: a list of friends that may see my caller ID, everone else not.
The reason for this is easy: I use my android phone on work but I don't want all customers have my private number just because they receive a call from my mobile phone.
I tried adding *31# before a contacts phone number which actually works, it disables the caller ID for the next call, but incoming numbers don't match the deposited phone number in the phonebook so I can't see who's calling I just see a number.
Is there a solution to my problem? If there isn't an automatic way to do this, maybe there is a quick-switch application I can place on my phone: hit once to toggle caller ID on/off...
The whitelist/blacklist "block call" apps I have tried often will permit a partial ring sometimes before it recognizes the number and sends to voicemail.
Are there any such apps which NEVER have a partial ring?
Is there any browser I can use (hopefully the default one) that will prevent a specific site from being accessed? It's really only one site I need to have blocked on the phone, but I can't seem to figure out how to do it.
View 12 Replies View RelatedA friend called me and i rejected the call since i was busy, later when i unlocked the screen a pop-up kinda window was there with 3 options and a title saying Unlisted contact number, the options were : Blaclist number, deal with it later(or something like that) and dont show this again. From mistake i pushed blacklist. Where are the blacklist setting in DOnut(galaxo), i cant find them, i know in froto u can find them somewhere in call settings, in galaxo there isnt any.
This happend now, i`m charging the phone on my laptop, and when i removed the usb cable the music started playing, but the screen didnt showed anything or the notification bar,it wasnt even the last song i listened in music player; while the music was playing i went to music player and that started singing too, but the last song i listened, both songs were playin, i stopped the player and the intruder music was still playin, it stopped when i dragged down the notification bar. I re-did the action a few times and it was the same, now it doesnt do it anylonger.
Did a search a didn't find an answer to this. If you blacklist someone on Handcent, do they get a message back that their text didn't go through, or any other alert or message to that affect when they trying texting you?

Am I missing something obvious in Froyo to do this?

View 1 Replies View RelatedWhen recieving incoming calls message on screen when call is showing on device screen it shows system message : ["blacklisted incoming number"] {not exact message, but similiar...}. This is happened a couple of times so it is not a fluke. The calls work at first, but after this you cant recieve calls from that number. There is no setting or list to remove or edit the blacklist "feature".

I have my HTC Desire and the Facebook application is the worst thing it should happen. It sync all my friends phone numbers and mixes with all my other phone numbers. Can some one in clear state of mind ask Android/Facebook to give us the option to select what friends we want in our phone list? I like the Facebook app but deleted it once it messes my phone!
