I am integrating Paypal into my application for in-app purchase. I am using Paypal Mobile Checkout for this purpose. I will like to know whether Android Market will approve this kind of application which uses a payment gateway other than Google Checkout. Can anyone let me know where I can find information related to this?

I would like to have two apps. One to do the real job and another one to carry the payment on a monthly basis (licensing app). Users must download the licensing app each month from Market. But, should they have to uninstall the last month's app before that. Can an app auto destroy itself (uninstall itself)?

2. What makes you take a risk and buy an app vs using a free one?

The title was quite blunt - but I'm writing this to warn others about paying for this product. I'm sure it is an excellent product - if you can get it to work. I made the mistake of paying for a subscription before I tried it. I have never been able to get it working.
I've been in contact with their support department who (very occasionally) reply to my email messages. I have done as they asked, run debug versions and supplied them with log files. They tell me that the problem is at their server end and they are trying to fix it. Since then (weeks ago) I've heard nothing despite repeat attempts to ask them for an update (and my money back). This morning, my phone told me that an update was available. I eagerly downloaded it in case this fixed the problem - it didn't. Just in case anyone from Wave Secure is reading this, please check support tickets IYR-245894 and BQO-385045 and you'll see how lousy you are at supporting a paying customer. So, although this product may be good, please don't buy it unless you are sure it works first. Also, if you have any problems, please don't hold your breath waiting for support from them as it probably won't happen.
Anyone know if there is a way to change your payment info for the android market app?
Is this an automatic thing where if you try to buy something and your credit card you entered last time is expired, it will automatically ask you for new info?
Anyway, i can't find a place to go to change the info.

There is an activity in the app where as and when the users use the app, money keeps accruing. I have a button in that activity called Cash Out which when the user reaches a certain amount can be clicked and is supposed to let the users take the money accrued from the app. I have contacted Google Checkout and Paypal so far and Paypal suggested personal payments can be integrated in my case and sent me the Paypal for Android API doc. The doc itself is very useful but does not describe this kind of a scenario that I am looking for. Any clues how to integrate such a functionality.

The problem is, that I can't use the suggested solution under android, because it throws java.lang.verifyError. I may have multiple widgets visible on the screen, each displaying some data, partly the same as the other widgets. From time to time I re-fetch the data from the Internet and update the widget views. I've modeled this in an MVC style: I have a model which I can invoke a "re-fetch-data" on, and which the views listen on. My questions:
A) Is it wise to let my model be a singleton?
B) Can I rely on that all widgets are served by the same AppWidgetProvider? Or may some of my widgets get served by a different AppWidgetProvider instance? Or, more generally: Is there any guarantee that there will be only one instance of my AppWidgetProvider? If there is only one instance of my AppWidgetProvider, then I could use an instance variable here for the model, and pass either my AppWidgetProvider or the model around where needed. Perhaps a better option?
C) In the AppWidgetProviders onUpdate method, can I be sure that the same "context" object is passed as argument each invocation?
