I'm looking for a notes/task app that has a widget that will show me the tasks I have set on my home screen, preferably no bigger than 2x2 or 4x1 Any other apps like that, the newer version of Astrid seems to not work as well as it doesn't display new tasks or will sometimes display them out of order.

Has anyone heard any ideas about upcoming widget releases or how they would be downloaded?offered through the market?sent through updates?I'd like to see a google reader widget, or maybe i wouldn't....i'm not sure, but i know i'd like to see something, i just need someone to tell me.

The problem with Astrid is that it has a backup process which keeps running in the background even when I disable backups. (See for yourself, in running processes).

I selected Got To Do in the Task section of the widget setup, included all tasks with and without folders...
Any ideas why I can't see any of my tasks in the widget? (and I already checked, based on the timetable and when things are due some of the tasks should be there now)
I switched to Launcher Pro and I'm loving it so far. However, one of my favorite Motorola widgets was Contact Quick Tasks. It doesn't work since Launcher Pro doesn't support sizable widgets.Are there any widgets similar to Contact Quick Tasks?

I've tried evernote, but that doesn't seem to have a widget so I have to enter the app every time (cumbersome). What about any google wave apps? Those (well, one) I see on the marked (I only has access to the free part) is low ranked with crash warnings. or Google Notebook (or docs for that matter)? - just trust google more than your everyday website I don't know if exists tomorrow or sell my content for highest bidder (not that I'll store something of value anyway, still)

At the moment the spinner will load a simple Textview and show the name of the item.It is possible to define an own view to show inside the spinner row? I would suspect it being similar to a custom List row.I simply want to show an individual icon left from the spinner text for each item in the list.

Does anyone else have suggestions for the best widget they've found? I liked the HTC widget because you could see more details when you clicked the icon as well as the relatively small icon size. I'm writing an android program for adding task and deleting task in listview. I've add an onClickListener to the delete button so it can delete the task. However I was told I should not have the listener in the adapter violating mvc. how I can remove a task in my TaskListItem class. I got the method removeTask() in the adapter, but don't how I can use it in the TaskListItem class.

The app has custom view (which probably is the source of issue).mView.addWidget() basically just remembers this AppWidgetHostView instance and then mView draws it directly onto canvas. Visually everything is fine.I can see the actual widget. But the issue is with reacting on UI events. Please advise what needs to be done in the parent view in order to correctly trigger handlers in the widgets like onClick().I used standard widgets which normally react on click events. None worked.I also created my own test widget with listener and onClick()is successfully triggered if the widget is added on Homescreen, but doesn't work in my app.mView correctly detects click event and I tried to call widget.perform Click there, which returns false meaning onClickListener is not registered in the widget. But according to source .would call updateAppWidget which would register its onClick listener.

Anyone hearing any news on upcoming dual core releases. I'm eligible for upgrade on 12-1-10 but if something new is coming out I'd wait a few months. I'm with sprint and would like to stay with them, hoping they will have one of the new dual core releases.
