headphone jacks can accept corded headsets with microphones with 3 "contact points" on the plug so you can plug in the corded headset to listen to audio, plus speak through the in-line microphone for calls. So it would seem possible but I can't find anything that says if it can or not
and witch app can record in mp3?

May 11, 2010I use some higher end balance armature earphones and also some regular traditional earphones.
Anyone else notice the sounds quality ... isn't exactly that great?
I hope its just me but the frequency range seem incomplete. The highs are missing and the low end is clipped out pretty early. The midrange is decent though.
HTC Incredible :: Using Headphone Jack Disable Phone Mic
May 28, 2010I like to use my phone as my MP3 player and have an AUX port on my car stereo that I use. On my old phone if I plug headphones or 3.5cable into the jack the phone thinks it has a Mic and disables the one on the phone. So if I get a call while in the car listening to music I can answer the phone and hear the caller through my car stereo but they cannot hear me. Am I going to need a special cable with mic to use in my car?
I don't have my Incredible yet but want to make sure I have all the cables and gadgets before it gets here in a couple weeks. I do a lot of car traveling for business and need to make calls and listen to music.

Apr 26, 2010I take my phone everywhere with me, usually on my hip in a holster of some type. The headphone jack on the Dinc represents a substantial port of entry for dirt and moisture. I know I had an LG flip phone years ago that make with a rubber plug to prevent such substances from entering.
I am hoping that someone here has a solution for the Dinc, and hopefully available at say, Lowes, instead of ordering a $0.10 piece of rubber off the internets. It doesn't have to be a "headphone jack plug" per se, but something that will work just the same?

Apr 22, 2010To those that have gotten the incredible early (lucky bastards!), how is the sound quality and volume through the headphone jack? i currently have a moto droid and might switch to the incredible. one concern is the output through the headphone jack. the droid is very quiet through the headphone jack and before the 2.0.1 update had a terrible crackle on the left channel. does the incredible sound good through the headphone jack? any crackle at higher volumes? does it get loud? really loud?

Such an awesome camera and camcorder but it sounds like I am speaking through a damn kazoo. HTC Incredible :: Line Of Pixels On Screen
Jun 16, 2010I got my incredible yesterday, it's all going well, except that I noticed this line of pixels, not really any color in particular, but when you move the phone and look closely, they are very slightly distorted, and it makes them stick out slightly. I've noticed this problem on TVs before but I never understood it. I'm thinking it may be the invisible shield I had the person at the store install for me? I'm hoping it's not the screen...but here's a picture. I understand it may be hard to see, but if you move away from the picture you can sort of see what I'm talking about.

I'm trying to get the code entered in the command window before running the PB31IMG.zip file and have run into a snag that, being, I don't know much about the using command window. (adb push flash_image /data)(adb push mtd0.img /dat. Both go through fine, but when I type: (adb shell) and press enter my next line of code starts w/ :(~#) upon my typing (chmod 777 /data/flash_image) I get: (~#) again. Quick question: 1. Is the (~# ) correct and if not how do I get past it to enter the remaining code? 2. Do I just continue to type the remaining code after the (~#)? 3. After rebooting, what volume do I type the (fastboot devices after? C: or C:sdkools? I obviously don't know much, if anything, about using the command window.

I think he may use this phone for pron sometimes and when the GF reaches for the phone in the morning to check the weather, fooking autocomplete gives him away.
