I did a factory reset on my phone to help with my People app for Launcher + and of course lost all my apps. I did do a few back ups threw Astro and cant find a way to get back my apps ? Is there a way to do this ?

However, when I was browsing through Astro tonight, I found the apps folder on the Evo, and when pulling up the apk of them with the App Manager, the uninstall button was available. I didn't click on it, because I wasn't sure if there would be any ramifications. Will I just get an error that says, I can't unistall it? Has anyone tried this?

View 5 Replies View RelatedOnce I download an apk and place it on sd, and install it with astro file manager, does the apk have to stay on sd card or is it permanently installed to system until deletion?
For example my SuperUser.apk, wireless tether.apk and swype.apk were installed from sd through astro. I also have these apk's backed up with titanium backup. If i delete them from sd will they be removed and uninstalled from my system?
Also... I did a nandroid backup with the great clockwork recovery. This only backs up ROM and not apps/apks....right?
New Moto Droid X here. I was having trouble updating my " my verizon " app today and kept getting the message installation error package was not signed correctly. i read to delete the app and reinstall, but after i found out that the ota update coming out tomorrow supposed to fix this but i already went in the sys file with astro and deleted the verizon apk and astro said it was successful. is this possible to delete factory apps with astro did i screw my phone up

Done a scan, found my desk top, viewed all files and folders that I wanted to...BUT cannot open any document. Word, Excel, PDF, MP3, etc. Everytime I click on the files it says "Sorry, No Application Installed." I can open these types of files if they are attached to an email, but not in Es File Explorer.

I had NFL Mobile on my Eris. I upgraded to a DInc but still have the backup. If I install from backup then "Upgrade" the app will it function from a billing standpoint as if I originally had the app in June?

Is there a way I can fix this issue? I have purchased numerous things using my Google Apps account and all the information is current.

I have been reading of similar problems in other threads but mine is different so I was wondering if anyone had any suggestions
Heres what happened
I followed the backup instructions perfectly (INFO: The backup and restore i have on my phone wasnt on the phone originally, it was added by the sony ericsson Computer software about 2 weeks ago so i assume this is the most recent version)
I then downloaded the update. I turnt the phone back on, and logged into my google account as it instructed, and performed the restore.
My apps were not there. My contacts also didn't return.
Now, if this is because my backup and restore was the wrong version, is there nothing i can do? Please dont say my only option is remembering all my aps and downloading them again. What about the ones that were paid for?
So, I am new to Android. Can anyone give me a brief explanation on what Astro will do? What happens if I do not download it? Any limitations?
