A spinner is available for selecting class from user. That spinner have all the class name. In list-view, show all the data but Selected class will come top of List-view.

It looks great, except when the user enters a lot of text, the EditText is resized, and the button is squished. I have both EditText and Button set to layout_width="wrap_content". "fill_parent" messes up the layout, and I don't want to use absolute sizes if I don't have to - the way it is now looks great in both landscape and portrait, I just don't want the EditText to resize.

I use the data from the rows elsewhere in my Activity so I don't want to change my SQL to filter them with a WHERE clause. What is the best way to keep a row from being displaying in my ListView? Ideally I would check a column in my row and then only add rows to the ListView that satisfy a condition.

Jun 17, 2010I want to implement RadioButton and EditText inside a row of a ListView. I am using an ArrayAdapter to populate the List. But the problem is that when i am selecting a RadioButton and scroll down the list and scroll up again the Radiobutton which had been selected is unselected. Same with the content of the EditText. The text getting removed when I scroll up.

Apr 21, 2010I've spent about 6 hours on this so far, and been hitting nothing but roadblocks. The general premise is that there is some row in a ListView (whether it's generated by the adapter, or added as a header view) that contains an EditText widget and a Button. All I want to do is be able to use the jogball/arrows, to navigate the selector to individual items like normal, but when I get to a particular row -- even if I have to explicitly identify the row -- that has a focusable child, I want that child to take focus instead of indicating the position with the selector.I've tried many possibilities, and have so far had no luck.
Assuming there are other items in the adapter, using the arrow keys will move the selection up/down in the list, as expected; but when getting to the header row, it is also displayed with the selector, and no way to focus into the EditText using the jogball. Note: tapping on the EditText will focus it at that point, however that relies on a touchscreen, which should not be a requirement.ListView apparently has two modes in this regard:
1. setItemsCanFocus(true): selector is never displayed, but the EditText can get focus when using the arrows. Focus search algorithm is hard to predict, and no visual feedback (on any rows: having focusable children or not) on which item is selected, both of which can give the user an unexpected experience.
2. setItemsCanFocus(false): selector is always drawn in non-touch-mode, and EditText can never get focus -- even if you tap on it.
To make matters worse, calling editTextView.requestFocus() returns true, but in fact does not give the EditText focus.What I'm envisioning is basically a hybrid of 1 & 2, where rather than the list setting if all items are focusable or not, I want to set focusability for a single item in the list, so that the selector seamlessly transitions from selecting the entire row for non-focusable items, and traversing the focus tree for items that contain focusable children.

Feb 3, 2010I want to set up a BroadcastReceiver to handle PACKAGE_REPLACED, but I only want to be notified when my package is replaced. It works fine if I specify a data tag with scheme="package" but then I get notified when any application is reinstalled or upgraded. I can't figure out how I'm supposed to specify the package name which is in the scheme specific part -- that is, when my BroadcastReceiver gets the intent in onRecieve(), if I do intent.getData().getSchemeSpecificPart(), that's the package name, but is there any way I can filter for only that in my intent-filter?

Jul 12, 2012Kernel with fixed Iptables/Netfilter issue!! I found that my rooted Galaxy Pocket GT-S5300 has a problem applying the iptables/Netfilter. My Droidwall nor Data Usage Defender app cannot be able to filter the connection thus, I won't be able to manage my data usage at al. Below the quote from the page:
