I have several files on DTG that I would like to backup. I know that I can do this by emailing the documents to myself, however this is time consuming because it looks as though I have to attach each file individually. Is there an easier way to backup my files?

I am new Android user and very happy with HTC Desire. However, frustrated that common Office apps not able to edit e-mailed docs, or send edited docs. Have looked at Quick Office; Documents To Go; & Office Suite Pro. Anybody know of a suitable app - this seems like a significant limitation to me. Adam

View 2 Replies View RelatedMy Sandisc 64GB SD card went kaputt last week, it froze at 33GB, luckily the existing files are all ok and I was able to copy all the files onto my PC, however nothing new can be written to it. I've tried formatting with no success. So I copied the files onto the PC and just got a new this time Samsung 64GB micro SD card. Problem I'm having now is that on several attempts it's failed to copy the files back to my SD card (from PC) I've formatted the card in the Note 3..the music files about 4 GB transferred just fine, the problem seems to be with the Pix and Videos. I'm currently trying to copy the DCIM folder back onto the micro sd and it's saying it'll take 6 hours.
I have tried: copying from PC to micro SD in the phone via USB copying from PC to micro SD in SD card adapter plugged directly into PC
copying from PC to micro SD in USB adapter plugged into PC
all results the same
I would like to make a nightly job that moves photos from my SD card to a share on my home network. I have tasker and can set it to turn on wifi at a certain time, however tasker can only move a file if it is given a specific file name. It doesn't seem to be able to move all files in a specific directory (unless I am mistaken).
View 4 Replies View RelatedI've seen many Batman and other HD movies played on the EVO or streamed from the EVO to a television, but I can't access video files I put on the sd card; they just don't exist (similar problem with music). So, one file was mkv, and the other was avi/windows movie file. Neither show up and I've moved their locations around in various folders in the directory. What am I missing? This is my first Android phone.

View 1 Replies View Relatedtoday my s4 was sluggish in typing and everything, and the ram and device storage were loaded right up. and in my attempts to speed up my phone and clear memory i wiped the phone, i tried moving my pics and vids to my sd card. i dont know if they went but now i cant get my s4 to mount sd card or get anything else to read my sd card. i was wondering if i didnt my files didnt get moved to my sd card could i recover them from my wiped s4? i dont think i can but then again do i know, i wiped my phone to make it run faster.

View 2 Replies View RelatedI downloaded the 2.1 zip to sd card, and cleaned all off of sd card, EXCEPT the zip file. Put the other 1.5 files on another sd card Installed 2.1, no issues at all. Runs great. Do I need to put those misc files back on, or are they included in 2.1.
View 3 Replies View RelatedThere were a bunch of videos on my phone's internal memory (21 to be exact). I connected the phone to a PC so I could copy the videos off the phone and when it synced the two drives (internal and SD), it only showed 3 out of the 21 videos I had. I searched on the drive for *.3gp videos and it still only showed those 3. When I removed the phone from the PC and looked in my videos on the phone the extra 18 videos were no longer there. I also performed a search on the phone using Astro and again it only found the 3 videos.
It is as if they have been deleted somehow? Any idea how to get them back?
So as the title states, I'm an idiot and delted everything off of my SD card. The idiot part comes from me getting all gitty about the 2.1 v3 update, not thinking about the pictures and videos that I didn't back up (my music and ROMs already were backed up) and deleting my SD card purposely to get rid of all the old, unneccesary files and folders. Anyways, is there anyway to get these old files back? I've seen another post about a file recovery program but it wasn't very specific.

I thought I had a decent understanding of what was going on until I saw this second example. In the first case, you need the + character so that id 'label' is added to the R file, correct? In the second case, would the EditText's id not be added to the R file because it does not contain the + character?
Also, the second example does not include the android namespace on the id. Does having or not having the Android namespace affect whether that id will be added to the R file?
So i ended up rooting using my PNY 2gif card. Is there any files on this sd card that I need, or can I just swap back my stock VZW one without loosing root.

I have issued the ClientLogin request and get an authorization token.I can tell the authorization key is working because if I do not pass that header, I get a 403 instead. I'd like to have the Android SDK docs installed on my Nexus 7 so I can RTFM while away from the office. After downloading them using the SDK Manager within Eclipse I've tried copying the guide, reference, and assets directories onto the tablet and accessing the index.html files with Chrome, but the navigation doesn't work properly and things are incredibly slow. (The links within are relative, so they resolve, but it's still unusable.)
I have also not been able to find a PDF file that contains the SDK docs, though you'd think that would be an obvious resource to have around.

Turn the vibrator on. Parameters milliseconds How long to vibrate for.
However the behavior I am seeing is not what is described. Instead of a number of milliseconds, it seems this parameter translates into an "intensity"?
I tried: vibrator.vibrate(200);
And I got a sustained vibration which didn't stop until I exited my app. Initially I thought perhaps the api docs were wrong and the parameter was seconds, not milliseconds, so I tried: vibrator.vibrate(2);
This time I got the same behavior, i.e. continuous vibration, but the vibration was very gentle.. almost in-perceptible. This leads me to conclude that the parameter translates into an intensity, not a time.
Is it possible that this is a "feature" of the particular device? In my case HTC Desire.
I'm running 2.1 as my crappy telco hasn't distributed an update to 2.2, but it worries me that this behavior may differ from device to device.
