In my application i want to get the weather report I'm using http://www.google.com/ig/api?weather="" for that by providing a city. But for me only lat and longitude is available
How can I get the place name by lat and longitudes.

I am looking for the best way to provide an audible speech component for my Android application (Eliza Mobile Therapist game). Is the Android TTS (text-to-speech) API viable at this time? I want to call a function from my Java code with the spoken text and hear it (hopefully in different voices/dialects) on the phone. Is this technology currently possible?

Lets say we have a PAID app - "x-some". 1000+ users downloaded and using it, before 28-Feb-2010. we stopped for some reason from 01-march-2010, by "unpublishing the app" from market.
however, we found some bug in x-some and want to fix it and also to be available to only 1000+ users who already downloaded it. We dont want this app to be seen by new users. Only old users( who downloaded this paid app), should be able to view it and download the new fix.
In my application findlocation options is there.can u please help me how to find out the corresponding map by providing the country,city,street or pincode.

I recently received my Hero's upgrade to 2.1 and have been very happy with the Google Navigation software! However, it's an obviously big drain on the battery, what with requiring GPS and all, so I bought a generic USB car charger from eBay for 99p. It does indeed charge the phone, but not fast enough! I even get an error on the screen telling me that the charge is not enough to stop my battery level falling.
So my question is, are all usb chargers the same? I notice it's also a very slow charge from the PC too and takes a few hours to charge the phone, whereas it only takes 45 mins or so from a wall socket. Can anyone confirm that if I spent ?20 on a 'decent' car charger it will charge fast enough to actually charge the phone while using Google Navigation?..............

When I try to launch market place with id of an application say com.mybrowser.android by throwing an intent android.intent.action.VIEW with url: market://details?id=com.mybrowser.android, the market place application does launches but crashes after launch.
Note: the application com.mybrowser.android doesn't exists in the market-place.
MyApplication is my application.

I have a list view and want to put stuff both above(on the y axis) and below(y axis) it including images, text views, and a row of buttons. Below is a simplified version of what I am creating. Does FrameLayout support this? If not, should I use an intermediate ViewGroup to achieve this? My initial idea was to add an AbsoluteLayout to the FrameLayout and place the view inside the AbsoluteLayout. Unfortunately I just found out that AbsoluteLayout is deprecated.
