Android :: Eclipse Jar Export Script

Jun 18, 2010

I have a shared project that I'd like to split up in Eclipse. It's an android shared library which some packages should just be jar files others need to be smaller shared libraries. What is the best way to handle this other than manually creating smaller projects? Also is there a way to create a script to create exported jar files from eclipse if I gave it a project path?

Android :: Export / Import Shared Preferences

Mar 25, 2010

I would need to export the shared preferences and load it on another device. Is this possible in a direct way somehow? (without exporting the keys one by one and writing to a custom file) Another question is that there is any XML parser which has the same functionality like SharedPreferences (getstring/addstring, getint/ addaddint etc.) and saves/loads the result to a path anywhere? (sdcard for example) I know SharedPreferences uses some xml's in the background but that xml is not readable as a file without admin rights as far as I know so it's not quite suitable for what I need.

Android :: Ability To Export Memos In Reasonably Transportable Form

Jun 5, 2010

I'm a Palm refugee who is looking for some sort of memo app for storing dozens of snippets of miscellaneous information. My research so far suggests that my (seemingly modest) list of essential requirements isn't ticked by any existing application, I guess I'm just posting to get confirmation of this, or to see whether I'm missing something! Two requirements:
- ability to sync with something, so that most of the maintenance of the memos could be done on a keyboard and proper screen. Ideally I'd rather this was a desktop application on my own PC for privacy, but it seems like an attachment to privacy marks me out as some sort of relic of a bygone era, so I'm prepared to compromise on cloud synchronization.
- ability to export memos in a form which is reasonably transportable, eg a CSV file. Again, call me hopelessly old-fashioned, but I would no more put all my data into an application which has no exit route than I'd put all my money into a bank which doesn't like customers to make withdrawals. As I say this doesn't seem unduly demanding, but I think current technology is some way behind my brief shopping list. I suppose I'd quite like the ability to import Palm memos (from a CSV file), but I've given up on making such demands and I'd be prepared to spend the evening cutting and pasting by hand for the right app!In short, as far as I can see, Evernote ties you into some bizarre database of their own with no way out, Note Everything has no sync or export facility, and nor does 3banana. So it looks like I'll be carrying my Palm around unless someone can tell me differently!

Android :: Export The Phone Call List To SD Card?

Dec 29, 2009

After I got the message with <a href=tel:+4369917343674>Roland Msl</a> to link a telephon number by thml, I make big plans to have my mind2 database on my phone. Usual when I make a phone call, I put this with some remarks in my database. But when I am underway only with my Android, the best possibility would be to have the phone call list exported from the phone to update my database at last with time and duration of calls to perons in my database

So the most important question to orgaise now is: How to export the call list to the SD-card
BTW is there also a navigation link syntax? Maybe something like <a href="nav:A-5082 Gartenau Drachenlochstrasse 1c/5>My home address</a> And when I click on the Link, the navigation software opens with the clicked address as target.

HTC EVO 4G :: XML Export - Convert To Text?

Nov 1, 2010

I have been using a few Task/To Do list apps most of which export in XML format. My question: NOW WHAT?? I was clueless about the use of XML except its use with databases and did a little research on the web but can't seem to figure out how to use it or convert it into a useful form for me. Is there a way to take the XML file and convert it to text?? I just don't quite know what to do with the XML file...

I need an app to export text threads to a word or quick office document (for legal issues). If this isn't possible I don't mind exporting all of them and just deleting what I don't need (I don't get that many SMS anyway).

Now I've managed to export a vCard file from my phone and have imported the contacts into Gmail. The only problem is that contact photos have not been ported over..So how can I export contacts from my phone WITH the pictures as well ?

Or, alternatively, where on my phone filesystem does Android store contact pictures ? I can then bring them to my PC, and manually add them to Gmail contacts quickly ..

My Hero (latest Tmobile firmware version) is getting really slow, and I'm thinking of doing a factory reset on it. However, I would like to export the text messages, into CSV format or similar. Any readable format would do. I have always done this with my Nokia phones before. Does anyone know a way to do this? I like the phone (besides the camera) but it is getting slow, despite using taskiller, only installing about 7 market apps ever, and clearing the cache of those apps regularly.
