General :: Install Quad Core Firmware On Dual Core CPU?
Feb 12, 2014I just want to know a couple of things (NOT that I would ever try this myself but im interested in the info).
1) Is it possible to install quad core firmware on dual core tablet?
2) Is it possible to 'spoof' the android system into thinking 2 CPUs are 4?
3)If you install dual core firmware on quad core machine will 4 cores or 2 show up?

There is a static table in test script which defines the various test timming. This table has hard coded values for al lthe expected results. Does this table have to be changed based on the platform whether its a Dual Core or single core? It's always failing with timeout errors.
We believe these errors are to do with how the nano seconds are measured. We have been seeing some issues regarding the API System.nanoTime(); when we run on a Dual Core architecture.
Has anyone seen problems with this API on a dual core architecture?

Feb 8, 2014I have a Polaroid 7'' Dual Core PMID702DC tablet with Android 4.1.1 Jelly Bean and I can't turn on Wi-Fi! When I turn it on, I got to Settings > Wi-Fi and it says that it's on but the button is gray and on the right it says 'Turning on Wi-Fi' but it doesn't turn on and a few minutes later it goes back to Off! I've whacked it on the back a few times and it doesn't turn on! What do I do?

General :: Onda Vi40 Dual Core Bricked?
Jul 10, 2013I've bricked my Onda Vi40 while updating it to 4.1 with clockworkmod recovery. I used the files that I've found from a forum post, but after flashing a file, an error occured (I can't remember the error message) and now, my tablet is stuck in clockworkmod. Also, I can't mount external sdcard, error messages appears as follows:
error mounting /sdcard!
error mounting /sd-external!
At my computer's device manager, the device can be seen as "GT-I9100" device, seems like a Samsung Device. I've found and tried to install the device drivers, but it's unsuccessful too.
As a result, my tablet stuck at clockworkmod recovery, it can't mount any sdcard, i have no access to internal memory.

Its been nearly an yeaar since android is relmore than an year since android phones have been released and still there is such slow progress. iPhones allows developers from most of the countries to publish their apps and customers from any country can buy the same, i think they can even do it through itunes.I think this is going to hurt the progress and development of android big time.
