I visit a couple of websites which utilize pop-ups for additional information. These used to pop-up in earlier versions of Dolphin, but the capability is no longer there. Popups are enabled in system settings.

Just thought I'd share that I downloaded Dolphin HD and it really is quite different from the stock browser. Seems faster, has nice features for eBay and Amazon, and just like how it handles. Maybe because it's different.
Question for Dolphin vets: I use the bookmarks widget as one of my homescreens, and when I click a bookmark, it does it via Dolphin. Fine. But when I click on the little globe at the top, it defaults to the stock browser. How do change this to be Dolphin? I've looked under Settings > manage apps, but nothing really asked me about which browser to make default.
I just wanted to let everyone know that LastPass now has a plugin that works with Dolphin HD. I've been testing it and it seems to work really well.

So as Dolphin users, we have more choices now. Personally I prefer the red one because I like strawberry very much. Looks very sweet. Are there DivX codecs for the Dolphin HD browser? I have found some sites where I watch tv shows, megavideo is good but you can only watch so much before you can't watch anymore so I found another that actually has better quality but there files are divx files, I need some codecs like I had to get for my computer. I got Rockplayer but that does not work to stream them.

There are tabs that come out if you sidescroll preventing me from sidescrolling the page also preventing me from selecting text. Anyone know how to disable or work around this?

I know how I could do this manually but would like to find an automated way so that I can always keep them in sync, does anyone know of one? I was wondering if there's a location on the filesystem where dolphin stores all the bookmarks, I did look but couldn't find one. It would just be nice to be able to click a bookmark and have the browser open at that page rather than open the browser, go to bookmarks and then find and open the particular bookmark.

Is there a way that I can still use the default 'Bookmarks' as I Luv that widget rather then having to keep going into 'Home' in 'Dolphin' to find my bookmarks. I see that we can import bookmarks from default browser to Dolphin but not the other way. Maybe I am missing something but if anybody can show me a way so that I can continue using my default bookmarks widget using 'Dolphin'

Is there any way to keep my dolphin HD bookmarks synchronized with the bookmarks I use in chrome? I always found it very helpful, since I use chrome (and chromium) in at least three different computers and I never have to worry about my bookmarks because when I change them in one of the browser's instance, the other ones just change, having all the same ones. How to do the same on an android system?

But at times I want to use the Stock Browser, I'll just open up "Internet" but when I get there and click on a link from within the Stock Browser, it'll open it up and move me to Dolphin. I pretty much want to say "Hey, if I open up the Stock Browser, I want to use it but otherwise use Dolphin for everything else".

View 10 Replies View RelatedI just did a backup/factory reset/restore and I used my backup. It didn't backup my dolphin browser I lost the app completely along with my bookmarks. It didn't restore my more widgets app. My ringtone and notification sound were all wrong. It didn't restore my handcent settings. I an very disappointed in this app. I was expecting it to be just like before the rest by the way people talk about it like its a godsend. All it did was put a few apps back on my phone. Plus it took forever to do what little it actually did! I could have done that in the same amount of time by me just by writing down the app names!

Well i love the browser itself, but I tried downloading a ringtone from myxer.com and it says it cant finish downloading because i need to clear space on my phone. But i have space and i tried using the stock browser and it worked fine.

I have my Dolphin bookmarks set to sync with my Google account. When I tell it to sync, I don't receive any errors. It tells me downloading bookmarks / uploading bookmarks.
However, when I go to my Google bookmarks, I don't see anything. I am going here:
