View 1 RepliesI've experienced two problems with Google Voice that are causing me to get charged minutes I wouldn't usually get charged. If I can't solve them, I'll have to go back to using my Verizon number. First, let me say that I'm using a new Google Voice number that isn't Verizon cell phone number or any other preexisting number. Second, my girlfriend is on my family plan, but she doesn't have GV yet. We're using the 700-minute plan, so we don't have a friends circle.
Problem 1: When I call my girlfriend's Verizon wireless phone using the GV on my Verizon phone, I get charged, and when she calls my GV number on my Verizon Wireless phone from her Verizon wireless phone, she gets charged. We don't cash in on our free in-network calling. I know, this should have been obvious, but it just never occurred to me until after I looked at the bill. I'd be able to work with that, though, and just select "Call without using Google Voice" or whatever when calling her if it weren't for the second problem. When people call my Google Voice number, I get charged when I don't answer. Usually, it's just a one-minute charge, but sometimes it's two or three minutes (don't know why). With anything less than an unlimited plan, minutes count. Not good.
A few months ago Google sent top market developers a feww phone (Droid or Nexus).I was one of them and received a Droid.I just now called in to activate the Droid on my Verizon account and was told that it is not activated. They said that the ESN number is tied to a business account and currently active.Verizon said the only thing I can do is to contact Google, who sent me the phone, and work it out with them. The paperwork with the phone came with no numbers or email addresses.I have tried calling the Nexus support line, they could not direct me anywhere. I have tried emailing the automated robots that sent me emails about the phone. Is there anyone at Google that I can contact that would be able to help with this?
View 2 Replies View RelatedBasically, i use my personal cell phone for work and personal use, i have multiple exchange accts that keep things sorted and seperated.
recently though i have been getting more and more business calls to my cell phone, during and outside of normal business hours.
what im looking for is an app that will take a selective group of contacts/phone numbers/CID strings and if it is a "business" call then forward it to a specific phone number (external number, the actual business line).
I have seen apps on the market and around that will forward calls to voicemail if they match certain filters, but i cant really seem to find an app that will forward to an external number. Any way I could accomplish this?
I've had my Moto Droid since just after the release and since rooting and ROMing in January, I'm really becoming more obsessed. Cyanogen has had a huge affect (for the better!) on my Android experience. Just curious what phone you guys think has the biggest developer community. (I'm obviously going with DROID ). I'd love to also hear the opinions of those with multiple Android phone experiences.

View 2 Replies View RelatedI see on the Android SDK pages, it mentions some screen resolutions to expect on Android platforms:
Small screen
QVGA (240x320), 2.6"-3.0" diagonal
Normal screen
WQVGA (240x400), 3.2"-3.5" diagonal
FWQVGA (240x432), 3.5"-3.8" diagonal
HVGA (320x480), 3.0"-3.5" diagonal
WVGA (480x800), 3.3"-4.0" diagonal
FWVGA (480x854), 3.5"-4.0" diagonal
Large screen
WVGA (480x800), 4.8"-5.5" diagonal
FWVGA (480x854), 5.0"-5.8" diagonal
Obviously, testing an app you want to sell on all these resolutions is going to be a pain. Is there any data on what percent of android phones being used use the above resolutions? My hope is that there's only really 3 or so popular resolutions...

Currently when i plug in a usb otg cable the phone screen goes blank and no buttons work, its only after you plug in the charger cable the phone comes back on again. View 13 Replies View RelatedI would like to forward all calls to my number on to the new predefined number automatically. Is it possible to forward incoming call? Probably it is possible for Froyo at least. I found application called Easy Call Forwarding. But many people reckon it dosen't work actually. We can notice forwarded call by onCallForwardingIndicatorChanged() from PhoneStateListener but I have no idea how to set forwarding mode.

View 2 Replies View RelatedAs we know, bluetooth-related APIs was not included until version 2.0. And the current condition is Droid is the only 2.0-supported choice. I've known there are many kinds of unofficial 2.0 build, but are they stable enought to program? Does anybody has the experiences of programming bluetooth on a non-Droid handset? What is it, and what is the version of your OS? Did you hear of whether G1/magic/hero/tattoo is going to support eclair officially or not?
View 6 Replies View RelatedI have been searching about the floating point support on G1 phone (aka the HTC Dream phone) for a few hours.
So far, my conclusion is that the ARM-based Qualcomm MSM7201 CPU does not have VFP (floating point coprocessor) and therefore floating point calculations have to be done via software-float.
This is quite disappointing as I am interested in developing applications with heavy math.
However, I also notice that the Qualcomm CPU has QDSP4000™ and QDSP5000™ high-performance digital signal processors (DSP), according to http://www.qctconnect.com/products/msm_7201.html
Therefore, here is my question: would it be possible to leverage the DSP modules in the MSM7201 CPU to do the floating point math?
Also, I would like to develop the heavy-math modules in C/C++ and call it via JNI, and so I just want to double-check whether this is a feasible approach.
I would like to know if Android have PictBridge and DLNA support, if the board vendor decides to supports it?

<viewBoundScale>0.75</viewBoundScale>

<LatLonBox>

<east>182.2805</east>
<west>120.6795</west>
