These frameworks want to make it easy to make apps using web technologies and PHP i would argue is one of the biggest web technologies, but I'm not seeing much (if any) support. I am new, so I could be wrong on multiple levels. So please enlighten me and let me know if what I am trying to achieve is possible.

However, I thought that it may be of interest to Android fans/developers looking for some viable statistics. The sales data are estimates, and we'd like feedback from developers on accuracy via our methodology. If you do have an app on the Android market place, we'd love to see how your stats compare to what we have in our data base - from what we've seen, most of our stats are within +/- 10% of actuals, but we're always looking for feedback!

Easiest method to have this recovery for a rooted phone is below.
1.Install mobile uncle tools from Play Store.
2. Place the recovery.img provided in root of SD card.( Rename the recovery file as simply RECOVERY.IMG)
3. open mobile uncle tools and flash the recovery.
The other ways may be followed from this link of Dextrorototrix

Full credit for this Recovery goes to Yuweng who created the auto tool CWM Magic Create [URL] found in this link [URL], and Carliv who created the recovery that made it so easy to port to new devices, Napster who shared his touch source with Carliv, and of course the original creator of CWM - Kouch. It took many hours of hard work to get us to where we are today.
I've set up reminders for home and work. On some occasions I will get the reminder after I have been at the location after an hour or more, and sometimes I don't get notified at all? It's showing my location accurately on the phone- just the reminders aren't working correctly. Is this actually working? I mean, if you go to a location wtih a reminder, do you a) get a reminder, and b) a reminder right away- not hours after you've arrived at the location? I need to determine if it's not working yet, or if I may have an interfering app... I'm running stock JB 4.1.2 with Verizon on a Samsung S3 phone.
View 1 Replies View RelatedI have a few Android devices and I play around with them quite a bit - flashing ROMs, etc. - and there's one thing that tends to irk me: When setting up my Google account on the device, there's the following checkbox:
Bring apps, settings and other data that you previously backup up to your Google account
Is there any way to limit this to settings and other data? I've used a TON of Android apps, and there are many, free and paid, that I have no desire to use again. I know a more robust solution (Titanium Backup, etc.) is better, but I'm not always running with root and I'm not looking for extremely-fine-grain control. I simply want to skip installing apps I haven't used in months! I know I could simply uninstall the apps, but there are a ton. I'm willing to uncheck the box if I can get a clear understanding of what I'll be missing if I don't sync. I don't have much time to experiment with it at the moment. For example, I don't remember if known wi-fi networks are synced (compare to Windows 8, which does - if I remember correctly - along with tons of other data)
The OpenAPI program enables developers to access Sony Ericsson's APIs and content from the company and content partners and build rich features and capabilities into their own applications.
Commencing with the TrackID Charts API, the program will extend to cover more innovations and content including the recently announced Creations service.
We have created a developer portal for the OpenAPI program at api.developer.sonyericsson.com. The portal provides a rich set of services for developers, including documentation, case studies, and reports on how SEMC APIs are being used in developers' applications.
To use our OpenAPIs, including the TrackID Charts API, simply:
1. Go to api.developer.sonyericsson.com and register
2. Get the API documentation you need right there on the portal
3. Follow the procedure to get up and running

View 1 Replies View RelatedBelow are the only instructions i managed to find from google on how to install the android NDK, it is written as if we all run Linux and presumes we all understand what these obscure tools are. My comments and questions appear in Italics if somone who knows unix and windows would translate for google that would be great!
Android NDK Installation
Introduction:
Please read docs/OVERVIEW.TXT to understand what the Android NDK is and is not. This file gives instructions on how to properly setup your NDK.
I. Requirements:
The Android NDK currently requires a Linux, OS X or Windows host operating system. Windows users will need to install Cygwin (http://www.cygwin.com) to use it. Note that running the NDK under MSys is not supported.
You will need to have the Android SDK and its dependencies installed. The NDK cannot generate final application packages (.apk files), only the shared library files that can go into them.
IMPORTANT:
The Android NDK can only be used to target system images using the Cupcake (1.5) or later releases of the platform. This is due to subtle toolchain and ABI related changed that make it incompatible with 1.0 and 1.1 system images.
The NDK requires GNU Make 3.81 or later being available on your development system. Earlier versions of GNU Make might work but have not been tested.
You can check this by running 'make -v' from the command-line. The output should look like:
GNU Make 3.81 Copyright (C) 2006 Free Software Foundation, Inc.
...
On certain systems, GNU Make might be available through a different command like 'gmake' or 'gnumake'. For these systems, replace 'make' by the appropriate command when invoking the NDK build system as described in the documentation.
Great some strange thing called gnu make.. if your not going to tell me what it does maybe you then at least you could give me a URL to it?
The NDK also requires a Nawk or GNU Awk executable being available on your development system. Note that the original 'awk' program doesn't implement the 'match' and 'substr' functions used by the NDK build system.
Ok another tool, with 1 of 2 possible names, but not the third... and again where should i download this?
On Windows, you will need to install a recent release of Cygwin to use the NDK.
See http://www.cygwin.com for instructions.
Woohoo a URL! download took about a day because these install instructions do not specify what parts to download.
II. Preparing your installation prebuilt cross-toolchain binaries:
After installing and unarchiving the NDK, you will need to run the following
command from the root folder:
build/host-setup.sh
hello? windows dont run nothing but .exe .com or .dll, just tell me how you want me to run it..
This will test your setup and make sure the NDK can work properly.
Nothing is said about where any of these things need to be installed to (what directory)
But can I log into my Google account, and start creating my contacts? That way, when I get Evo and sync with Google, I should be able to transfer all my contacts, correct? (names, phone no., email, etc.) I am an Android newb, so someone please advise. I'm pretty excited and would like to manually start punching in my contacts to Google from my current WinMo (ugh) phone.

This is for people who use GPS a lot. Before I would create groups just for my texting, but Navigation works great too. Took a wine trip to Santa Barbara. Had a few places (hotel, boat cruise, wineries, Santa Barbara Mission, some restaurants, that taco stand Julia Child made famous, etc.), and just created a contact for each. No inputting on phone or using voice, it's already done.Had concert @ Hollywood Bowl. They have shuttle service at some offsite locations like the LA Zoo or in Studio City. I just create a group called Concerts, and copy and paste address from website.Meeting friend at bar never been to? Already have a Group called Bars. Just copy and paste address, and your done.I have groups for everything. Family, San Francisco, San Diego friends, Hotels, Bars, sporting venues, whatever. I cross link whenever I can, Just hit People and slide over to Groups. The whole goal for me is just to hit buttons, and not have to input anything when I'm on run. Use it like AppBrain. So much easier to manage everything from Google contacts page. Just copy and paste eveything.Best part is, can delete or add anytime. Also saves me battery since doing stuff on computer, and everything is synced automatically.
