I need to change the Android boot screen logo in an Android 1.5 device. But, I think the device is locked, as I can't uninstall any applications from 'Manage Application', since there is no 'Uninstall' button. Only 'Force Stop' button is there. Is it possible to change the boot screen when the device is locked?

I'm hoping it is and I'm just too much of a newbie to find how (spent all morning googling and checking forums add youtube) for a way to customize my 7 home pages. I have beautiful widget for the clock and weather but all 7 screens have the same wallpaper and lock screen. Also the icons could use a little bling Maybe even a banner.

View 2 Replies View RelatedI went to reboot my Droid because it was lagging a little and when it came back on it go stuck at the Cyanogen boot screen. I pulled the battery, put it back in and held the X to boot in recovery and my recovery won't come up either. It just skips right to the Motorola M and if it doesn't get stuck there it goes back to the Cyanogen screen.
I haven't made any changes to the phone at all so I am completely puzzled on why this is happening. I obviously can't take it back to Verizon since its rooted so if there is a way to fix this I really want to because I love my phone and my wife will kill me if it is screwed up.
LOCK screen aprears at the main screen, after boot the emulator boot up. I want to disable the locking at main screen, So that while next time i boot up my emulator not LOCK screen apears. Can any body suggest me best solution for this?

View 2 Replies View RelatedI really like having a clean homescreen and I don't really like having to navigate far for my most used apps.On my main screen I have the Beautiful Widgets Flip clock and weather widget, the one that takes up two rows.And as I said, I like things clean, so I'd like to be able to see my background so I don't want to clutter the space with icons.So what would be the best way to make, clear, or near transparent icons for my apps? I thought about Better Cut, but still I need the actual pictures of my apps to like photoshop them. Tried rooting so I started off flashing r8 of bh_man's 1.6 rom. Went through the setup, odin turned blue to pass and I let the phone run past the android system and then the screen turned off.
Thing about it is that the phone is still being detected by the computer and odin. It's like my phone is on a screen lock but not responding to when I push unlock.
Ive tried every custom rom and each one does the same. I try to go back to stock and most of the time the program closes, when it doesn't I try to flash it and it goes through the process but goes on forever. One time I let the timer go on for 2 hours and it was still on 5/9 completed.
My device is rooted, i was installing an app that tweaks performance which needed drivers to be downloaded / installed. As soon as i clicked that driver download / install button the device immediatly shut down. Now i'm stuck on its boot logo (Its a Chinese tablet powered by a RK3066 Chip / android 4.1.1) I tried (Holding power + volume down) = Dead android logo with red exc. mark on top / (Holding power + volume up) = Nothing / (Holding power + both volume up and down) = Dead android logo with red exc. mark on top / (Leaving dead android logo for a couple of minutes) = resets and logo is still stuck.
I have no custom anything . I did not do anything with the root except download apps.
I also do not have linux.
When the tablet is plugged into the PC when the dead android is displaying , it detects, but that is it, i cannot browse it what so ever.
All recovery methods in the tablet are (dead android logo)
OK, one day I was able to open a Genymotion device, but later that day I wasn't. Reason?
When I opened a terminal (using CrunchBang Waldorf) and ran Genymotion, it would work fine, but then when I booted a Samsung Galaxy S4 4.3 , it would bring up the device fine, but it would get stuck on that "Android" screen, with the light going across.
I waited for a few hours, only to come back to the same message. I would open up the .Genymobile/genymotion-player.log using cat in terminal. The results?
[Genymotion Player] [Debug] Output command: "0%...10%...20%...30%...40%...50%...60%...70%...80 %...90%...100%"
So I tried running it through VirtualBox, giving me "untracked pid exited ____" with a number 100+ in the ____.
Other devices work fine, including SGS4 4.2.2, but SGS4 4.3 doesn't work.
I'm kind of new to Rooting and ROMs but I keep getting the same problem while installing ROMs using ROM Manager. I flash and then I install the ROM and everything goes well until the boot up screen. It gets stuck in a loop of the Droid and Droid Eye animation (For over 10 minutes) and I have to restore it. Can anyone help me figure out what's wrong? I am using the Droid with Froyo, rooted using Easy Root.

Droid Den - Phone Guide: How To Install Rooted Android 2.2 On Your HTC Desire - Droid Den. It went through applying the ROM but now I just have it stuck on the o2 splash screen and going no further. Can't seem to find a backup.zip anywhere on my ROM and thought to back out the change. What's the best way to go? Re-flash again?

View 13 Replies View RelatedMy friend gave me this tablet because he couldn't get it to work, and now I'm trying to fix it. I'm pretty sure he tried to root/install google apps on it, but not exactly sure what he did and did not do.
I started by trying to just reset the firmware by booting into recovery and choosing a factory install. It was not able to do it because of an error reading the cache files. There was also an option to reset the cache files, but this threw the same error. Because of this, I also cannot install from an SD card. Along with this, USB debugging had not been enabled, so I can't use ADB to sideload a new bootloader or firmware onto it.
I have an android tablet (I'm not really sure what brand it is, but on the back it says m706b) that does not boot anymore.... it just sits at the "loading..." screen. Can I factory reset the device somehow?

View 5 Replies View RelatedFirst android phone and am trying to use google voice for as much as I can, working decent so far, but several issues have come up, if anyone can address them.
1) Anytime Google voice is open, SMS notifications occurr basically instantaneously. Sometimes when it is not the open app, notifications for messages do not appear for up to 30 minutes (you can tell from the timestamps). I do not see any options about syncing frequency in the google voice app. Is there any way to rectify this?
2) SMS notification sounds. I can't find any way to make custom tones for each contact. The typical solution I've read is to use a custom SMS app, but can't do this with voice. Any workarounds?
3) Are there any 3rd party apps that handle any aspects of google voice SMS or customization? Some searches found nothing.Overall I'm pretty happy with using voice as my SMS, just want to make it as good as I possibly can.
