I have had mini pro for about a week now and have NEVER been able to download anything from the android market. It just hangs at the "starting download" phase and never changes. Any ideas in simple terms as how to resolve this.
I am unable to download and update free apps from the Android Market on my Xperia X10 since the last 15-20 days. Can anyone help me with this problem? I am facing a lot of issues due to non-availability of many already installed apps and also I am unable to download and use new apps.
I rooted my phone a few days ago to remove all the useless apps that the phone comes with. I basically got ride of a code reader, some stupid games, and a bunch of "trial version" applications. I just noticed now that I can't download apps from the Android Market anymore, and this is probably what caused it. Everything else on my phone still works perfectly. When I try to download an app from the Android Market, I select the app to be downloaded, press "Install", then press "OK" when it gives me the list of what the app has access to. Once I press "OK" a popup appears that says "Your Item Will be Downloaded". That's it. Nothing appears in the notification bar, and the download doesn't go at all. So I guess my question is. what would I have deleted to cause this problem? I unrooted my phone again since. Maybe a google app or something? And if so, I need the APK for it! Yeah, yeah I was an idiot, I know. Don't mention it. Here's what I've tried so far after searching this issue: - Cleared the cache and updates for all Google-related apps
I have owned my x10 pro for a month or so and have downloaded various apps from the android marketplace but recently apps start to download but then I get a "download failed" message, I have tried numerous times and changed settings etc but still no joy. I think this has happened since the option to buy apps appeared on the android market, I have seen other forums with users reporting similar problems whats up? and when will the problem be fixed?
Since last night (let's say about 36 hours) I haven't been able to download/update anything from the android market. Is just a problem with me or is the market down at the moment. Most frustrating. I really want to get a bookmark organiser.
Over the last few weeks I tried to download or upgrade apps but it always fails. I always get the message: "Download was unsuccessful please try again". When I go to the android market and look at the help front page there is a link called "Download Issues Troubleshooting page". The fix described in here does not work for my phone.How do I make my phone work properly again.Also, I am on Android 1.6 but I cannot upgrade to 2.2. The PC Companion says that I have an up to date phone.
From yesterday, i am unable to install any new apps or update old apps from the market..when i press update/install it says update un successful and the app is also removed. any idea about this problem?
I am using xperia x10 mini pro, android 2.1 updated, when i try to login to my android market via my gmail id it is saying that you have problem with Internet connection but my Internet connection is working fine.
Just few days back I downloaded and installed few apps from Market. But now, I can browse the apps in Market, but everytime downloading fails (for any and every app).I am using wi-fi for this. Internet works fine. I can download files (images) from my email without any problem.I did not make any changes as far as I know.
I have updated my X10 mini to Android 2.1.Every thing seems working fine except the Android Market app.I can search, and browse Android Market.But I am failing to download ANY app from the Market.The download icon does appear; but after a while it says "download paused".I searched through different forums and found that one very common suggestion is to boot the phone by pressing "Power" and "Home" key.No luck by booting either. Can some one please suggest some remedy for the problem?
I want to install some applications from the Android market, but every time my X10 mini says the download/installation failed. I tought this was related to a glitch in the software so I wanted to restore the settings by means of the PC Companion, however this also crashes and only returns the sony ericson support email ...
Can anybody help me? I have a Sony Ericsson Xperia X10 and the Market App will not allow me to download new apps. It just says 'Download was unsuccessful,I have tried to Clear the Data in Download Manager, but it didn't work.
All of a sudden apps stopped being able to be downloaded or updated from the market place. They just stay on the 'starting download...' status which is rather irritating. I've tried clearing cache and resetting the market and know i've a master reset as a last chance option but has anyone any ideas before I do this?
I've just downloaded the latest update to my phone and I'm now unable to download any apps. I can select the app to download but when i select it the phone says 'starting download' and doesn't actually download anything.
I have been trying to down load "beautiful widgets" since yesterday with no joy. It says purchased in the downloads but will not install. I have had confirmation of purchase by email. I downloaded random free ones for qurio and all ok but purchased one just wont load. Any ideas.
I created a gmail account when I got this phone purely because it asked me to (usually I use hotmail), then started a new job, where my boss said she uses gmail to communicate. Everytime I checked my gmail on the phone it woudn't tell me MY email address, (because, I shoulda known it) but I couldn't remember what it was, so I made a new gmail account, and started using it at work. I didn't want to have two accounts so when I found out what the original account was (in the phone). I went online on my computer and deleted the account, intending to replace it with the newer one. However since deleting the old email account, I can no longer update any apps, or buy any new apps. It continously asks for the old gmail's password, but won't accept it when I've entered it.
I have been trying to update from 1.6 to 2.1 these last few days. Depending on the USB port I either get an error when PC Companion, or Update Service is in the preparation stage, something like: All components needed to continue could not be found. Or I get to the stage when you turn off the phone and restart it with the backbutton pressed which leads to XP wanting to find drivers for SEMC usb flash. By looking through other communities I found those drivers could be found in: C:Program Files (x86)Sony EricssonUpdate ServicesetupdriversUSBFlashDriver.zip. I could initually install those to one USB port, but when trying to download the update through Update Service I get yet another error that the task could not be completed.
I have a mini pro...i had issues earlier as i didnt have an active data connection on my mini pro..but nw as i have it...not one inbuilt app is working! Facebook,gmail,gtalk,android market,youtube etc. dont work at all..Each of them gives an error that you dont have an active connection! All of the above does open via the normal browser on mini pro..but not through these builtin apps!
