Nexus :: YouTube Installation Unsuccessful - App Fails To Download
Oct 27, 2010
I'm very excited by prospects of Gingerbread being on the horizon and possible new nexus! Can anyone help with the reason why the YouTube app may not download successfully? I am on version 1.6.21 by cannot update to latest version.
I'm rooted running chevy's simply stunning 4.9. I've noticed some of my apps I have installed doesn't show as installed on the market. So I wasn't receiving updates for it. I click on the app and click install and it reinstalls onto my phone with no issues. However my youtube app doesn't fare as well. It downloads but install is always unsuccessful.
Second problem is with my speaker. I've got the gba emulator and occasionally play some pokemon fire red. This phone I currently have is a refurb replacement. My first had a bad headphone jack. I was able to play on my first one with volume on full blast without it being all raspy, unfortunately my replacement one I currently have cannot do it past half volume.
I wiped my phone and flashed the latest cm nightly for my N1. I started reinstalling some apps that I had already paid for. Some worked, but other paid apps did not install. I received the 'installation unsuccessful' error message after the app was downloaded from the market. Swiftkey, ProcessManager Full, 360 Live, Rom manager premium, and iSyncr all failed to install properly. I have tried clearing the market cache and rebooting but the error persists. Not really sure what to do anymore. Has anyone gotten around this problem?
So over the past few days the apps ive tried to download dont even start to download, I then turn my phone off and back on again and they start to download, then start to install, but just as i think its done i get a notification saying ''Installation unsuccessful''.
I have 14MB of phone memory left so ive constantly got the low on space icon in the notification bar but i have ample space for the certain apps i wish to download. Have i without realising fiddled with a certain setting or something?
I am having a problem when I download games or try to update some games, the game will download just fine but when installing them I get the Installation unsuccessful error.bought MiniSquadron! and Baseball Superstars2010 awhile back installed just fine then and now I got to update it wont let me. No biggy because I still could play the games. But now I go to install Angry Birds, I can't play it because it fails. Its just really starting to annoy me. My brother girlfriend has an Inc and she installed Angry Birds just fine.Is anyone else having this problem? Should I just take it to Verizon so see how far that gets me?
Our customers are seeing these errors a lot when purchasing our apps, and other than suggesting a few workarounds(unmount sd card etc), I'm not sure theres anything i can do to fix the issue. Is anyone aware of anything that might be causing it from the app developer side? Obviously our app uploaded fine, and the majority of users can download and install it just fine, but we're seeing this problem a lot and losing a lot of sales because of it. If theres something that we're somehow getting wrong in our app, i'd love to be able to fix it! It seems to be related to Android 2.2 and installing to the sd card Any ideas?
I recently Upgraded my captivate to 2.2. all paid apps seemed to work and download just fine, And all the free apps i had i re downloaded without any problems. but when i went to download Reckless Racing again it will not let me install it.It downloads fine, And when it tries to download it. it gives me an error saying installation unsuccessful.I tried all the fixes relating to that problem like clearing cache on the market app via. settings > applications >
hi i am currently unrooted Droid X after i recently restored my phone using the 2.2 SBF. i redownloaded most of my old applications but a few of them for some reason will just not install and i just get the yellow /! mark that says "install unsuccessful" everytime. specifically angry birds and i few other paid apps do this to me and i really want to install them. i tried clearing market data and cache in settings but still did not work. so any help with this?
I recently been having problems with my apps being successfully update. I have cleared the data on the market app ,but after uninstalling certain apps that were giving me problems angry bird ,evac , and some other I can't do a fresh install and the unsuccessful installation problem still persist. I tried to install the angry bird apk but that doesn't work and since I have uninstall it won't let me install the app at all
I went to the Market today and noticed Google Maps was automatically updating (I'm using Froyo 2.2 on the Moto Droid). After it downloaded, it said Installing... then it said "Installation of Google Maps unsuccessful". When I go to the app in the market itself, it says "A manual update is required." However, when browsing the "Downloads" section, there is no "Update available" next to Google Maps. all it says is "free" as if its not even installing when it is indeed installed. Anyone know how to fix this issue?
I want to be able to download and install my app from my website, but when i do this at the moment i get the error:-
Download unsuccessful - Cannot Download. The content is not supported on the phone.
After looking into this it became apparent that the PHP Magic, that handles the downloads from the website, recognises the file as a .zip file rather then a .apk file and sends the it a .zip, that the phone does not recognise.
Does anyone know a way to get PHP Magic to recognise the file as an apk so that file extension does not get changed and the phone can recognise it?
I published my app on the market, and when I first tried installing it from there, I got the 'package file was not signed correctly' error. Uninstalling the unsigned version I was testing with let me install from the market with no problems. However, from the comments, it looks like no one else can install my application.
I've put other versions up that worked, and I used the same certificate, so I'm pretty sure it is not an issue with the validity days for the certificate.
The name of my application is Bloxors. It will be going up and down as I try to figure out what the issue is here, but if someone else who is getting the error can debug it it would be greatly appreciated.
I'm testing an app I'm developing and asked a friend to install on their device. I wanted to make it as easy as possible for them to help me out so I put the .apk up on my website for them to download to the phone (rather than making them download the SDK and use adb to install). The install of the downloaded .apk fails, complaining of a package conflict.
I have since gotten my hands on the phone briefly and I verified that: * they have selected "allow unsigned apps" in settings * there is no package with the same (or similar) name in data/data * installing via adb works with not a peep * when I download the .apk to my phone the app installs fine. It would be really nice to make it as easy as possible to distribute to people who might be willing to do me the favor of testing.
I just resuscitated an old laptop, wiped out the old corrupted XP, installed Ubuntu 9.1, installed Eclipse 3.5.1, installed the sun-java6- jdk from the Synaptic Manager, then I tried to install the ADT as described in http://developer.android.com/sdk/eclipse-adt.html, but the installation fails with the following message:
Cannot complete the install because one or more required items could not be found. Software being installed: Android Development Tools 0.9.5.v200911191123-20404 (com.android.ide.eclipse.adt.feature.group 0.9.5.v200911191123-20404) Missing requirement: Android Development Tools 0.9.5.v200911191123-20404 (com.android.ide.eclipse.adt.feature.group 0.9.5.v200911191123-20404) requires 'org.eclipse.wst.xml.ui 0.0.0' but it could not be found.
I am trying to download mp3 files from my file server onto my Droid. Everytime I try to download a song I get the error message Download Unsuccessful. I thought it was a problem with my server but all of my computers can download from it, and I just went and got my mom's Droid ERIS to test. It could successfully download mp3 files from the server. This is ridiculous, why wouldn't my Droid be able to download these files but the ERIS can? Is this a case of Droid DOESN'T?
Long time lurker, first time poster here. As a brand new andoid fan, I've learned a lot from everyone here and now I would love to get help for my problem. I have downloaded lots of apps, but now there seems to be a problem. When I click to download, nothing happens, and then an orange triangle appears with the words "download was unsuccessful, please try again." I have tried all of the suggestions out there, removing and replacing the battery and SIM card, turning Wifi off and back on, logging out of Google Talk (although I seem to be automatically logged back in w/out doing anything), using 2G, 3G and Wifi.
I am having problems when i recieve a photo in a text message, sometimes it will auto download but then it stops after a couple of days and i just get a message saying download unsuccessful. I have taken it in and had the phone re set but i want to know if there is another way to fix this problem from happening i am tired of loosing every thing or not getting my pics.
So this morning I did a factory reset and as I went about trying to re-download all of the applications that had been deleted; however, each app. that I have attempted to download keeps popping up with the message 'Download Unsuccessful.' I was wondering if anyone else had experienced this problem and if so how was it fixed? Also, I have always been gmail
