My phone was updated earlier today, and just now I realized a problem and need some help. If I am connected to wi-fi, and toggle off the wi-fi, it won't enter back into EV. My phone just goes without data network.

Is anyone else having issues connecting to mobile network?I'm running Fresh 2.1.2. My network hasn't connected any today. I can't even toggle the mobile network widget.When I go to Settings Wireless, Mobile network is grayed our and it says "Turning on..." below it.I saw in another thread to cycle the network off and on. I have to do this through a long press on the power button, but it doesn't ever connect.Is this a phone issue, or could there be network problems in my area?
View 4 Replies View RelatedI thought I would share my experience with my HTC Hero and its in ability to all the sudden connect to the network. I woke up today and my htc hero would not connect to the network. I may have powered my phone down for the first time in weeks last night and that what caused it to not be able to connect. Anyhow, the culprit?the "wheres my droid" application. I put this on my phone a month ago and I had problems with my phone, so I deleted it and a handful of other apps that I thought might have messed up my phone. Then I tried it again about a week ago, and just this morning my phone stop connecting to the network. As a result I deleted it cuz it was the last app i downloaded. Presto, my phone started working again I went to the sprint store and everything and they didnt know what was wrong with it and were about to switch me to a new hero. I said HOLD ON, I dont want a new phone and have to set it up all over again.

Your PCS vision username or password may be incorrect. I tried the fix that is on the website for the error code 67 but when I go to setting /about phone/ to the system software update I need web access to update the profile on my phone. So can anyone help me with this problem without havivg to call Sprint?

View 14 Replies View RelatedI had the stock ota 2.2 update...followed the 2.2 root exploit and eas running good, until i had problems with my sms text messaging and decided to revert back to stock and now i cant connect to sprint network. i called sprint customer service and had me do a bunch of reset and put in codes and still NO DICE! It is still showing "S-OFF" when i go to HBOOT.

I know i screwed up royally. My phone boots up to activate account but nothing happens. Is there anything else i can do? I'm going to Oakland tomorrow night for a vacancy and i would hate not having this bad ass phone with me as a DUD.
I have recently updated to KitKat 4.4.2. Now my phone isnt able to connect to my mobile data network. Internet access is only possible on WiFi now.

PS: I tried Android on-off widget but it only changed access points or something and that's not what I'm looking for.
I am using HTC Hero, and am using MTNL and BPL loop services. But I am not able to connect via GPRS or EDGE or HSDPA. the APN settings get connected but the mobile network state always displays "Disconnected". I have checked all possible things to get it resolved, but in vain. please see screen shot attached.

My HTC Hero connects fine with the wifi, to the wireless network I have in my house. Yet when im in school, the network is secured with a proxy server. On my computer I connect to this ip : port(which is written into the options in the browser), then the login pops op, and it works.
My phone on the other hand connects perfectly to the network, but cant get past the proxy. - Where do I type in the proxy ip, password etc.? Or is there a application that allows me to actually get to the internet on my phone on this network?
So I've been using my phone for a few days now, both at home, at work and a few other places around town. So far Sprint's network has been unusably slow.Is this normal?For instance, 3G seems to be capping out around .5mbps, often closer to .2mbps, with tons of packetloss. By comparison, on AT&T I was consistently getting 1.5 and 1.8 in the same areas.For anyone that had Sprint before the masses of early Evo adopters deluged Sprint's network, what was your experience?Does .5mbps seem about right?Am I just expecting too much?

Since I only have 250 MB included in my plan, I would much rather have the phone on wifi only when I'm at home Problem is, when I turn data network back on, it says "network not available". The only workaround seems to be turning the phone off completely and rebooting. SLOW.By the way, this happens both with the excellent app Quick Settings and the normal Parameters Phone App.I saw someone having similar issues regarding Wifi On/Offwith a Sprint Hero.

The phone didn't have any problems with this before the update.
Anyone had the same kind of problem, or anyone that has a smart fix for it?
I love my aria, i got it 9/29/10, for free from best buy because my contract expired... but ive already used 20MB and i only bought a 200MB plan... i might go to 2 gigs, but for an alternate, since my billing cycle ends the 28th of every month... if i disable application syncing, and mobile network from the hold menu... can i connect to my home wifi network, and go on the internet from there without that using any of my data plan?
View 5 Replies View RelatedI had been using Fresh Rom 2.0d by flipz since last night, and got everything setup, last night I had trouble updating the Profile and PRL so this morning I tried it again and succeeded the PRL update, unfortunately right after the PRL update the Sprint Network never came back. I can ROAM when I switch off Sprint Only but no Sprint Network.What can I do to resolve the issue? Tried resetting the phone to no help, pulled the battery and reset, also attempted to update PRL and Profile again but without Service it won't do either.

NOTE- I already tried ~Settings>Applications>Browser and then click the button Clear Cache and Clear Data then reboot your phone.~

He loves the phone but like I said will have nothing to do with Sprint network. So I am wondering if he has any options with using it on any other network by possibly flashing the phone or something.
I believe he has settled everything with Spring paid the early termination fees and payed up on his bills. So does he have any options now?

View 5 Replies View RelatedDownloaded CM6 R1 for Hero onto SD Card (had Fresh ROM) and then flashed CM 6 and Google apps as per instructions.
Everything seems top work well except that the phone/SD Card is not recognized when connected to computer with USB.
I found this out when I went to try tethering and PDA Net. Neither worked and then I realized the phone is not being recognized by the computer.
My computer at work tried to load some ADB drivers but errored out.
When I connect the phone to either of my 3 computers I either get no popup or a popup saying do you want to load ADB drivers (which errors out).
i have the newest firmware and everything is fine and i did read the "how to's" before posting this. i'm on sprint and i've got unlimited everything. i tried the "internet sharing" thing when i plugged it in to my computer (all htc sync software and drivers installed) and i kept getting a data call failure so i thought sprint disabled that feature. i was messing with the wifi on my phone and i connected to my router, then when i plugged it in i tried the "internet sharing" option again this time it worked. but, as in the "how to" it doesn't have the little 3g symbol beside the clock. all it has it the wifi symbol. so, is my pc connected to the internet via my phones internet or my home internet?

Everyday my mobile network goes on and off even inside my house. Im trying to do something and i realize i cant because my mobile network is off, i dont use wifi because i want to save battery life. This issue is very annoying because i dont know how to stop it, i want it to be ON always.
