Is there a way to get owner info on the lockscreen? For example, I'd like it to read "If found, please return this phone to MyName. Phone: xxx-xxx-xxxx, Email: MyName@gmail.com". Can this be done with the stock HTC lockscreen?Are there others that are as secure, but provide this extra functionality? I'm rooted, if that makes a difference.

I've tried a bunch of my own images as my lock screen, all set at what I've been told is the correct resolution, but they always come out looking pixelated, dull and blurry.The images look extremely crisp and bright when i preview them in the lock-screen selection area - but when saved, there's a huge difference in quality.The resolution which fits perfectly is 320x455, but pretty much everyone online says its 320x480 which I know to be wrong because you can see it clearly doesn't fit the screen when you're selecting it - and so it gets resized up.I've tried JPG, PNG, TIF.I've tried different sample rates, different color pallettes - nothing works.Even using the default HTC one (which looked gorgeous originally) - whenever I apply it now, it looks like it went through some 60% JPG compression.artifacts all over the place.

I recently flashed to fresh 2.1.2 and I found that the grey arch is back on my lockscreen. what Im wondering is if there is anyway that I can get rid of that grey arch WITHOUT using a vanilla style lockscreen (I like the simplicity of just the clock and which ever picture I choose)

View 8 Replies View Relatedwhen i had the thearmo theme on fresh 2.0d, the vanilla lockscreen was different..you could press menu as many times as you wanted and it would NOT unlock (which is exactly what i want since i always have my phone in my pocket) you had to swipe...i took off the theme and installed vanilla lockscreen and if you hit menu twice it unlocks..i installed DC rom and same thing with the lockscreen (even tried a few themes that came on the dc updater) is there a setting for this or was this only possible with the thearmo theme? basically im looking for a lockscreen that you have to swipe to unlock (i dont want password or draw a pattern)

I have tried a lot of patches and metamorphs all locking my phone and sending into force closes and boot loops. My question is is it possible to change the vanilla wallpaper on Fresh? Is there a way to find the wallpaper used and change it? If not I'll live with it. It looks much better then sense with fresh.
View 1 Replies View RelatedStarted with EXTBlue 09sept, had the phone freeze up a couple times when exiting sleep mode. Flashed a nightly over that, problem persisted. Also had it randomly restart a few times. From there, started over by wiping everything, and flashing a nightly (091710 I think). Still had the problem, found the so-called "6.1" update, wiped again and went with that. I still have the original problems, and now it's also freezing up on the camera screen. Otherwise happy with the performance and such, any suggestions?

I am running fresh1.1 and wanted the stock taskbar. So I flashed a stock them over it then a rosie from fresh1.1 to get the launcher back. got eveything I want except the lockscreen fresh came with. I found 2. One on xda but the link is broken. The 2nd from the geekforme site but it puts the taskbar back to the fresh one. Any one know where i can get one that doesn't do that?

View 3 Replies View RelatedIn my gmail account i have "my contacts" that are synced to the phone, and in there i have most of the contacts with all sorts of info like, address, birthday, anniversary, website, and all that jazz. when i sync it to my phone, i only get basic info like address, number and email. the birthday, anniversary and website don't syn. why is that and how can i fix that? i would hate to go through my phone and edit all that info manually in the phone. also, i read somewhere that you can choose what contacts from gmail are synced. if you go into people, then groups, hit menu, and then sync group you can choose what is synced (all contacts, my contacts, and whatever groups you have). i had that option before, and now it is gone.

As you can see from my sig below, I'm a longtime PalmOS user. webOS has some nice features, but unfortunately the PIM apps are a major step backward from the PalmOS versions. SO, now I'm considering switching from webOS to Android and the Sprint Hero. The key for me is finding some detailed description or screenshots or video that show how to create events in the Android calendar and how to manage tasks. I really need a step-by-step explanation so that I can judge whether Android will be more efficient than webOS in using the calendar. I do like what HTC has done with Sense and Scenes, which would help me keep my calendar more easily accessible than in webOS.

To install the rom I had to wipe the whole phone by going to the factory settings, which gets me to that menu asking if I want to flash. I do not want to reset my phone this time, just flash to this lockscreen. How do I do that?

You did not receive so you put the phone in your pocket before the lockscreen kicks in. After the meeting you noticed that while in your pocket you were able to move widgets, change scenes, delete scenes, etc.Now you have to figure out how things were.Does anyone know how to lock the screen right away without waiting for it kick in?
