Can any one tell me is X8 going 2 come in black color? There r some websites which says its gonna come in black color. I know that it may be rumors that is why I am asking it on this Forum. May be some official word.I want this phone but only in black.

View 1 Replies View RelatedSo I left my x10 charger at a friends house and I won't be able to pick it up till friday, so I tried using my families b;ackberry bold chargers (they all have blackberry bolds for some reason O_o) and I keep on getting the same result, it wont charge past 2 percent... :l Maybe the issue will be solved when I get my x10 charger back but until then im using a flip phone from 10 years ago (y)

View 8 Replies View RelatedReading the new hands on over at Tech Radar has got me pretty excited about the X10 - seems a remarkable beast. But they seem to suggest a lack of widget support on the device - leaving me in a quandery, I love the widget support of the HTC Hero (and its successors), but am truly tempted by the X10s larger screen, its Racheal/Time/Mediascape UI and camera technology.So far, has anyone noticed support for widgets on the device? Obviously certain widgets are redundant with Time/Mediascape, but news, weather widgets are a big draw for me.
View 2 Replies View RelatedI recently got an X10 on contract but got so annoyed by the fact that the x10 does not have a calendar as I have to sync with google mail (which i don't want to do). and the phone book is also sync'd to Gmail. I have a gmail account but don't use it that much. I only use it for gtalk with a few friends, 4 to be precise. I am a yahoo mail user. I found the internet connect brilliant and the timescape and mediascape very useful.
I then went on to order a samsung Galaxy S which I had tired in-store and really loved it. The camera is brilliant.. its way better the the X10. 3/4 of the applications on Galaxy i like especially the calendar as it the major application i use. The down side is It's network coverage is so poor. It does not matter if it's indoors or outdoors. the internet connection is so slow other than that the rest is fine.
what i would like help with is whether i can have some of the applications on Galaxy like calender, mini diary, layer,and live wallpapers on the Xperia x10. OR if i can have timescape and and media scape on the Samsung instead. I would keep the samsung and put up with the slow internet connection but would really love to keep the X10 if the above can be done.
Does anyone out there know if there is a way we can get a flash down loaded to ur handset for the camera as the photos i take are coming out really dark. shame really because when i take them outside in the daylight, the quality is Very good. if anyone knows i'd sure appreciate a reply.

It maybe that the glass panel is smashed but at least it is still on to access your data and the touchscreen still works too. The build quality is very good and is something I would look for in a phone anyway. Here is the link

I got the X10 mini pro today & so far so good however.The phone is a vodafone handset that has been unlocked. I have a 3 sim card in it that works but i can't access Planet 3 anymore. if i start the web application it will connect to vodafone & vodafone only. Is there any way i can access planet 3 again? Is there a setting i must change?

Can anyone possibly help me in locating a copy that I can transfer to my phone please?I know I can view the instructions online from my laptop or the handset itself but I would like to get them back on the handset just in case, any help would be greatly appreciated.

My x10 went onto a black screen and the unlock button does not work. The phone is on and fully charged but cant do anything.

Phone: Xperia X10i
FW: android 2.1
patterns - default slider + unlock pattern
Bug description
1) When phone is locked, press home or power button.
2) move slider, to be able to draw pattern.
3) Start to draw pattern and wait till screen goes black (do not remove your finger). So your pattern is not finished and screen has gone black. Try to remember place of the finger.
4) Press home or power button again.
5) Finish unlock pattern from place you was, when screen turned black.
6) Your phone is unlocked!
So, if you did not finished your pattern and your screen have gone black you might think, that the phone locked, but this is not true. Your Phone can be Quite Easily unlocked in the Pocket.
When I plays video recorded on my X10mini, about 5 second at the beginning it displays black. But I can hear the sound.

View 5 Replies View RelatedThis was reported in the other thread about X8 Issues, but thought to start a new one to gather feedback from users. It's about the ''black screen'' freezing issue encountered by some users. I have had this several times since owning the phone for a few weeks, so it is a recurring issue. Problem: The phone hangs or appears to be shut down or become unresponsive suddenly. Pressing the hardware buttons doesn't help as the phone doesn't react at all. Solution: Take out cover and battery and restart.Observations: From my own observations, it's not actually a shutdown but a major freezing/hanging. Sometimes when it happens, I can still see vague shades of the display at an angle. After leaving the phone for a while in the pocket, the phone comes back to normal again. Not sure if this is true for all users with this problem. Anyway, gathering more feedback to see how prevalent the problem is, to evaluate whether I should take it to the SE service centre, or whether doing so will help at all.
View 3 Replies View RelatedThe HTC Desire has been the first phone in a pretty long time to get me excited and make me think "I want one!" Doing research just adds to that statement! But I still have one dilemma preventing me from buying currently: what colour to get?! I know, it's something completely basic and non-technical, but could mean a great deal. The main colour is named 'Graphite', known as brown/bronze and many more variations! What exactly is this colour? It intrigues me, looking on the internet, it can look purple, brown, grey, black! This is obviously the most common of the Desires and can be picked up unbranded, with original firmware, etc.
Another option is a black HTC Desire. I gather the black, which I feel I like best, is an Orange-exclusive. Over-branding on their part, but I see black non-branded HTC battery covers are coming out soon, so not a biggie. Further, their over-excessive branded firmware can removed and have it clean clean. Finally is the recently-released Silver variation, 'limited-edition' as they said on eXpansys, but I believe this is a common colour in Holland. Looks nice, but the extra price tag seems a sort of over-kill - probably not worth it. Let me know your opinions on any of this and help me decide. Particularly your thoughts on the standard HTC Desire 'graphite' colour! And I have seen some people switch from the graphite to the black versions - again, let me know which one you like best!
What kind of ubs connector does the X10 handset use? It doesn't seems to be usb-mini or usb-micro
View 5 Replies View RelatedI am planning to buy a 32 gb micro sdhc card for my Xperia X10.However, I have found tons of confusing and conflicting information here on SE forums and all over the net.To my surprise, even Sony Ericsson itself giving conflicting information regarding this.On the product page of Xperia X10 (click this link and click on the specifications), it says that Xperia X10 supports microSD up to 16GB only.Whereas the official Sony Ericsson Xperia X10 White paper (on page no.5) says that it supports -microSD, up to 32 GB. (The Sony Ericsson Xperia X10 White paper can be downloaded from this link).Now i urge someone, preferably an SE moderator or staff, to enlighten on this matter and answer how and why SE is giving contradictory and confusing statements regarding the sd card capability and compatibility for the same product?.

First, you need to select Sony Ericsson as the default sync service:From the Home screen, tap the applications bar.Tap Settings > Data synchronisation > Select sync applicationSelect Sony Ericsson
But when I do this there is no Sony Ericsson option.
I was surprised that SONY is not providing a software which enables the user to sync the Xperia X10 mini pro directly with your computer (e.g. Outlook).
After wasting a lot of time I generated an account at Sony webpage and managed all my accounts including "birthday" but now I found out that the
phone is not creating a corresponding calendar entry and therefore my phone is not reminding me for any birthday.
So I did some modding (unfortunately) to the framework-res.apk file and it worked the first time and a few other times but then I changed something and now when I turn on the phone it freezes at the "Sony Ericsson" screen before the logo. What do I do?
I tried pushing the backup framework file but it says "failed to copy framework-res.apk to /sdcard/framework-res.apk: Permission denied
However, when I use adb devices, it does show my device as being attached.
So what can I do now?
I was also able to pull files...
Also tried manually putting the framework-res.apk in the sdcard and then using adb to copy it to the framework folder. Doesnt work. Saids that the directory cannot be open for read. I guess the device cant read the SD card until it boots up.
