Oct 19, 2010okay so i installed the app called handcent sms, but my other one is still on. (the Default one)
I was wondering if there is a way to turn off the default one so only handcent is in use.

Apr 16, 2010My Timescape widget is not updating and still shows an SMS I received almost a week ago as the most recent message with caption "2 hours ago". I have changed my facebook updates to "Update automatically = never" and not included in the main spline, but have SMS and emails regularly appearing which is what I want to see in the widget. Anyone else got similar issue, or even better anyone 'had' similar issue and found a fix they'd like to share? At the moment it's a big waste of screen space.

Feb 28, 2010Reading the new hands on over at Tech Radar has got me pretty excited about the X10 - seems a remarkable beast. But they seem to suggest a lack of widget support on the device - leaving me in a quandery, I love the widget support of the HTC Hero (and its successors), but am truly tempted by the X10s larger screen, its Racheal/Time/Mediascape UI and camera technology.So far, has anyone noticed support for widgets on the device? Obviously certain widgets are redundant with Time/Mediascape, but news, weather widgets are a big draw for me.

Sony Ericsson Xperia X10 :: Timescape Widget Appearance On Home Screen
May 24, 2010I just got my white X10 a couple of days ago and I'm loving it! Well, asides for one relatively minor issue which is the appearance of Timescape on the home screen. I really liked the transparent look Timescape had with the SE logo prior to setting up facebook and email, etc. Now there's usually someone's FB display picture or an email being displayed, which is nice and all but I don't really like having to it all the time. I'd much rather see it when I want to by just tapping the tile and entering timescape as I'm a fan of the clean look it had before the setup.
I was wondering if there was a way to change the timescape widget's appearance to what it was before I set it up without losing its functions. In other words I want it to work the way it is now but have it look the way it did on the home screen before I set it up. To illustrate what I mean, I would like to change timescape widget from looking like this:

(any suggestions)?Third Issue: I notice if I use the "Quick Settings" widget to turn on the GPS nothing that uses GPS will work, the GPS logo on the top will appear and disappear after few seconds. the only option I have is to go to settings -> location -> etc.

Jun 1, 2010The media player shuts off after i unlock the screen. What is causing this? It will play, then lock itself after a minute or so, keep playing, and when I unlock it, it shuts off. Also annoying is that it shuffles forward AND reverse.When I put the weather channel widget on my home screen It never updates itself even though I Juice defender that should allow it to refresh periodically.I'll add one more - the last few apps I downlaoded, i had to cancel 3-4 times, then retry before they are started to download.

Nov 24, 2010Perhaps stupid but in android 1.6 together with the wifi and gps there was a icon to select the sound on/off/vibration know after update to 2.1 i can't find a fast way to change de sound to off or vibration except via the setting menu.
Is there a widget or perhaps a link so you can put it on one of the screens.

I tried uninstalling the app but still the problem persists.I tried switching off the phone, remove battery didn't work also tried the airplane mode on/off without luck also tried changing the ENABLE DATA in the settings no luck Cleare all current APN's and re installed the APN settings but still the problem persists?

Sep 15, 2010I was surprised that SONY is not providing a software which enables the user to sync the Xperia X10 mini pro directly with your computer (e.g. Outlook).
After wasting a lot of time I generated an account at Sony webpage and managed all my accounts including "birthday" but now I found out that the

Jul 29, 2010So I did some modding (unfortunately) to the framework-res.apk file and it worked the first time and a few other times but then I changed something and now when I turn on the phone it freezes at the "Sony Ericsson" screen before the logo. What do I do?
I tried pushing the backup framework file but it says "failed to copy framework-res.apk to /sdcard/framework-res.apk: Permission denied
However, when I use adb devices, it does show my device as being attached.
So what can I do now?
I was also able to pull files...
Also tried manually putting the framework-res.apk in the sdcard and then using adb to copy it to the framework folder. Doesnt work. Saids that the directory cannot be open for read. I guess the device cant read the SD card until it boots up.

Dec 2, 2010I'd like to use my X10 to keep all of my contacts' postal addresses in instead of the tatty old address book I carry in my handbag(!) I didn't fancy typing them all into the phone, so thought I would use the Sony Ericsson sync and put them into the pc first via the PC Companion sync application, and set up the sync to transfer them into my phone. I have tried a test run adding only a couple of addresses to my contacts on the pc, and adding one to my phone, but when I do a sync, the addresses don't transfer either way. I know that the actual sync is working because I added photos too and they transfer....... I must be doing something wrong that is easily rectified?
