I have loaded the pc companion software and managed to connect my phone to my pc, but I am unable to use my phone as a dial-up modem. The pc companion software seems to have no function to do this. The Internet on my phone works fine. How do I set up my experia x10 mini to use it as a dial-up modem?

Can anyone tell me whether I can use my X10 as a modem for my laptop? I've been told that if I download PC suite then I can but I can't seem to get my phone to sync with it.

It does everything else I need, but it has to do this for me to go ahead and purchase it. Will it work as a modem with Android 1.6 and 2.1? It would be great if it could also work as a wireless hot spot, but it has to be able to do a USB tether.

I am Orange in the UK and have also had the new shared settings for using the phone on the T-Mobile Network. Earlier I received some text messages and a missed call but was unable to drag the status bar down to check who they were from. I switched off phone and re-started but have found that the "Activating Phone" icon kicks in before I can complete my Sim lock number and press ok. The phone just wants to stay in the "Activating Phone" mode but doesn't start up properly. If I enter the pin correctly and press ok Very quickly I can start the phone ok.

When receiving .jpg files via emails i am having problems and have had from day one is i cant seem to open the images through the phone. I either get a list of phone numbers I don't recognize (998-xxx-xxx, etc) or after clearly saying "call voice mail" it comes up with "open calendar". Do I need to train it to my voice, or does it just not work? Is there another ap out there that works? Before got this I had heard rave revews about android voice dialing, now I am very disappointed.

Most if not all the Motorola Phones I've had over the years have this capability, and given the Droidx is seen by my Linux laptop as both a USB storage device and Network device is there any way to set it up as a USB modem that could accept AT commands from a terminal program and dial out to a remote modem?
