How can i put a verbal connection that alerts me to whoever is calling by saying their name
when my Xperia X10 has an incoming call ?

Just wondering if there is a way to have a different sound for each alert, similar to a blackberry. Eg. A sound for alarm, text, email, each different. I don't want my calendar using my quiet sms ringtone.

View 1 Replies View Relatedthe phone constantly calling the wrong person from my call log, i can live with, angry as it makes me, i live with it. the phone just topped the list with this act. i had the screen locked. phone hadnt been used for almost 30 minutes. i plug it into my charger, and i hear a ringing, i look the screen is locked but lit up as it does when i plug it in, and the phone call handset picture is on, the piece of **** crap had started to call someone. and this was a person i had called almost 11 hours ago and ive since made a half dozen calls to other people. i had to pull down the drop down menu to end the call. yeah real nice getting a phone call at 1245 in the morning. **** me, im calling rogers and loosing it on some ***** call center rep tomorrow. i can see the phone acting out and freezing and lagging, but calling people on its own because i plug it in to charge.
View 22 Replies View RelatedWhen I try to make a call, I select a number and it displays "Dialing", then I wait few seconds and it displays "Call ended" and ends the call.No dialing tone or anything.It does it a lot.And people cannot get hold of me as well. Therefore I miss a lot of calls.I tried switching my SIM card to another phone and its better.Anything I can do? SO annoying, damn expensive phone and cannot use it properly.I am on Three network, UK.

The screen of xperia mini pro is quickly turn off when calling and i have to spend 5 second before touching the screen again to hang up.

I open th recent call list and click one of the recent calls but instead of dialing that contact my phone dials a different contact which is different altogather. Initially i thought that I have selected wrong contact but recently I noticed that the contact it actually called was way down in the list that it was not even visible.
View 1 Replies View RelatedIs anyone else having trouble staying connected to "Wi-Fi"? I am having 3 problems:
#1: For some reason, my phone will show the connection and 10-15 minutes later, the connection is gone. Nothing changed, the router is like 2-4 feet away and it is a "G" router.
#2: The other problem I am having with the Wi-Fi is the indicator will drop off of the notification bar, but when I go to the settings, the Wi-Fi is highlighted like it is connected, but there is NO connection stated under the Wi-Fi setting.
#3: The Wi-Fi will drop off of the notification bar and when I go to the settings the Wi-Fi indicator is highlighted indicating active, but again, nothing under the Wi-Fi stating what the connection is. So I choose the same connection it has been using and I connection will state it is out of range, when in fact it is 2-4 feet away, again, nothing changed. So I reset the router and it will try to obtain a connection, but says it is unsuccessful, however, the network states under the name that it is "Remembered". So I highlight the network and than I get a Disconnect. This is really becoming an irratating issue! It worked fine first 2 days and than bam, starts to go crazy. So is anyone else experiencing this issue?
I could not get on the net whilst at football, no 3G symbol. That might have been how i left it but my friend sat next to me with a very old phone got the net straight away?

My sync wont work with sony soft ware due to email not existing to a current account or pass word is wrong, Niether are due to I can log in via my pc no problems
My second new issue since the so called up date is my wifi keep looseing it connection and unable to connect again even though the passwords not change and the single strength still the same.
My point is are othe people having similar issue and is sony aware and will the soft ware update pos when ever they are going IF going to happen pos sort this out.
Have finally received my X10 and must say am very impressed with it on the whole.Am finding it fast and responsive but do get the occassional need to tap the selection again and have also experienced the 'a' issue with the keyboard.
Have got a few questions which hopefully you guys can help with as Android is all new to me having come from Windows Mobile:
*Is there a way to disable the GPRS connection as it seems to be continuously connected or is this normal with Android?
*Do you guys know of a GPRS data app that can monitor my internet usage?
*Am going to purchase 'Betterkeyboard' from the Marketplace but if I was to factory reset the handset would I be able to download the app without paying again.

I'm just trying to work through my phone after updating to 2.1, it's like having a new phone and starting all over again! On the new 2.1 if you got to Settings, Wireless and Network, Mobile Networks....the top two are "Data Roaming" and "Date Traffic". Is DATA TRAFFIC equivalent to the Internet/MMS application on 1.6? If I click Yes to Data Traffic it warns me that "addtional charges may apply....." etc etc. I didn't get that warning on 1.6? Is this just the standard internet connection?

My problem is that I can get the phone to connect to my home wifi, ping it, use Skype, BUT I cannot get it to browse the net or download from the market. It is a linksys - WRT54G on firmware v4.30.2, other phones and pc have no problem.

View 2 Replies View RelatedI've been trying to connect the Xperia x10 that I received yesterday to T-Mobile data network but no joy. Everything else works ok except for the t-mobile data connection. I have tried everything, setting apn manually - even have reset the phone etc. In the mobile networks menu the Auto Internet Settings option is grayed out. This is a French phone that I got from Expanses US internet vendor. The manual is in French and its got a french wall plug. I had no clue I was buying an import as the web cite does not specify that it is an import and in the discussion with salesman it was never mentioned that it was an import but he assured me it had a us warranty and was able to connect 3g to t-mobile therefore I assumed it was a US phone. Sony Ericsson tells me this phone is not yet released in US.

View 4 Replies View Relatedhaving been notified that my x10 mini required an update I connected to PC using PC companion. The update failed halfway through and could not be restarted (battery was fully charged at start of update).
The phone now will not switch on and only displays a triangle with an attention symbol in the middle of it. I have tried the reset (home button and power on together) and also have tried to connect to PC companion to re-try update, however because the the phone only displays the triangle i cannot connect to PC and therefore cannot load software update. I effectively now have a very pretty paper weight.
Is there a way to use Internet Connection of my Laptop on Xperia X10 Mini Pro.

When I have wi fi turned off, as I can't connect when I am not in work anyway I use the usual O2 facilty however in this mode, I cannot download anything. I seem to be receiving my email notification ok. Is there something I may need to change in my settings?
