Nov 3, 2010You will need to ROOT your phone to do this, and although this is to change to Global, you can use the codes for region if it has been released.

Nov 2, 2010Seen all these people flashing to Nordic firmware the question is though was it worth it? Sony Ericsson just saw its servers jump by more downloads than it knows it has phones in that region, surely this just means that any software/firmware they release in the future is just gonna be locked down harder. But are X10 users really that impatient. I'll put the first answer - yes. I've seen people complaining about the quality of the update, when they don't even have it yet.

Oct 25, 2010I'm trying to download some free apps from the "Market", does anyone know how long items take? I've tried to download a couple of free things 2 days ago and they are still downloading?
I know my internet is working ok as I can access Yahoo email and the browser no problem so my connection is ok?
But the blue "shimmering" download bar is showing saying "Starting download" but after many many hours still nothing?
Then it stops and I've got to restart it again?
Any ideas on downloading free apps?

Nov 30, 2010I'm on 2.1 nordic on vodaphone uk. 3G was working fine using switch pro to turn it on and off, then I turn it on to download a MMS which it failed and now it won't turn on again! I've put it on airplane mode and changed between network modes that used to enable me to turn it on again in 1.6 but it won't do anything now. I tried turning on and off the arrows show for about 30 seconds then it stops. I had similar problems with 1.6 and that was the vodaphone 1.6 official version. Why is the X10 so crap with 3G?
I've tried numerous switchers on 1.6 and they all ended up stopping working after a while but I could always get it working again now it just failed. Is there anything I should be doing to get MMS to work properly and how do I get 3G back? Any settings I need to put into the APN settings even though it seems everything is filled in automatically by selecting vodaphone as my network. Is it a Android flaw in general or just the X10? I would be totally happy with this phone apart from this which I keep thinking has gone away then starts up again!

Oct 31, 2010All of a sudden apps stopped being able to be downloaded or updated from the market place. They just stay on the 'starting download...' status which is rather irritating. I've tried clearing cache and resetting the market and know i've a master reset as a last chance option but has anyone any ideas before I do this?

Aug 29, 2010I got my new phone yesterday but cannot get applications from Market to download.
Here is what I do:
I select the app I want from Market and select 'Install'
Then I select 'ok'
Then a blue box reads 'Your item will be downloaded'
When I go into the Downloads section, the status bar isnt doing anything and it reads 'starting download' below it.
But nothing ever downloads or even partially downloads.
