View 1 RepliesI have tried the posts on how to get Nordic firmware on my x10 but none of them are working - I cannot stand 1.6 any longer.
View 14 Replies View RelatedYou will need to ROOT your phone to do this, and although this is to change to Global, you can use the codes for region if it has been released.
View 5 Replies View RelatedFor about 3 - 4 weeks ago, I had a problem with my phone after updating the firmware, that there would be some source code running in the right side of the screen, I wrote about it in here and some one told me that I should use pc companion to reset my phone, I did it and it helped or at least I thought it helped. The day after my phone ran out off battery, and when it was charged I turned on my phone and the proble was there again, and since then, every time the phone is turned off and back on again I can start with resetting the phone too get the source code away.
So what can I do? Can I restore to the original firmware again or is that impossible? Because I'm so close of throwing the phone on the ground from 3'rd floor and go back to my iphone again. Another problem, I use the program in the phone to backup all my contacts, sms, call info and so on, but when I restore after a reset ALL my contacts is gone, and yes I have marked the contacts to be backed up.
I just bought my SE x10 mini pro and today I said that there was some firmware updates for it. Then I updated the phone through PC companion and followed the screen and after a while the phone was updated. But then my problem started, I have some source code / text running in the upper right corner of my phone screen all the time. Every time I'm starting a new program or returning to home screen I can see the commands the phone is giving. How do I get rid of it?

View 15 Replies View RelatedSeen all these people flashing to Nordic firmware the question is though was it worth it? Sony Ericsson just saw its servers jump by more downloads than it knows it has phones in that region, surely this just means that any software/firmware they release in the future is just gonna be locked down harder. But are X10 users really that impatient. I'll put the first answer - yes. I've seen people complaining about the quality of the update, when they don't even have it yet.
View 16 Replies View RelatedI experienced no problems with the installed firmware (versjon 14) with my X10, but I read on a forum that some people had gotten their device a bit faster and smoother after installing the update that is available (version 16). I installed the update and now I regret and wish I never would have done it.
Now I have the problem with the "a" butten. When I hit the "a" button, I just get that the button was pushed and nothing happens in the textfield, so I have to push the "a" button twice to get something.
I couldn't find my wireless internett that was turned on, and in some of the programs when I write, nothing shows up in the textfield, but I can see that the text registered by the device because I can see the wordexamples coming up as I write. I wonder if there is a way to downgrade to the preinstalled firmware?
Does anyone have a link to the uk 2.1 firmware?I've tried this method Newbies Guide to Rooting X10 and giving you the newest firmware! - xda-developers but I get the java error and I can't find another DeviceID even after uninstalling all the SE software and retrying it all so I was going to flash using this method x10 Flash 2.1 Final + Global World Firmware 2.1 - xda-developers but I'd rather put on the uk firmware than the global one
View 1 Replies View RelatedSimple question - I've got an update via SUES this week and there's a small fault with it (a library file is showing up in the app list). Is there any way I can report this to SE? I don't really want to mail the SE Answers team, but at the moment this looks like the only route.

View 2 Replies View RelatedI have an X10 Mini unbranded, bought in Brazil, having the model number E10a, as I guess everyone in America continent has.
My question is: why do Europe get so many firmware updates and we just stay still? I'm saying that because as I was reading many forums about X10 Mini, I constantly seeing firmware updates, maybe I'm wrong, and the FW numbers differs from E10a and E10i.
So, my question is, FW 1.2.A.1.174 for the E10i is the same as 1.1.A.0.9 for the E10a? If they're both the same, no problem, but I don't think they're the same.
I just ran an update using the SEUS and I have received a couple Vodafone applications and a Sony Ericsson Sync application are there meant to be any other changed that I have missed?
Firmware version is still 1.6
Baseband version 1.1.28
Build number is still on 24?
How do i upgrade my SE Xperia X10 from 1.6 to 2.1 of the firmware version?

I found out there is a problem regarding the 3G network, and I want to go back to the AT&T version. Is there any way i can do that?
Just a simple question.
What is the best software to use to update the X10 firmware?
The Sony Ericsson Update Service or there PC Companion software, which I have just noticed can update the firmware also.
My phone said there was an update. So i connected it to the computer and downloaded the update program. It didn't update properly and gave an error. I have tried to repair the phone and now my phone is dead. Wont switch on.
How can i fix this?
After updating to firmware version R2BA023 I am unable to open the TrackID app. I get the following error message:
Sorry! The application TrackID (process com.sonyericsson.trackid3.client.rachael) has stopped unexpectedly. Please try again.
I have re-installed the app but the problem still persists. Does anyone know how to resolve this issue?
Does anyone know whether the X10 supports FM radio firmware or software? I am quite get use to listening to the AM/FM radio with my previous phone, but I don't know whether this handset supports any FM Radio firmware or software?I am looking forward to receiving any answer of it.
View 6 Replies View RelatedI bought an X10i a few months ago and I was installing PC Companion on my mothers PC when it told me there was an update to the firmware. When I came home on my own PC it told me I was up to date. I uninstalled companion and reinstalled it and was told of the update. When I try to update it goes through the first 2 steps and then tells me to unplug the USB cable from both the PC and Phone, make sure it is charged to 50%, turn off the phone for 5 seconds and plug it back into the PC and while holding the back button plug the USB cable into the phone. When I do this nothing happens the update just sits there. I've tried this with both PC companion and SEUS and then same thing happens on both. I've also tried updating from the phone but it says it's up to date. I'm in Ireland on O2 and my firmware is 1.6 and build is R1FA016.
View 2 Replies View RelatedI am thinking about rooting my X10i so I can get the great apps that I have seen that are unfortunately limited to rooted phones only.
What is the quickest and easiest way to root my X10i on firmware R2BA026? (please proved any links necessary)
Will everything on my phone be deleted during rooting process?
Will I still be able to get future updates with SEUS or OTA like usual, or will I need to re-root each time.
What are the pros and cons of rooting?
Is there any well known problems when rooting with R2BA026 firmware? If so what are they and can they be resolved easily?
Also, if I cannot install updates via SEUS or OTA, is there anyway to have root access and still be able to do this? What would you recommend I do?
Very strange, phone has been working fine. Battery was fully charged this morning after it's overnight charge and phone was working. I went to work and took the phone out during my mid-morning break and it's dead. Attached it to the charger that I keep at work and still nothing after a few minutes. I took the battery and the sim card out. Battery voltage is 4VDC which is fine. Reinstalled the battery and tried turning on the phone with and without the sim card,, nothing from the phone, not every the status LED. Is there a hidden reset switch somewhere or is it pouched? The phone is only 2 months old so I'm sure my carrier will replace it if it comes to that, at which point I'll have to decide whether or not to replace it with another Xperia and or go black or white. Mine is black, but I really like the looks of the phone in white. Any suggestions will be appreciated.

View 3 Replies View RelatedI am using Sony Ericsson Xperia X10 mini pro with 1.6 firmware very recently purchased, As i dont have the android market icon, i just done Factory Reset to my handset and after that i noticed that my contacts in the phone book gets errased whenever i switch off my mobile and again switch on my phone book contacts are completely erased..... again i need to restore it from Back up and Restore application which is present defaultly.
So everytime I am Restoring my contacts and again it gets refreshed. I even reinstalled my OS android 1.6 (as 2.1 notification i didn't get) even after reinstalling i am facing the same problem no contacts on my phone book.
Is there any solutions for this ..........? you all guys knows very well that if there is a problem with phone book (contacts) how hectic it is......... no use of using mobiles then......... i am missing the important contacts everytime.
so everytime i am doing back up and doing restoring........ I dont use any synchornized apps.... i use the "Back up & Restore" application which came along with my mobile and I haven't installed any new apps till now....
Note:
Actually before doing Factory Reset the phone book worked fine no refreshments of contacts happened.
Whilst typoing a message my x10 mini just freezed. No matter what I try it cant switch off or reboot.
View 11 Replies View Relatedhaving been notified that my x10 mini required an update I connected to PC using PC companion. The update failed halfway through and could not be restarted (battery was fully charged at start of update).
The phone now will not switch on and only displays a triangle with an attention symbol in the middle of it. I have tried the reset (home button and power on together) and also have tried to connect to PC companion to re-try update, however because the the phone only displays the triangle i cannot connect to PC and therefore cannot load software update. I effectively now have a very pretty paper weight.
