View 3 Replies View RelatedI was just wondering how, if possible, to check Internet usage? I'm with Orange on a monthly contract, think my allowance is 500GB a month? Is there a way to check usage as going along, don't fancy getting a bill at the end of the month which is huge! Say I use the Internet (Google, Facebook etc etc) one hour a day, is that a reasonable amount to be within the 500GB limit? I don't want to get a huge surprise when the monthly bill comes through.
View 5 Replies View RelatedI was told by my contact center that it was imporant to download the new version of the Backup & Restore application before starting the upgrade to 2.1, as the pre-installed version was out-of-date. It's available at m.sonyericsson.com/backup (browse on your phone). Otherwise you risk loosing stuff you thought you had backed up!

View 1 Replies View RelatedIs it possible to wipe the X10 and clean install the latest version of Android on it? Will it work properly and recognise all the X10's hardware functionality? I suppose the camera app and options will be lost... not sure if there r camera apps to cover this.

View 1 Replies View RelatedAccording to my "What's using the Battery" function, my radio has been on for 4 days, but if I select the Radio App itself, it is switched off on the screen. I've tried the "Force Off" function under Apps Settings, but still the Battery-use screen shows the radio as running. Is there a way to quickly check what apps are running in the background, and - preferably - easily switch them off?

View 6 Replies View RelatedAnyone managed to get it working? or does the black screen still haunt the x10? I'm hoping the problem will be resolved very soon, or maybe when 2.1 is out.
View 2 Replies View RelatedEveryone probably has the exact same Build Number, but than again, maybe a couple don't. So after a search, I was not able to find a thread like this, so here it is. I just received my X10 yesterday and per Sony Support, my X10 has the current OS. So here is my info:
Firmware Version: 1.6
Baseband Version: 1.1.32
Kernel Version: 2.6.29-rel
Build Number: R2CA016
Pc companion said that my x10 is already updated but when i check the firmware version still 1.6.
View 5 Replies View RelatedI have few questions:
1. If I need to upgrade the OS, which will be the next version I can use? (2.0 or 2.1)
2. Can this phone be upgraded directly to 2.2 ?
3. When I bought this phone the dealer said that it can be upgraded to next 6 versions of OS. Is that true?
Has anyone else noticed the reduction in battery performance from SW version 20 to 26? When I updated form 16 to 20 the battery proformance was significantly better. I was getting at least 2 days with moderate use. Now on version 26 I am lucky to get 10 hours . I'm considering going back to version 20 or should I hold tight for the much talked about September update?

View 1 Replies View RelatedI was bored today and decided to do the updating through my phone (not through SE Update Service), unlike the previous 3 weeks, it finally shows there is an update for my phone. I was so excited and immediately hit ok and start downloading. It took total about 30 minutes to download and update the phone. Seems like a major update. I was so happy thinking this has got to be the Android 2.1 firmware update. After updating, the phone automatically restarted itself. Took about 1 minute to restart. Right away, I went to the setting - about phone to check the software version. It still shows Firmware 1.6. But the baseband version is now 1.1.27 instead of 1.1.16 before. What is this baseband version?

View 6 Replies View RelatedI am planning to buy a 32 gb micro sdhc card for my Xperia X10.However, I have found tons of confusing and conflicting information here on SE forums and all over the net.To my surprise, even Sony Ericsson itself giving conflicting information regarding this.On the product page of Xperia X10 (click this link and click on the specifications), it says that Xperia X10 supports microSD up to 16GB only.Whereas the official Sony Ericsson Xperia X10 White paper (on page no.5) says that it supports -microSD, up to 32 GB. (The Sony Ericsson Xperia X10 White paper can be downloaded from this link). Now i urge someone, preferably an SE moderator or staff, to enlighten on this matter and answer how and why SE is giving contradictory and confusing statements regarding the sd card capability and compatibility for the same product?.
View 1 Replies View RelatedI want to synchronise my Sony Ericsson X10 with the sony ericsson website, and the instructions say: -
First, you need to select Sony Ericsson as the default sync service:From the Home screen, tap the applications bar.Tap Settings > Data synchronisation > Select sync applicationSelect Sony Ericsson
But when I do this there is no Sony Ericsson option.
I was surprised that SONY is not providing a software which enables the user to sync the Xperia X10 mini pro directly with your computer (e.g. Outlook).
After wasting a lot of time I generated an account at Sony webpage and managed all my accounts including "birthday" but now I found out that the
phone is not creating a corresponding calendar entry and therefore my phone is not reminding me for any birthday.
So I did some modding (unfortunately) to the framework-res.apk file and it worked the first time and a few other times but then I changed something and now when I turn on the phone it freezes at the "Sony Ericsson" screen before the logo. What do I do?
I tried pushing the backup framework file but it says "failed to copy framework-res.apk to /sdcard/framework-res.apk: Permission denied
However, when I use adb devices, it does show my device as being attached.
So what can I do now?
I was also able to pull files...
Also tried manually putting the framework-res.apk in the sdcard and then using adb to copy it to the framework folder. Doesnt work. Saids that the directory cannot be open for read. I guess the device cant read the SD card until it boots up.
