I have a new Sony E. Vivaz phone. I have hooked it up to my AOL email and am receving emails. However, it will not let me send any emails out to people. It just queues them. And after that says check my email settings but what am I checking for? What do I need to change?

This is driving me crazy! I got this phone to keep in touch with activity on the web forum and my e-mails for the charity I do work for (in between my normal job!!) But every time I try to set up my e-mails I get an error message stating "certificate error. Check that time and date are correct" well, I have and all is OK but am going round in circles - anyone had this problem and what did you have to do?

Is there a way to check usage as going along, don't fancy getting a bill at the end of the month which is huge! Say I use the Internet (Google, Facebook etc etc) one hour a day, is that a reasonable amount to be within the 500GB limit? I don't want to get a huge surprise when the monthly bill comes through.

View 1 Replies View RelatedI tried the to update software on my X2, and ota all went fine until the last step - installing the updates on my phone, there it failed with massage that it could not install and I should check my battery and then that I should try again after recharge. I tried after recharging and still the same error. Now I cannot even start my phone - after switching on it stops with SonyEricsson symbol and hangs there. I need the phone.

I've tried the "Force Off" function under Apps Settings, but still the Battery-use screen shows the radio as running. So after turning off "adjust automatically" about a week ago in the display settings I have noticed a huge battery improvement. My question is what is your brightness set at? 1/4, 1/2, 3/4, full? Just trying to see where most people are with there settings and how the battery has been with it. Right now I'm around 1/4 but wondering if anyone set on about 1/2 or more has noticed battery drainage. Also, will the 2.1 update fix the battery problem?

The files are mainly divx encoded but I have been converting to mpeg4 to play them in Mediascape. The video is skipping / jumping even though it is not at a super-high resolution, bitrate etc. Does anyone know what the best settings are to get video that's watchable? The Jet would play divx files no problem at all and I assumed the X10 would be at least as good...
View 3 Replies View RelatedI just love my X10 mini but have problems with mms, if I send it just goes to queue and get message "unable to send" and if someone send me one I just get an empty message and it says to download, and then if I try to download it says "cannot be downloaded". When I go to settings - settings download - choose Tmobile it just says could not download settings. Retry? I've called already to Tmobile support and spent 2 hours with them and they just couldn't help me as they don't know this phone.

View 1 Replies View RelatedI enabled APN in the settings. But, I want to be able to enable/disable my APN so I can be sure that I'm not getting charged for using the Internet when I'm not. On the top of my screen I see an E with 2 arrows, one pointing up and one pointing down, when I turn my WiFi on this disappears and is replaced by a WiFi icon, and I don't get charged for browsing. But I want to be able to turn APN on and off, I can't uncheck the option for APN which I chose, and the application I downloaded does not work. The icon remains there when I'm not connected to a router even if APN is disabled.

View 2 Replies View RelatedIt keeps ringing! I had a couple of texts, which I read, then the phone just kept on ringing. Totally bizarre. I tried everything - changing the settings on ring tone etc, vibrate only, nothing has worked. The only thing that works is turning it off & on again (but when I receive another text, off it goes again!). I eventually just turned down the volume but obviously this is not practical. I drove all the way home with it ringing merrily beside me!
I saw on another forum someone else has had this problem, but no solution was offered. I tried changing the ring tone, but even after choosing another tone, it still rang with the other tone, ie 2 different rings at the same time! A friend says her blackberry does the same, and requires the text to be acknowledged. I tried this, even deleted the messages, but no joy.
when I explore my newly bought mobile phone I realized that my Keyboard only has chinese keyboard. In my oppinion, this chinese keyboard is not user friendly and hard to use. so I tried to change any settings that related to keyboard and language but still my Keyboard still in chinese. When I streamed at youtube (http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=UxAHM6epz8U) the Keyboard has an english version (but my keyboard is not the same as in the video above). I googled for a while and found no reference for this. Please can anyone help me or experience the same problem as me?
