Has anyone else noticed the reduction in battery performance from SW version 20 to 26? When I updated form 16 to 20 the battery proformance was significantly better. I was getting at least 2 days with moderate use. Now on version 26 I am lucky to get 10 hours . I'm considering going back to version 20 or should I hold tight for the much talked about September update?

I think we are all victims of SE because
1) poor battery performance
2) outdated system
3) low sound quality to the point i cant use it in a crowded environment
4) all this crap for a premium price
What if this was a car or any other equipment, Shouldn't the iron heads at sony recall this product. i feel cheated by buying this phone. at the end of the day this is a premium piece of equipment brought at a premium price and not a prototype.
My battery on my X10 struggles to last a day between charges. I've turned everything off that I can find to try and improve battery life but haven't noticed any improvement
Is this normal for this handset?
Went through the Over Air update process yesterday, now WIFI drops all the time and the battery performance is so ppor the phone will not last a day!!! Can I put back the old SW or get this fixed some how? (edit a config fiel or somthing.......?)

SE pls do something to improve the phone as i can see the specification of this phone is really good just that the software sucks. and this phone is not cheap at all. cost me almost like the price of an iphone

View 49 Replies View RelatedFor some time ago I updated my X10 to Android 2.1 and today (a week later) I noticeed all the sudden that Mediascape has linked alot of my pictures stored in my phone to some of my Facebook contacts automatically. Of course Mediascape got it all wrong, linking my children to old friends I haven't met in several years etc. This raises a couple of questions:
1. First - how do I disable Face recognition service entirely. I find this very unuseful since I have found it not that good at identifying persons even when trying to learn.
2. How come that Mediascape did this automatic link between my Facebook contact and my pictures?
3. Is there a way to clear this linking data that Mediascap does. It's pretty time consuming to have to go through all Facebook friends and select the image and Delete the link between the photo and the friend.
I guess Mediascape must have downloaded images from my frieds facebook galleries and analyzed them somehow. However this isn't something I want my phone to spend time doing. The battery time of my X10 is poor already, it doesn't need to do image processing - at least I should have the option to turn this off?
Overall I find Mediascape pertty crappy. Mostly because it's performance. I guess the ideas behind it is good, but the implementation isn't near good enough.
For example, slow browsing between images. Compare with iPhone, Samsung galaxy, HTC phones, older SonyEricsson phones such as W715 or C905. All these perform much better. Is there a way to remove this or use another media viewer?
I am considering getting an upgrade on my MicroSD. But not sure which class to buy.
How does higher MicroSD HC speed of class 4 and 6 helps with Xperia X10 performance?

Kernel Version: 2.6.29-rel
Build Number: R2CA016
Pc companion said that my x10 is already updated but when i check the firmware version still 1.6.

I was told by my contact center that it was imporant to download the new version of the Backup & Restore application before starting the upgrade to 2.1, as the pre-installed version was out-of-date. It's available at m.sonyericsson.com/backup (browse on your phone). Otherwise you risk loosing stuff you thought you had backed up!
View 28 Replies View RelatedI was bored today and decided to do the updating through my phone (not through SE Update Service), unlike the previous 3 weeks, it finally shows there is an update for my phone. I was so excited and immediately hit ok and start downloading. It took total about 30 minutes to download and update the phone. Seems like a major update. I was so happy thinking this has got to be the Android 2.1 firmware update. After updating, the phone automatically restarted itself. Took about 1 minute to restart. Right away, I went to the setting - about phone to check the software version. It still shows Firmware 1.6. But the baseband version is now 1.1.27 instead of 1.1.16 before. What is this baseband version?

View 6 Replies View RelatedI've just started using my X2 as a music player and as expected that uses more battery than how I normally use the phone.I've plugged the phone into my laptop (with a genuine SE cable) and stopped everything I can in the task manager.The "backlight and power screen" says the phone is charging but the percentage is going down not up.The phone is just sitting there in standby with nothing running (as far as I know) - certainly no bluetooth or wireless.

I bought my xperia x10 along 1 week It is awesome and blah blah, but theres something wrong with my battery it just doesnt up more than 50%... sometimes 51% or 53% but no more...And even if it is charging it comes down.... I went to the store where i Bought it and they replace with some new, but it is still the same, i dont know if my xperia is bad as well...I didn't wanted to root it because i'm not sure if I need to change it ..... I'm really dissappointed, anyone have or had this same trouble? I always charge the battery 8 hours...

I now have a problem with my battery. A few hours ago, my battery level was around 35%. A few hours later, it remained at 35% indication. Since this couldn't be correct, i restarted the phone. Now, my battery indication was 100%. False again. I turned the phone off. It wouldn't restart. I tried the 'flash device method' by holding back button and putting in computer USB. No help. I tried SEUS. After that, phone switched back on, with false battery indication back to 100%, which is impossible. I noticed that during all this 'fun stuff', my battery refuses to charge. The LED indicator remains green without flashing, the settings screen doesnt say 'charging'. I know that the phone won't charge below 95% battery. So, the phone thinks the battery is 100%, therefore won't charge, and I'm pretty screwed, especially since I fear that once my battery drops dead, the phone won't be able to charge ever since it will think its 100% full.
